Emily Maynard: Rejected on The Bachelorette Finale?!

As the Emily Maynard rumor mill turns … According to a tabloid report, The Bachelorette star herself was shot down on the finale by one of her two remaining hopefuls, Arie Luyendyk, Jr. and Jef Holm. If that’s true, which we doubt, it would make her choice a lot easier! In Touch “reveals” (i.e. fabricates) today that the man who proposes to Emily Maynard on the season finale Sunday, July 22, was not her first choice. “He won by default,” an insider spills . Supposedly. The man who captured Emily’s heart rejected her at the penultimate hour, according to the insider, in an emotional scene filmed for The Bachelorette season finale. Emily was enjoying a date with one of her final two candidates – read The Bachelorette spoilers to see who wins – when he got a sudden case of cold feet. “He said, ‘I don’t think we know each other nearly enough to even be entertaining this; I don’t think we should get engaged,’” says the insider. “She was crying and begging him to reconsider,” says the insider, who says the single mom even blurted out, “You’re the one I want to pick!” This bombshell revelation, which would run contrary to everything he’s said so far, is allegedly followed by her dream man walking off for good. Whether viewers will get to watch this shocking twist play out on air is still uncertain – convenient, as this story may be BS. Also convenient? Despite being ditched by her dream man in stunning fashion, Emily is now happily engaged and living with the other finalist this season. Whatever works … for her and good celebrity gossip . Regardless of whether any of this is true, who do you think is a better fit for her, Arie Luyendyk Jr. or Jef Holm ? Vote in THG’s poll below!

Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Trashed By Cassie Harshman; Ex-Girlfriend Warns Emily Maynard to Run!

Arie Luyendyk Jr.’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Harshman claims that he’s been leading on The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard, and urges her to make a run for it. If she even chooses him, that is. Arie and Jef Holm are the last two men standing. For insight on who she (likely) picks, read The Bachelorette spoilers . In any case, “Arie’s in it for the fame,” at least according to Cassie, who claims “Arie has dated hundreds of women and travels all over the world.” “Clearly, he doesn’t need help finding a date or someone to fall in love with. The whole idea of Arie Luyendyk being on The Bachelorette is a joke.” “He hasn’t really raced much since 2008, and I know with certainty that his only motive for going on the show was for the fame and attention.” Cassie Harshman – not to be confused with Cassie Lambert, The Bachelorette producer he also dated – began dating the 30-year-old in late 2009. He ended up moving in with her and her two young children from a previous relationship. Arie and Cassie broke up for good in December 2011. “He wasn’t the best father figure to my children,” says Cassie, something Emily may want to take note of, she says, given her seven-year-old girl. “Let’s just say that Arie has some growing up to do himself.” A previous report claims he was filmed on The Bachelorette telling Emily that Cassie miscarried his child; if so, this was edited out of the broadcast. “If that happened, I’m mortified that Arie would share such painfully intimate details of our relationship while the cameras were rolling,” Cassie says. “What happened is one of the hardest things a woman can go through. I’ve moved on, but Arie using that to elicit sympathy from Emily is horrible.” Cassie Harshman’s interview with Star/Radar should be taken with a grain of salt, of course. Motives for talking to them are highly questionable. Still, let us know what you think in the comments below, and tell us who you think Emily should pick on the July 22 season finale in the poll:

Miley Cyrus’ New Tattoo: Theodore Roosevelt Quote on the Arm!

We hope you’re sitting down for this breaking celebrity news , THG readers: Miley Cyrus has a new tattoo on her arm. Of a Theodore Roosevelt quote, obviously. While heading out of a West Hollywood Pilates class on Tuesday, Cyrus sported her new ink, quoting “Citizenship in a Republic” by the former U.S. president. The excerpt from the 1910 speech on Miles’ forearm reads: “So that his place shall never be with those cold, timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.” No word if the Miley Cyrus tattoo man plans on adding similar ink in honor his young idol, but Miley isn’t alone in finding inspiration in Teddy’s words. That particular speech of Roosevelt’s moved both Richard Nixon and Nelson Mandela, who quoted from it during pivotal moments in their own careers. Nixon referenced it during his resignation, while Mandela used it to inspire South Africa’s rugby team to beat New Zealand at the historic ’95 World Cup. Miley, meanwhile, will presumably use it at some point to send a stirring Tweet to her fans. She has not done so yet, amazingly … give it 45 minutes. What do you think of Miley Cyrus’ new tattoo? Sean Lowe on Bachelorette Exit: No Regrets, Nothing But Love For Emily

Sean Lowe says he was absolutely crushed by his elimination on The Bachelorette Monday night, and was totally planning to propose to Emily Maynard. In one of the most heartbreaking eliminations in show history, Emily gave Jef Holm and Arie Luyendyk Jr. roses and said goodbye to a devastated Sean. “I’m not sure what to say,” a teary Sean told her. “I feel kind of stupid. Only because I knew with certainty that I was ready to spend forever with you.” “I just didn’t see this coming… obviously. I think you should know it’s going to hurt me,” he added as Emily Maynard broke down in tears, once again.

