Catherine Giudici Takes Sean Lowe’s Last Name; Bachelor Star So Freakin’ Happy

Catherine Giudici is officially a Lowe. The Bachelor winner took her husband’s last name following her fairy tale TV nuptials with Sean Lowe last month. The switch is official, as Catherine Giudici proudly declared, “The best day of my life. I’m a Lowe!” to her 500,000 Twitter and Instagram followers. The newlyweds have just returned from a romantic honeymoon in the tropics, and Sean says he is “so freakin’ happy” with how it all turned out. Married life does seem to suit the couple rather well. Since returning from her honeymoon, she’s been posting photos of her and her new husband cuddling in bed, as well as photos from her wedding. The two had their doubters when he picked her on The Bachelor, but he was true to his word that she was the one – and he was willing to wait for her. Seriously. They passed a premarital sex polygraph . In making the name change, Cat follows in the footsteps of Bachelorette Trista Rehn, took her husband Ryan Sutter’s last name after their marriage. Molly Malaney, who married former Bachelor Jason Mesnick in 2011, did the same, although Ashley Hebert did not take J.P. Rosenbaum’s last name. Desiree Hartsock is engaged to Chris Siegfried, and they seem like they’re going to make it, so we’ll see if she goes the Lowe route soon enough. As for Juan Pablo and his chosen bride? Not just grilled, but put to the ultimate test – a polygraph test – by Jimmy Kimmel. Seriously. The couple took a lie detector test ahead of their live ABC wedding on Sunday night, and the talk show announced the results on Monday’s show. So, did they really abstain from sex for their entire 16-month relationship, from their engagement on The Bachelor until they tied the knot last weekend? Bachelor Producer, Awful Airplane Passenger Engage in EPIC Feud: Must-Read!

Elan Gale, a TV producer whose credits include The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, got into an epic beef with a passenger on his flight on Thanksgiving. He live-Tweeted the whole thing, from before takeoff until after landing, and every passive-aggressive (or actually aggressive) barb is documented. The airline feud for the ages played out in real time at Gale’s @theyearofelan Twitter handle, and we’ve posted it in full below for your enjoyment. Elan Gale Airline Twitter Fight The saga began as the pair’s US Airways flight to Phoenix was delayed at takeoff, and Elan started sharing his co-passenger’s idiotic reactions. Soon, he decided to engage her, and while he was certainly antagonistic, it’s hard to feel a lot of sympathy for “Diane” after you see her responses. Every line below is a Tweet from Elan. You gotta read this, it’s worth it … Our flight is delayed. A woman on here is very upset because she has Thanksgiving plans. She is the only one obviously. Praying for her She’s telling the flight attendants that it is Thanksgiving. She wants them to know she wants to have dinner with her family The male flight attendant said “I understand ma’am. I’m looking forward to seeing my family too.” She responded “This isn’t about you” Her family is very important to her, she says. Her family has a special recipe for stuffing. This just in: Kanye West is very smitten with Kim Kardashian. In a radio interview with Hot 97 yesterday, the rapper gushed and gushed over his bride-to-be, making it clear just where he believes Kim stands in the pantheon of hot women. “Okay, ladies and gentlemen,” Kanye said. “All barber shops, fashion designers, architects, corner stores, Wall Street, all over the world: “Y’all acting like this ain’t the most beautiful woman of all time! I’m talkin’, like, arguably of human existence – the top 10 of human existence.” West, of course, put his fiancee on full display in the Bound 2 music video that continues to generate headlines and went on to say he’s loved Kardashian “from the first day” he saw her. “Our love story’s a love story for the ages,” Kanye added. “I felt like when we first got together, it was like a Romeo and Juliet kind of thing, where it’s like, she’s a reality star and I’m a rapper, and people talk about how our brands connect and what doesn’t fit. And I’m just so tired of the conversation of brands.” Seriously, West says. Emily Maynard and Tyler Johnson: Dating! Serious!

