‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ Trailer: Our Wish List

Let’s kill some time before Wednesday’s sneak peek by thinking up our dream trailer, in ‘Twilight’ Tuesday. By Kara Warner Robert Pattinson in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” Photo: Is it Wednesday yet? We are anxiously awaiting the debut of yet another expectedly epic teaser trailer for “Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” and although there was a brief moment of reprieve when we got a sneak peek at 13 seconds of the teaser on Tuesday (June 19), we’re now in full-on obsessive analytical mode, which means it’s time to think about the five things we’re hoping to see in this new trailer: Renesmee, Renesmee, Renesmee As much as we’d like to ooh and ahh over how cute Edward and Bella’s progeny is as a baby, now that we’ve seen a photo of Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee , we’re thirsty for scenes of the young lass in action. Baby? What baby? As we all know, her existence is a continued threat to the Volturi, so we’re hoping to see some of that intensity play out. New Vampires! It seems like I write about this every week, but I’m still dying to see more of those new additions to the cast , i.e. all the other vampires from the non-Cullen clan. Where and why are you hiding Garrett, Carmen, Irina, etc.? Vampire Bella’s Mind Tricks We very likely won’t be seeing Bella’s secret superpower until the end of the movie, but how about showing us a little sample of what she can do with her soon-to-be-superstrong mental force field? I’ll settle for a quick glimpse of her arm-wrestling battle royale with Emmett, but it would be great to see how Bill Condon and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg adapted Stephenie Meyer’s description of Bella’s mind tricks. The Next Great “Twilight” Song Biased as I am, it’s going to be hard for anyone to top the Edward/Bella love song from “Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” “Turning Page” by Sleeping at Last , but in knowing the caliber of the “Twilight” soundtracks, I’m betting it will include several potential new favorite songs. So why not give us a little listen in this new trailer? Jacob Not Being Creepy With Renesmee I am all about my love for Jacob, but the whole imprinting on Renesmee thing still creeps me out. I know, I know, he only feels and thinks about his total devotion to the young lady, but I just can’t get past the oddness of it all. Something that would help me get over that is if I could see how Taylor Lautner’s Jacob interacts with Foy as Renesmee. What do you want to see in the trailer? Let us know in the comments or tweet me @karawarner! For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .

Breaking Dawn First Images: Bella and Edward Welcome Renesmee, Lautner Insists Imprinting Not Creepy

Oh hey, remember Twilight ? That book that was a movie that spawned a gazillion-dollar franchise before The Hunger Games and Fifty Shades of Grey made you momentarily forget about sparkly vampires? Well, it’s back, and the latest EW cover serves to remind us all that Breaking Dawn – Part 2 — the franchise ender, due in November — is just on the horizon. Forthwith, your first look at Vampire Bella, Daddy Edward, and, uh, Uncle Jacob with Breaking Dawn ‘s preternaturally mature baby Renesmee. EW teases their June 22 issue with family portraits of Bella ( Kristen Stewart ), Edward ( Robert Pattinson ), Jacob ( Taylor Lautner ), and little Renesmee, a new character introduced in Breaking Dawn – Part 2 . Per Stephenie Meyer’s final Twilight novel, Renesmee is the half-human, half-vampire baby whose birth pretty much kills Bella at the end of Breaking Dawn – Part 1 , necessitating Bella’s transformation into a vampire and kicking off the final chapter of zany events in the series. Among the stranger details of Breaking Dawn – Part 2 : Renesmee is a hybrid creature baby who grows at an accelerated rate, hence why she looks more like Siri Cruise than a normal infant. (Forget Twilight – let’s get to the untold story of Matt Leblanc, amirite?) Eleven-year-old newcomer Mackenzie Foy nabbed the role of Renesmee, and from the looks of EW’s preview she gets considerable face time with not only her vampire parents (and Jacob — more on that in a bit) but with the various assembled international vampires that gather to rally around the Cullen clan as the evil Volturi vamps head to America to wipe them out. EW’s Twilight issue hits stands June 15, along with new images from the film. Take a look at the Cullen brood… And the various global vampire clans that gather in Breaking Dawn – Part 2 : Of course, Dakota Fanning returns with the Volturi… …and Vampire Bella is strong enough to arm-wrestle Emmett… …but let’s talk about Jacob and Renesmee and the love that dare not speak its name: Imprinting. Scans of the EW cover story have already leaked, revealing bits of the cast and director interviews discussing the set, casting Foy (“Even our hands look similar,” marvels Stewart), etc. But let’s jump right over to the elephant in the room, shall we? Lautner addresses his Breaking Dawn challenge — making Jacob “imprint” on his soulmate, baby Renesmee, without making it feel, you know, creepy (via Nessie-Mackenzie.com ): …talking to Stephenie Meyer and diving back into the book got him more comfortable with the notion of being in love with a child. “Everyone likes to tease me about it,” he says. “Everyone thinks it’s so funny, and I laugh along with them, but it’s important for me to keep in my mind that it’s as simple as a lifelong bond. It’s not nearly as creepy as everybody likes to joke.” That “everybody” includes Pattinson, needless to say. “Oh, I can’t wait till he has to do live TV,” Pattinson says of Lautner with a gleeful cackle. “Did you ask him if his taste in women has changed? The first scene I saw them together, I literally could not stop laughing. I wouldn’t have been able to do it.” Well, good luck to Lautner. I don’t care if Stewart had to wear uncomfortable contact lenses, he’s officially got the hardest job of anyone on Twilight . Look for more in EW’s June 22 issue. [ EW ]

