Dads premiered tonight on Fox and this is the best thing you can say about the Seth MacFarlane-produced sitcom: It depicts equal opportunity racism! Well, mostly. The series has come under fire (yes, already) for dressing a lead Asian character up as a school girl in order to impress investors and for having a character scream out: “The Chinese are a lovely and honorable people, but you can’t trust them! There’s a reason Shanghai is a verb!” There’s also a quip about Asian men having small penises. So it does go pretty hard after one ethnic group in particular. But, hey, there’s also a joke about Latina women being maids! The cast of Dads is actually decent, with Giovanni Ribisi and Seth Green portraying the children of Martin Mull and Peter Riegert, but that only raises another question about the new comedy: Just how much were these actors paid to star in this insulting nonsense?!? Overall, Dads make 2 Broke Girls look clean and Emmy worthy. It’s hard (and depressing) to imagine it lasting more than two episodes. But that’s just our opinion! What is yours? Brooklyn Nine-Nine premiered tonight on Fox, introducing Andy Samberg to the television universe as a goofy/cocky detective and Andre Braugher as his stern, non-nonsense new captain. Did the comedy come out shooting blanks? Or were its jokes on target? Thanks to a couple of perfectly-cast leads, as well as creators also responsible for Parks and Recreation , most critics have pegged Brooklyn Nine-Nine as the best new comedy of the fall TV season – and it’s easy to see why. The police station provides a unique setting for a sitcom and the reveal of Braugher’s character as gay lends the series an unusual level of gravitas, one this veteran actor is undoubtedly up for. Oh, right, the show is also funny! There’s clear chemistry between Samberg and Braugher, while there’s clear potential in the supporting cast: Joe Lo Truglio as a clumsy grinder; Chelsea Peretti as a quirky civilian aide; Melissa Fumero as Jake’s rival partner and possible love interest and rival; and Stephanie Beatriz as a very serious fellow cop. With Michael Schur and Dan Goor behind the camera, there’s no reason not to believe the series won’t simply grow funnier as various characters are fleshed out. Tami Erin, a.k.a. Pippi Longstocking, says her sex tape is not for sale (by her), will not be released, and that she had nothing to do with it being shopped. She says she will stop at nothing to block any possible sale . So how did the Tami Erin sex tape even reach the market? The former child actress, now 39, blames a bitter ex-boyfriend for attempting to sell a private sex video to the media. Erin’s take on her ex’s motives? “He’s the biggest piece of s–t on the planet.” Well, that clears that up. And this up: In order for a company to release this kind of sex footage, it would need Erin’s permission. So there’s no way it could be done without her consent. Farrah Abraham recently claimed her tape was “leaked” without her permission … which may be the worst lie of all time as it isn’t legally possible. The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking star says you won’t be seeing her get her freak on, ever. And if she means it, she’s 100 percent right. Only time will tell if Erin’s serious.

Evan Ross is the latest name to be added to The Hunger Games franchise. The actor ( 90210 ), 25, will portray Messalla in the final two installments of the story, coming on board Mockingjay as part of the television crew that films propaganda movies in The Capitol. The character serves as the assistant to Cressida, who will be portrayed by Natalie Dormer . Yesterday, Stef Dawson also joined the cast in the role of District 4 victor Annie. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay will come out in two movies and hit theaters on November 21, 2014 and November 20, 2015, respectively. First, of course, Catching Fire will come out THIS November and star Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson, among other big names.