Emily Maynard and Tyler Johnson are dating, and you could say things are getting pretty serious between The Bachelorette and her new boyfriend. After two public broken engagements, Emily and Tyler, who met at church, are “very serious,” according to a source close to the single mother: “He’s met her daughter, Ricki, and they’re already like a little family unit… They take each other to weddings and will be spending the holidays together.” As for whether she’ll be headed to the altar with Tyler following her two broken reality TV engagements to Brad Womack and Jef Holm , respectively? Not quite yet. Emily Maynard ‘s personal life has been plagued with drama for years now, so she wants to keep the new romance private, and slow it down, for some time. “She’s also had two public, broken engagements so she’s definitely going to hold off on getting engaged again until they are very, very sure,” the source explains. Fair enough. Basically, she only wants to get engaged one more time and only one more time, so she’s cautious even if things are going great with him right now. Emily was also engaged to Ricky Hendrick, the race car driver who was killed in a crash before she even knew she was pregnant with their daughter. Little Ricki has been prominently featured on her two seasons on TV, so that probably factors into her wanting to keep things quiet going forward. Maynard, who currently resides with her daughter in Charlotte, N.C., most recently launched a new jewelry collection and is enjoying time out of the spotlight. After her unsuccessful turns as The Bachelor contestant and The Bachelorette star, one can see why she might want to go the low-key route from now on. Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried Post Sweet Proposal Photo, Make Us Eat Our Words?

Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried sometimes try too hard, but in posting this cute pic from the day they got engaged in Antigua, they showed us. The Bachelorette posted on Twitter, “This Seattle rain makes me want to go back to Antigua for the sun! And it’s such a special place. #whereChrisProposed” At first glance, it appears like yet another classic Desiree move seemingly concocted to remind us they’re still together and to STEP OFF HATERS. We know he proposed there, even though the spoilers had it wrong (speaking of which, check out The Bachelor spoilers for 2014). Move on, girl. Upon second look, though, Des and Chris look so happy, content and normal in this photo. Relaxed, over the moon, in love. No trying too hard there. It’s true that the opportunities and recognition that come with The Bachelorette are nice perks … and headaches, when the tabloids turn on you. But in the end, it’s clear they’re in heaven just being together, even if they’re reportedly pushing for a TV wedding a la Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici . Des and Chris might just make it work long-term. If they can forget about the fame, and the critics whose opinions don’t matter, they’ll be in good shape. Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried: Going Strong, Silencing Critics

Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried from The Bachelorette have dealt with good amount criticisms about their relationship ever since their season ended. They’ve withstood it all, and then some. Through it all, Desiree is not letting it get her down. Tuesday, she quoted Steve Jobs: “Don’t let the noise of other people’s opinions drown out your inner voice.” Words to live by, Juan Pablo Galavis. As Des’ former suitor prepares to begin his JOURNEY on ABC (see The Bachelor spoilers for how that’s going), Hartsock herself is happy as a clam. Her subsequent message on Twitter was in a similar vein. She told her followers “Be the reason someone smiles today! 😉 Life is too short to be grumpy.” Desiree Hartsock has always been one to show her positive spirit, and she has sent critics not-so-subtle messages via her social media accounts in the past. When rumors about her and Chris pop up in the media, she went quickly to Twitter to slam the rumors as false. When there are no rumors, she … stays positive. The Real Housewives of Atlanta Recap: The Wrong Damn Man