‘Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ Wins Best Movie 2012 At Movie Awards

Penultimate ‘Twilight’ film earns the series its fourth Golden Popcorn in the category. By Amy Wilkinson Taylor Lautner accepts Best Movie for “Breaking Dawn” at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images UNIVERSAL CITY, California — It was a pair of four-peats for “The Twilight Saga” at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards , as the vampire romance not only took home Best Kiss , but the night’s big award — Best Movie — as well. The flick beat out fellow contenders “The Hunger Games,” “Bridesmaids,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” and “The Help” for its fourth consecutive Golden Popcorn in the category. Stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone and producer Wyck Godfrey took the stage to accept the award from presenter and Stewart’s “Panic Room” co-star, Jodie Foster. “Thank you so much, you guys, I know I always say the same thing,” Stewart said. “I’ve been promoting ‘Snow White,’ and I get asked a lot of questions, especially about ‘Twilight,’ which I love. The most common is, like, ‘God, you must be so happy to get away from it. You must be so happy to distance yourself from it as far away as you possibly can.’ And I’m like, ‘Shut up! What are you talking about?’ I know we’ve been here for a while, so really, thank you very much.” “We really have so many people to thank, not only for this award but for the past few years,” Lautner chimed in. “But first and foremost, we have to thank you guys. I want to thank the whole entire cast and crew for their hard work and passion on this. Our producers, Wyck Godfrey and Karen Rosenfelt. Our incredible director Bill Condon, all of Summit Entertainment. And I forgot a big one, the creator of this thing, producer and author Stephenie Meyer. I’m so excited for you guys to see the last and final part of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ in theaters November 16.” Jaw-dropping, heart-pounding, gut-busting moments galore. Russell Brand MTV Movie Awards Intro: Hit or Miss?

At the 2012 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday evening, host Russell Brand kicked off the event with a zany monologue in which he mocked Justin Bieber, Charlie Sheen, Kim Kardashian, Michael Fassbender’s penis, Katy Perry and himself. After giving Bieber props for his alleged scuffle with a photographer, Brand said, “Justin Bieber is so pretty that even if he was attacking me, I’d do a little orgasm.” It only got zanier from there. Russell Brand MTV Movie Awards Monologue “The last time I hosted I did marry someone who was there, so I’m keeping my eyes open for a new wife tonight,” Brand said, before shouting, “Fassbender!” That would be Michael Fassbender, who was there to represent Prometheus . Brand also goofed on Charlie Sheen, who was there for reasons unknown, saying he’d stashed alcohol and some cocaine under the actor’s seat. You know, just in case. Perhaps most amusingly, Brand thanked Kim Kardashian and Kanye West for taking the pressure off of him – in terms of short-lived marriages and humiliating MTV award moments, respectively – and said he hopes they make a sex tape together. Hopefully Kanye learns from his predecessor and stays sober during it, though, because Ray J “just looked a little too pleased with himself” while nailing KK. Brand would also shot out “Twilight!” and “Hunger Games!” intermittently and for no apparent reason. What do you think of Russell’s monologue? Grade it below :

Kristen Stewart Makes Out with Self at MTV Movie Awards

Kristen Stewart. Who knew she had it in her?!? At last night’s MTV Movie Awards , the Twilight Saga star won Best Kiss along with co-star and real-life boyfriend Robert Pattinson. It was the latter’s third consecutive time taking home this trophy, only in this case Pattinson and Stewart did not make out, nor did Rob kiss Taylor Lautner , because he was not in attendance. So, what was a lonely Stewart to do on stage? Actually be funny! She called out for Chris Hemsworth as a make-out partner… then Charlize Theron… and finally Lautner (“Taylor, old friend. Help an old friend. Come on!”). When no one showed up, Kristen was forced to rely on her own lips. Watch the video now and see what we mean: Kristen Stewart Wins Best Kiss