The Bachelorette Recap: Who Made the Final Two?

If The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard felt that her decision to cut Chris loose after last week’s hometown dates was hard, this one was near impossible. Things got even more serious, emotional and dramatic in Curacao as Emily went on very romantic dates with Arie Luyendyk, Jr., Sean Lowe and Jef Holm. Three worthy candidates, only two roses in play. Who would she pick? And how would she handle the fantasy suite card situation, given that she’s a mom? Follow this link for all The Bachelorette spoilers we know about the July 22 finale, then continue on for THG’s +/- recap of the penultimate episode! Obligatory Curacao nature montage and recap of the final three guys and their “journey” with Emily so far. Minus 4 for the even-longer-than-average filler. Emily has nice penmanship, even in sand. Plus 2 . Sean’s shoes match his blue shirt perfectly. What guy does that? Apparently Sean Lowe, Ames Brown and Pauly D. Minus 5 , in spite of the obvious effort. Look at Sean, getting all flustered talking about his ex … and a little more unnerved trying to open up to Emily. Cute or a red flag? Hard to read. Even . Time’s running out to go there, Sean. Minus 10 . His letter to Ricki made it dusty in here. Plus 25 . Still holding something back, though. Just say it man. Go on. Okay, that kind of counts for redemption. Gotta love that the fantasy suite card is from Chris Harrison. Host-pimp sure knows how to take care of his ridiculously attractive employees. Plus 15 . Plus 20 for Emily calling it a night solo. Even after the hot tub makeout session no less. Girl’s priorities and commitment are pretty impressive. Minus 5 , because as awesome as Sean is, do they lack a spark? Is he too safe? Not exciting enough for Emily, who seems to like guys with an edge? Jef Holm has vaulted from dark horse to full-on frontrunner status. “I’m so happy with where our relationship is right now.” What more can Emily say? “I hope to be the second biggest part of Emily’s life.” – Jef. Smart guy. Plus 10 . There’s a level of communication here that transcends Sean’s. “The sun is setting here in Curacao, but for me and Emily, our whole life together is just beginning.” – Jef/ Bachelorette staff writers. Groan. Minus 5. Emily says she’d move to “wherever you are.” Woman certainly knows what she wants, and more and more, that appears to be Jef. Plus 9 . This is the most serious date in Bachelorette history. Why are you still single? Would Ricki like me? Not leaving anything on the table, are we? Jef quasi-rebuffs the Fantasy Suite invite before Emily can do it to him. Guy’s been playing hard to get from the get-go. Interesting tactic. Plus 7 . “There is a time and a place for everything, and now is the time to bridle these passions.” Very mature move, but who talks like that? Minus 14 . “My connection with Arie was literally almost immediate.” – Emily. That makes literally almost no sense, but we totally get it, so Minus only 3 . “We always want to kiss each other, and it feels great.” – Arie. Well put. Minus 7 . Swimming with the dolphins looks awesome. But not as much as kissing, which is all they seem to do. All of his “top moments” involve kissing. Hey, they’re both good at it. Who wouldn’t want to make out with either of them? So Plus 11 . Ah, but back to reality … what does Arie Luyendyk, Jr. do on a Tuesday morning?! No one knows! Minus 10 , because physical chemistry and dream dates will only carry you so far, even on The Bachelorette . Jef may have the edge as a result. Arie sleeps until 9 and goes out to dinner every night? Not exactly stepfather stuff … but he does seem legitimately interested in Ricki, so Plus 7 . Emily makes Arie feel like a natural man. Or something. Plus 3 ? He’s SO good looking … Emily won’t give him the fantasy suite card because she doesn’t trust herself! The Bachelorette: Mom Edition definitely lacks the sleaze factor of past seasons. Plus 25 , even if it’s sometimes less entertaining. Fireside chat with Chris/filler time. Minus 8 . To paraphrase Chris from like every episode … this could be one of the hardest decisions in Bachelorette history. She seems genuinely interested in all three guys and unsure of who she’ll send home. Break out the tissues early. But she’s got great clothes. Plus 2 . Sean goes all in on his video message at least. Will it be too little, too late against Jef and his usual eloquence, or Arie’s surprisingly moving profession of love? All of them collectively, combined with the circumstances, move her to tears. Plus 10 . Long speech. Longer pause. JEF. Even longer pause. ARIE. Poor Sean. That ranks among the saddest goodbyes in recent memory. Minus 20 . EPISODE TOTAL: +47. SEASON TOTAL: +171. Did Emily Maynard make the right call sending home Sean Lowe? Who do you think she should choose on The Bachelorette finale?