The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns with season 6 and NeNe Leakes is not amused by Kenya Moore’s craziness. She’d clearly like her to be “Bye Bye With the Wind.” We recap all the new drama in our THG +/- review. NeNe and her former/once again husband Gregg are back in Atlanta since her show The New Normal got cancelled. Minus 25. I liked that show. So perhaps this isn’t the best time to be messing with Mrs. Leakes. Someone may have wanted to warn Kenya, not that it would have mattered.  Not only did Kenya not show up for NeNe’s wedding extravaganza, she didn’t even RSVP. How rude! Minus 15. Apparently Kenya was ticked off that her ex, Walter was invited as well. Seriously? The girl is still whining about Walter. The man is friends with Gregg. Get over it already. Kenya’s back all of five minutes and I’m already bored.   NeNe’s having none of Miss Gone With the Wind’s crap. And Kenya’s darn lucky she didn’t get slapped down for tugging on NeNe’s ear. Minus 30. Plus did you catch Kenya pumping Porsha Williams for information about her crumbling marriage. Girl, you don’t even like Porsha. Stop acting like this is polite conversation when you’re only looking for some good gossip to spread around. But enough about the “beauty queen on bath salts” as Phaedra Parks calls her. Lets get back to Porsha. Kordell filed for divorce without even telling her. She found out via Twitter. Damn, that’s cold. Minus 40. But Porsha’s marriage vows mean something to her so she’ll consider taking him back if he’ll go into counseling. Honestly I’m happy he turned her down. The guy’s a jerk. He once locked her out of her own home because she came home after curfew. Minus 33.  She’s a grown woman for goodness sake and she can do better. Her Momma says that when Porsha was in the hospital for a week after her miscarriage that Kordell only showed up to visit her once. Once! I’d say it’s more than time to kick that boy to the curb. Momma’s right. He’s the wrong damn man. Porsha’s not the only one with problems in the relationship department this season.  I sense trouble ahead for Cynthia Bailey and Peter. He bought a building with their money and kept it from her for six months. Now he has her moving the Bailey Agency into that building. My guess is that the creditors are at the door and he couldn’t find another tenant. It feels like Peter’s keeping a lot of secrets from his wife when it comes to money and that can’t bode well. Minus 22. Kandi Burruss may have her own issues as well. Looks like her Momma’s suddenly anti-Todd. What happened here? I thought she was thrilled her daughter finally found someone. Todd wants to face this head on…and as much as it sounds like the right plan I can only guess they’ll be plenty of choppy waters to navigate before these two head down the aisle. If they make it there. Phaedra just had her baby. Little Dylan’s darn cute but did we have to see him the moment he was born? Couldn’t they have taken a moment to clean him up before his big television debut? Minus 10. Now Phaedra has a son she calls The Prince and another she calls Mr. President. Is there any chance these kids won’t grow up to be spoiled, arrogant brats? Only time will tell and I expect a long and ridiculously dramatic season to come with The Real Housewives of Atlanta . The Real Housewives of Miami Recap: Drop Your Top

The Real Housewives of Miami play drop your top, but just with friends. Can we “Blame It on the Alcohol” or is it just a case of Miami girls gone wild? We recap all the twerking and stripper poles in our THG +/- review. It’s Vegas baby and Lisa Hochstein’s hosting Joanna Krupa’s bachelorette party at The Palms. Plus 20. Get ready for some late nights, sun filled days, and topless fun. Yup. the girls get topless because isn’t that what you do with your friends? Joanna decided to drop her top in the pool and then went around removing the bikini tops of her friends. Plus 15. Adriana certainly didn’t seem to mind. Alexia put hers back on…and did anyone notice that Lisa’s never came off but she was far more drunk than anyone there? But Lisa’s been fighting with Lenny. She’s in a strange mood and make no mistake, she’s here to get blasted. Let’s rewind and head to the pool in the middle of The Palms. Lisa seemed miffed that Lea felt out of place.  Minus 10. Well why wouldn’t she? She’s surrounded by a bunch of drunk 20-somethings having a massive pool party. Like Lea herself said, she felt like the only adult on Spring Break. And that dance she did with 5 Cent…just weird. Minus 18. On the way back to the room, Lisa rode Joanna like a little work horse. And that’s far from the only riding we’ll see tonight. The ladies prepare to hit the town and can someone tell Lea that those fishnets look ridiculous on her. Minus 20. Then there’s the penis pinata. I’m a little afraid to ask what was stuffed inside.   And this party has barely begun. The ladies hit the party bus complete with male strippers. Suddenly two guys in G-strings are twerking all over Lea.  Believe it or not, it gets worse. Lisa can’t resist a good stripper pole but it looks as though Adriana can’t pass up the pole either.  Plus 25. Before you know it Adriana’s got her face in Joanna’s boobs and she’s giving Lisa a lap dance. If Lisa’s the one who’s blitzed, what’s Adriana’s excuse? But Lisa’s drunkenness gets all the attention and the digs start flying when Lea says Lisa likes to blow things and then Joanna says that with Lisa’s marriage on the rocks so she might need a stripper gig if Lenny leaves her.  Then Alexia jumps in, only to make things worse. Isn’t Lisa the one who threw this party for her good friend? Minus 40 . It’s not nice to kick a drunk friend when they’re down. After an argument about who’s a whore (honestly if anyone looked inside that bus they’d think it was a mobile brothel) Lisa storms off in a huff. These housewives aren’t the brightest when they’re sober, so when they’re this drunk their IQ points take quite a tumble. And hasn’t anyone ever told them not to throw the bachelorette party the night before the wedding? Get ready for the Housewives version of the Hangover tomorrow night. Episode total = -28!                                         Season total = -568!
