Brian Littrell and AJ McLean preview track on Backstreet Boys cruise. By Jocelyn Vena The New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys Photo: Kevork Djansezian/ Getty Images NKOTBSB fans have a lot to look forward to in 2011. The guys have announced they’ll be hitting the road for a tour , and now comes a little preview of a song the groups recorded together. On Monday (December 20), Perez Hilton posted a video of the Backstreet Boys debuting “Don’t Turn Out the Lights” for fans during their cruise earlier this month. “A song by NKOTBSB,” AJ McLean told the room of screaming fans, with Brian Littrell by his side. “I’m gonna tell you guys, ‘Don’t turn out the lights now.’ Press play.” The up-tempo jam features vocals from McLean, Littrell and Jordan Knight about still being in love with someone. The guys sing, “I know we haven’t been getting along/ I don’t want to say goodbye/ Memories come flooding back/ I love you like that/ We can get it back again/ Don’t turn out the lights now.” After cutting off the song early, McLean explained, “We can’t play the whole thing, just ’cause with the tour coming up. It’s a sample.” Despite pressure from both McLean and Littrell, their lawyer refused to let them play the sample again. An official release date or other information about the track was not available. Back in November, all nine members of NKOTBSB teased a possible collaboration of new material, and not just mash-ups , in an interview they gave shortly after . “It’s tough getting these guys in the studio, these young cats,” Joey McIntyre shared . ” Well, it’s honestly, it is tough to get everybody together. Yes, we have lots of great intentions.” Do you like what you’ve heard of “Don’t Turn Out the Lights”? Give us your review in the comments below! Related Artists Backstreet Boys New Kids on the Block

Eminem Announces Radio Broadcast Of Home And Home Show

The rap superstar’s satellite radio station to air one of his and Jay-Z’s recent Detroit concerts ‘as a special treat’ on New Year’s Eve. By Jayson Rodriguez Eminem and Jay-Z perform in Detroit’s Home and Home concert Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage Eminem has had a big 2010, from being named MTV’s Hottest MC in the Game to scoring a slew of Grammy nominations for his critically revered Recovery . As a result, the iconic rapper announced on Monday (December 20) via his satellite radio station, Shade 45, that he would broadcast one of the Home and Home concerts he and Jay-Z played in Detroit earlier this year. “As a special treat, for the listeners and the fans who missed the ‘Home and Home’ concerts with me and Jay-Z, Shade 45 is gonna air my performance from the Detroit show this New Year’s Eve at 8 p.m.,” Em said. The pair played four shows, two in each artist’s hometown, Detroit and New York . The gigs, which featured a number guest performers, went off without a hitch and were praised by fans and peers alike. Dr. Dre credited the event with inspiring him to finally put the finishing touches on his long-awaited Detox project. “Being on the stage with Eminem and Jay-Z was one of the most incredible feelings I’ve felt in a long time,” Dre said in September. “It inspired me, it made me want to hurry up and get back in the studio and put more effort and more work into my own project.” “If you weren’t there, this is what it sounded like,” Em said, dryly, while joking with Shade 45 general manager Rob “Reef” Tewlow. “It felt great, man,” Eminem added about the experience. “It was crazy. The energy of the crowd. Just me being home, you know? I don’t know, man — it’s a good thing. Blessed.” Do you plan on tuning in to Em’s Home and Home broadcast on New Year’s Eve? Robert Pattinson’s ‘Water For Elephants’ Trailer Arrives

Reese Witherspoon’s circus performer tantalizes RPattz in tragic Depression-era love story. By Eric Ditzian Robert Pattinson in the “Water For Elephants” trailer Photo: FOX We’ve seen Robert Pattinson’s side-buzzed ‘do . We’ve checked out pictures of RPattz and Reese Witherspoon smooching on the set. We’ve heard Witherspoon call her co-star “extraordinarily attractive.” Now we’ve gotten our first official look at the trailer for “Water for Elephants,” Pattinson and Witherspoon’s love story set in a Depression-era circus. The footage buries the lede somewhat: It’s a full 37 seconds before we get our first look at RPattz as Jacob Janowski. But the trailer neatly contextualizes the storyline. The film is told as a flashback, with Jacob’s 90-something-year-old self looking back on the events of his youth. Back then, he found himself in the midst of some unnamed circus-based tragedy. What happened, we don’t know (well, unless we read the book), but we have a feeling this story isn’t going to end well. The trailer waits almost another 20 seconds to introduce us to Witherspoon’s character, Marlena Rosenbluth, an elegant performer with a knack for getting horses to do near-magical feats. Pattinson is immediately intrigued by her, calling her a “beautiful woman [who] deserves a beautiful life.” The only problem is that she’s married to Christoph Waltz’s August Rosenbluth, a dark-minded animal trainer. No matter! Jacob and Marlena fall in love and together begin to look for a way to create a life with each other. But where can they go? As Marlena tells him, in the circus, “I’m a star. Out there, I got nothing.” Directed by Francis Lawrence (“I Am Legend”) and based on the New York Times best-seller, “Water for Elephants” hits theaters on April 15. Sandra Bullock, Oprah Winfrey Among 2011 Oscar Present

Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges also on the newly announced list of celebrities who will hand out trophies at the big event. By Jocelyn Vena Sandra Bullock Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images Sandra Bullock took home a Best Actress trophy at the 2010 Oscars for her acclaimed turn in “The Blind Side,” and now the star will be on hand to present an award at next year’s big event when it takes place on February 27. Oscar nominee Oprah Winfrey and Oscar winners Jeff Bridges, Halle Berry and Marisa Tomei also are part of the list of 2011 Academy Awards presenters that the show’s producers released on Monday. More Oscar presenters are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks, while the nominees will be announced on January 25. Meanwhile, the nominees for the Golden Globes were revealed on Tuesday, with films like “The Social Network” and “Tangled” getting nods. Oscar night will be hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco , with the latter actor also figuring to play an even more prominent part in the ceremony. The 32-year-old is considered a lock to nab a Best Actor nomination for his turn as a trapped hiker in “127 Hours,” the Danny Boyle-directed drama that’s also expected to compete for Best Picture honors. The 28-year-old Hathaway, meanwhile, remains a long shot in the Best Actress category for her role in “Love & Other Drugs,” which received mixed reviews and reeled in just $14 million over the extended Thanksgiving holiday. Hiring Franco and Hathaway as hosts certainly marks a strategic turn by the Academy, which has long been accused of being out of touch with the young pop-culture mainstream. A quick scan of Oscar history shows that, over the last two decades, no previous host has been younger than 40 when emceeing the show. Most recently, 64-year-old Steve Martin and 51-year-old Alec Baldwin assumed co-hosting duties, notching the event’s best ratings in five years. The 83rd Academy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on ABC. Related Photos The Evolution Of: Sandra Bullock

‘Jersey Shore’ Star Ronnie Recalls Losing His Virginity At 17

On Saturday’s ‘When I Was 17,’ everybody’s favorite juicehead remembers his first time. By Mawuse Ziegbe Ronnie Photo: MTV News We’ve seen “Jersey Shore” juicehead Ronnie get into a lot types of scrapes on the boardwalk, but as it turns out, he has always had a penchant for, ahem, outdoor activities. On an all-“Jersey Shore” episode of “When I Was 17,” which also features stories from Ron Ron’s girl Sammi and Staten Island native Vinny, Ronnie remembers the first time he had sex. “When I was 17 I lost my virginity,” Ronnie admits. Ronnie’s friend T.J. adds that the event happened in someone else’s ride, and that that person wasn’t aware of it — until now. “Ronnie lost his virginity in the back seat of my grandmother’s Camry,” T.J. reveals. “The worst part about that is that she still drives it, so I’m probably gonna catch crap for this.” “When you’re young, the place to have sex is in the car,” Ronnie rationalizes. The Bronx native explains the spur-of-the-moment nature of how everything went down. “It just happened randomly,” he says. “[I was] hanging out on the corner with my friend and some girl walks up to him and she’s like, ‘Your friend’s hot. I wanna hook up.’ We went to go find a nice quiet spot … literally down the block.” Although for Ronnie, where the hook-up happened didn’t really matter that much. “I’m about to get laid for the first time. I’m like, I’ll do it on the hood of the car right now, I don’t care,” he says. Even though it was his debut run knockin’ boots, Ron had an audience checking out the moment. “My friends were watching from the car behind me. They were like watching through the window and stuff like that,” he recalls. “We were looking, he had the windows down,” T.J. admits. “It was a pretty wild scene.” Ronnie also discusses his technique for making love in such a tight space. “I just pretty much did the head tuck. You tuck your head in between her head and her shoulders and you just like 1, 2, 3, 4. Like three pumps … and you’re done,” he says. “It’s awesome.” “When I Was 17” — this week featuring Ronnie, Vinny and Sammi — premieres Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT on MTV.
