In the past dozen years on ABC, which just made us feel really old writing that, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have aired some crazy eliminations. There are certainly enough opportunities, considering the setup. After all, we’re going on 30 seasons of the two shows combined, and 24 people (or even more in recent years) get booted for every final rose recipient winner! Here’s a look at 25 of the most shocking through the years … The Bachelor & Bachelorette: 25 Most Stunning Exits 1. DeAnna Pappas AND Jenni Croft View Photo The one that started it all: Brad Womack rejected Jenni Croft on his season finale, and looked poised to propose to fan favorite DeAnna Pappas … who he ALSO rejected! 2. Jason Mesnick View Photo DeAnna Pappas became The Bachelorette, and threw fans for a loop by rejecting beloved single father Jason Mesnick, who was so smitten with her, in favor of Jesse Csincsak … who she stayed engaged to for like two weeks. 3. Melissa Rycroft View Photo Jason Mesnick upped the ante on both Brad and DeAnna in the finale night shocker department. After getting engaged to Melissa Rycroft on his season finale, he dumped her … on the After the Final Rose special, in favor of runner-up Molly Malaney! Scandal Season 4 Episode 15 Recap: Hole-y Moley

On  Scandal Season 4 Episode 15 , Olivia aimed to mend a broken heart… the White House reverted into spin mode… and Huck debated doing a number on B613. Until, that is, her rip-snorting nervous laugh earned her instant infamy. In exchange for a “big pile of money,” Leo Bergen took Susan on as a client, although his tough love eventually made the senator to “quit.” Enter Olivia. And enter a successful Senate hearing for Ross as a result, even if it required a bit of crow-eating on Fitz’s part to coax enough votes from the politicians who believed the West Angola war served as a mockery of democracy. (On a related note, Leo’s “firing” at Abby’s hand actually lit a fire under the lovebirds. Sorry if that grosses you out.) Then there was David Rosen. But why do we somehow doubt her life will be so calm and regular on Scandal Season 4 Episode 16 next Thursday?

Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff: Broken Up Already?!

That didn’t take long. Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff are already broken up … according to a new tabloid cover from an unreliable source, anyway. The Bachelor spoilers don’t indicate anything of the sorts happened, but Life & Style claims Soules cheated on Whitney, and with her best friend! On this week’s finale, after he sent home Becca Tilley not really broken-hearted, Chris and Whitney finally made their public debut as a couple. On the After The Final Rose live show, the pair who gushed about wanting to get married all season long said there was no wedding being planned. Instead, they said, they just want to live as a “normal couple.” Fair enough, but from Soules and Bischoff, this came as something of a surprise … as is Chris going Dancing With the Stars starting next week. This turn of events has raised a few red flags among card carrying members of Bachelor Nation, with some speculating that they’ve already split. How you get from that to the tabloid cover above, proclaiming “Chris & Whitney Over Already: He Slept With Her Best Friend,” is beyond us, however. The cover goes on to tease an inside story detailing how Whitney Bischoff came to realize that Chris Soules was just “using her for fame and money.” Pretty hilarious assertion, given that Chris’ family farm actually does extremely well, and Bischoff was the one dying to move in together with him there. Suge Knight: Out of Hospital, Back in Prison

Finally, some good news for Suge Knight…kinda. It was reported yesterday that Knight was handcuffed to a hospital bed and the situation looked grim for the 49-year-old hip hop mogul. Knight was rushed to the emergency room moments after pleading not guilty to the hit-and-run murder of Terry Carter. On his arrival, he was found to be suffering from potentially deadly blood clots.  The clotting was apparently the result of Knight being shot six times back in August. (Suge’s really had quite the year.) It was the second time in three months that he’d been hospitalized due to clotting, and some insiders suggested that this time, Knight might not make it. But now, TMZ is reporting that Suge is out of the hospital…and back in the slammer. After being treated with blood thinners, the former Death Row Records CEO is reportedly well enough to be treated in the prison infirmary. You know your life has really hit the skids when going back to prison qualifies as “good news.” As for Suge’s legal woes, it’s not currently known when Knight’s murder trial will begin, but if he’s convicted he could spend the rest of his life in prison.  Say what you will about Suge, the man is certainly committed to the thug life.  Suge Knight: From Death Row to Near Death 1. The Bachelor star Chris Soules says he is happy to be in love with the woman who wins his final rose, and heart, on the upcoming season of the ABC hit show. Who is that woman? The Bachelor spoilers have that purported info for you, but he’s not kissing and telling for now, other than to humbly gush about the “journey.” With Chris Soules as the leading man, The Bachelor promises to be a little different this season. True to form, the glitz and glamor have been dialed down. “We stayed in the United States for the most part, obviously spending time in Iowa,” host Chris Harrison says. “We really wanted to embrace who this guy. Part of that means showing the aspiring wives “what the girls are going to have to eventually live with” if they pursue such “a hard-working blue collar guy.” “He comes from a very different place,” Harrison says of the fourth-generation farmer from Arlington, Iowa. “Literally and figuratively. That’s what we were all taken by.” Apparently the ladies were quite taken, as well. Soules tells People Magazine that “I was going in completely open-minded and there were so many great girls … the quality of women was pretty amazing.” The 33-year-old wanted to “see how they could handle it” in Iowa and more broadly in situations that are closer to real life than standard fare on The Bachelor . “It’s not really a show for roughing it. Chris Soules Pregnancy Test Drama: Did New Bachelor Knock Someone Up in the Fantasy Suite?!

Last week, ABC released a promo for The Bachelor that played up the show’s unintentionally comedic aspects, while teasing a few The Bachelor spoilers . Today, the network shared a teaser that focuses on the soap opera-caliber drama that’s made the cutthroat romantic competition series such an addictive reality TV staple over the years. The Bachelor Pregnancy Test Promo it’s an understatement to say there’s a lot going on in this trailer: We get our first extended look at Chris Soules as The Bachelor ; we learn producers have brought in more wannabe-fiancees than ever before…But the real surprise comes at the very end: As the show’s signature, schlocky voice-over promises a season “pregnant with possibility,” the camera closes in on a discarded home pregnancy test… The results screen has been blurred out, so it’s totally possible that one of the ladies simply experienced a false alarm, but the dramatic tease certainly has the Internet abuzz with speculation.  The new promo has raised a number of questions about this upcoming season: Would the show go on if one of the ladies got knocked up? Will the female fans who fell in love with Chris after he got dumped by Andi Dorfman  feel the same way if he gets some rando pregnant? Doesn’t ABC stock that damn Fantasy Suite with condoms?!
