Seen on the scene… 2016 A3C Hip Hop Festival Recap During last weekend’s A3C Hip-Hop festival artists and festival goers collided to celebrate Hip-Hop music and culture. Spread across Atlanta’s Loudermilk Center and Edgewood Avenue, the 12th annual fest kicked off with a “Welcome To Atlanta” reception honoring ATL innovators and legends Cee Lo and Killer Mike. Mike was given the A3C Social Impact Award for his commitment to equality, while Cee Lo was given the A3C Cultural Influencer Award for his musical career and contributions to fashion and culture. Later BOSSIP’s Deputy Editor Janee Bolden was featured on a “Women At Work: Entrepreneurship In Hip Hop” panel moderated by Shanti Das…. and other artists including Bun B…. and Master P had a n intimate sit-down. Soul pianist Robert Glasper and Bryan Michael Cox also chatted on a panel and recalled stories from their childhood… before playing Five Fingers of Death. Good news, Cougar Town: you no longer own the dumbest title on television. AMC has announced that the upcoming companion series to The Walking Dead will be titled… Fear The Walking Dead. For real! Fear The Walking Dead will premiere this summer, with a 13-episode second season already set for 2016. The first trailer will air this Sunday night, following The Walking Dead Season 5 finale. The new drama will star Cliff Curtis (Gang Related), Kim Dickens (Deadwood), Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey (The 100) as Los Angeles residents struggling to survive the zombie apocalypse. AMC has released the first clip from The Walking Dead Season 5 . It features Carol and Tyreese on the way to Terminus with baby Judith, although their adventure quickly gets interrupted by a group of zombies. The trio makes an understandable run for it, but someone might wanna tell them not to bother rushing over to Terminus: as fans learned to conclude The Walking Dead Season 4, things aren’t exactly peaches and cream over there.
