Bossip And RnB Spotlight Host “Paying It Forward: A Holiday Social” In NYC Earlier this month, BOSSIP teamed up with RnB Spotlight to greet the holiday season by paying it forward to an NYC-area family during a night of music, networking and cheer! The BOSSIP & RnB Spotlight Paying It Forward Holiday Social was held at SOBs Restaurant & Music Lounge in NYC and featured complimentary refreshments courtesy of Hennessy with delicious teriyaki chicken skewers, stuffed mushrooms, smoked salmon bruschetta… …. and mini cupcakes for dessert provided by phenomenal Hell’s Kitchen: Season 13  chef J.R. Robinson along with his staff from the increasingly-popular Kitchen Cray catering company. Several multi-talented R&B new comers hit the stage to perform during the event including powerhouse songstress/all-female band Alisa Joe & Gyrl Problems, rapper BK Bra$co , and special guest group Intro. Towards the end of the evening, we also had the privilege of surprising hard-working single mother of 5, Ms. Charisse Harris of Queens, NY, with our “Pay It Forward” prize…. …before closing out the soiree with Miss Jessie’s grab bag giveaways, which included their widely-popular Curly Pudding & Baby Buttercreme products ,  along with goodies from  Savory NYC , and Urban Ears . Cyrus finally ended her evening by snapping a selfie in which she’s wearing a black mesh top and sticking her tongue out, writing as a caption: “You know the nights been a good one when you stole a shirt from a stripper.” So, really, just your average day in the life of Miley Cyrus.

Interesting… Ray Rice’s Indefinite Suspension Ruling Overturned, Wife Janay Speaks After getting booted from the Baltimore Ravens over laying the smack down on his then-fiancee Janay in a casino elevator, Ray Rice has been reinstated due to the questionable decision-making and rule-rewriting of NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell. Via TMZ : Ray Rice just won a HUGE victory … his indefinite suspension has been overturned. Short story … a just ruled NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell abused his authority when he changed Rice’s discipline from a 2-game suspension to an indefinite one. The judge ruled Rice had told the truth when he was initially interviewed by Goodell and company and the Commish had no right to alter the punishment after TMZ posted the elevator video. It could be something of a hollow victory … Rice is now a man without a team, and his prospects of new NFL employment is iffy at best. In decision, U.S. District Judge Barbara S. Jones explained … “Rice did not mislead the Commissioner at the June 16th meeting, and therefore, that the imposition of a second suspension based on the same incident and the same known facts about the incident, was arbitrary.” “The Commissioner needed to be fair and consistent in his imposition of discipline. Moreover, any failure on the part of the League to understand the level of violence was not due to Rice’s description of the event but to the inadequacy of words to convey the seriousness of domestic violence. That the League did not realize the severity of the conduct without a visual record also speaks to their admitted failure in the past to sanction this type of conduct more severely.” Rice issued a statement saying he’s thankful. Kendra Wilkinson’s brother Colin and mom Patti are venting their frustrations on Facebook over her suddenly renewed bond with her long estranged father. Both imply that Eric Wilkinson, who we saw reunite with his daughter on Kendra on Top Season 3 Episode 12 this weekend, if after Kendra’s money. Which poses a few questions / points … How much money does Kendra Wilkinson actually have? Eric seems to be doing pretty darn well in Costa Rica. What is Patti Wilkinson’s motivation in all of this? It makes you wonder. That’s all we’re saying. In any case, apparently the events of this summer didn’t sit well with Patti and Eric Wilkinson, who writes, “Who would consider a man that left them with nothing.” “Never attempted to be involved in your life and never helped at all.” Patti went off on Facebook right after the Costa Rica reunion, as seen on Kendra on Top Season 3 Episode 13 , and it looks like tensions are still high. The Hollywood Film Awards were held last night, and if you’ve never heard of the event, don’t worry – neither has anyone else. It was the first time the awards were televised. A-listers from Ben Affleck to producer James L. Brooks publicly dismissed the HFAs as a joke. But the best indicator of just how seriously Hollywood takes the Hollywood Film Awards was Johnny Depp’s BAC, which apparently peaked right around the time he took the stage: Johnny Depp: Hollywood Film Awards Speech Yes, it seems Depp employed the Captain Jack Sparrow method for coping with pre-show jitters and downed a barrel of rum backstage. Hey, Johnny might be in he’s 50s, but he’s engaged to Amber Heard , who’s only 28. Maybe he figures if she’s not gonna take full advantage of her youth, then he’ll party hard enough for both of them. The sight of Depp slurring and stumbling his way through what should have been a 30 second speech makes us nostalgic for the days of his booze-and-coke-fueled relationship with Kate Moss . Ah, memories. In case you can’t tell, Johnny is presenting an award to Shep Gordon – subject of the new documentary Supermensch – because apparently the HFAs are the kind of show that honors people for being the subject of a documentary. (And for showing up.) Sounds like the kind of night that requires a drink or 12 in order to make it tolerable. Hunter S. Ariana Grande Skips NYC Charity Event Due to Fear of Ebola

Apparently Kim Kardashian is not the only celebrity afraid of Ebola . According to The New York Daily News, Ariana Grande skipped a scheduled appearance at a charity in New York City this week because she was petrified of contracting Ebola. Grande had been booked to sing for the nonprofit charity Pencils of Promise at its annual gala Wednesday night; all proceeds at the event were bookmarked for education for kids in developing countries. “Everybody got there and was waiting for her to arrive and she was also supposed to be a surprise musical guest,” a guest tells the newspaper. “No one was told she wasn’t coming… when I overheard organizers say she’s not coming, she doesn’t want to come. She’s afraid of flying because of Ebola.” Organizers confirmed that the young pop star missed the event due to “a scheduling conflict.” Grande’s cancellation came in the wake of an Ebola scare in Manhattan after Dr. Craig Spencer contracted the disease in West Africa. He then returned to The Big Apple and rode the subway, walked The High Line, went to a Brooklyn bowling alley and took an Uber from Williamsburg to Harlem. Spencer works for Doctors Without Borders and had been treating Ebola patients Guinea before returning to New York on October 17.