The Bachelorette Preview: Will Sean Lowe Drop the L-Bomb?

Three words. Eight letters. If Gossip Girl quotes have taught us anything, it’s that “I love you” is the hardest thing to say. One contestant on The Bachelorette finds this out tonight. Sean Lowe, whose family made a great impression on Emily Maynard on their hometown date in Dallas last week, gets a little tongue-tied in Curacao. “Sean does a million things to tell me that he’s the one for me,” Emily says. “But I need more. I can’t go through this and fall in love and have it not work again.” “I still feel like Sean is an affectionate guy,” Emily says, “but I still feel like there’s something going on in his mind that he will not let himself go there.” You know what she means by that. So does he. “The love that I’m experiencing with Emily is quite different than love I’ve had in the past,” Sean Lowe says. “So desperately I just want to open up and tell her how I really feel.” “Which is ‘I love you.’ It’s hard to say those words and it’s always been hard.” So will he say it? Will it be enough to get him the final rose June 22? Time (and The Bachelorette spoilers ) will tell. Who do you think she should pick?

The Bachelorette Promo: I’m Falling in Love … With More Than One Person!

Emily Maynard is falling in love on The Bachelorette . That’s the good news. The bad? It’s with more than one person, as she tells us in the promo for next week! Yes, the show recycles this line every season, but in Emily’s case, it really does appear true. Jef Holm, Sean Lowe and Arie Luyendyk, Jr. have all won her over. Who will she pick? Read The Bachelorette spoilers if you want to know the latest intel there. Regardless, it clearly won’t be an easy call for the 26-year-old: The Bachelorette Episode 809 Promo With overnight dates looming in Curacao, how will the single mom reconcile the fact that all of the above are looking more and more like husband material? “From here on out it’s Emily trying to choose a lifestyle, a father for Ricki and a great man and husband for herself. These guys just get better each week and in my opinion she’s narrowed it down to three phenomenal guys,” says host Chris Harrison. “Emily was a mess. She began to get really emotional, not only that time is running out, but she was freaking out that she’s falling for three guys.” “She was thinking how tough it would be to say goodbye to [Chris Bukowski], but really I think she was thinking afterward how it’s going to be impossible to say goodbye to Sean, Arie or Jef. It all hit her that she’s far from done.” Two of these guys are going to be crushed, from the looks of the promo above and everything we’ve seen in recent weeks. But which two is the question? Again, the link above gives away the supposed ending if you’re curious. If you wish to remain in the dark, you likely have a favorite of the remaining three. Her respective chemistry with Arie Luyendyk, Jr. , Sean Lowe and Jef Holm is undeniable, but different in each case. Which suitor will ultimately win out? The season finale airs on a special night, Sunday, July 22, with a LIVE After the Final Rose special to follow, in which Emily makes a big announcement. Who do you think she should pick on The Bachelorette finale?

Tom Cruise "Begged" Katie Holmes For Reconciliation, Was Rebuffed, Report Claims

It’s safe to assume Tom Cruise’s 50th birthday was not what he’d hoped for. According to Us’ cover story (below), he traveled from Iceland, where he’s been shooting the new film Oblivion , to the United States early July 3. If things had gone according to plan for Cruise, he’d have celebrated hitting the half-century mark in Iceland with wife Katie Holmes by his side. But since Katie filed for divorce out of nowhere last week, he was forced to make a last-ditch effort to save the relationship, only to be rebuffed. While Holmes, 33, was MIA from Rock of Ages premieres and other events, “he begged her to come to Iceland for one last try at reconciliation,” the insider says. Holmes, motivated by fears of Scientology corrupting their daughter Suri, had been secretly plotting to file for divorce and move into her own NYC apartment. She refused to go, and the pair had a “huge fight,” the source explains. Although Cruise was aware that things were tense and severely estranged with Holmes, “he was confident he could talk her out of it and keep her with him.” Holmes seeks sole legal custody of Suri, 6, and clearly filed in N.Y. State as a means of achieving that goal, as its courts are more likely to award sole custody. There’s a prenup in place, but regarding custody, it looks like a nasty split is on the horizon. Here’s hoping they can work it out quietly and under the radar. In other Cruise news, you can see him in the new Jack Reacher trailer .
