A fully clothed Prince Harry surfaced for the first time since his Las Vegas shenanigans went public and viral, stepping out for the WellChild Awards. On September 3, two weeks after his boozy, naked makeout session with Carrie Reichert and possible others in Sin City, Harry was seen in London. Wearing a navy blue suit and a red tie, the smiling Brit, who is a Patron of WellChild, greeted officers on his way to the InterContinental Hotel. The event is held annually to honors the doctors and nurses who care for young people. Harry is an annual attendee, and vowed to attend despite the scandal. There are rumors of a nude video, as well as cocaine use and hookers being present that night in the VIP suite, but so far, none of that has been proven. Just some mildly embarrassing, but generally harmless shots of Harry in the buff. Harry has yet to make a comment about his wild weekend, and may not do so; Prince Charles , his father, reportedly told him an apology isn’t necessary. Since the Prince Harry naked photos surfaced a week and a half ago, he’s been laying very low, but is determined to honor commitments such as today’s. Prince Harry :
More super shady isht going down in Tampa SMH ! Mitt Romney held a “secret squirrel meeting” to thank the big ballers who are bankrolling his campaign: Gov. Mitt Romney’s campaign toasted its top donors Wednesday aboard a 150-foot yacht flying the flag of the Cayman Islands. The floating party, hosted by a Florida developer on his yacht “Cracker Bay,” was one of a dozen exclusive events meant to nurture those who have raised more than $1 million for Romney’s bid. “I think it’s ironic they do this aboard a yacht that doesn’t even pay its taxes,” said a woman who lives aboard a much smaller boat moored at the St. Petersburg Municipal Marina. Romney’s Cayman-based investments have come under fire during the campaign. The event, attended by no more than 50 people, along with Romney relatives, including older brother Scott, appeared on no public calendars. ABC News obtained a schedule of the Romney campaign’s “Victory Council” and waited dockside to speak with members. Registered in the Caymans, and flying a version of the Caymans’ “civil ensign” or merchant flag, the Cracker Bay has an impressive art collection and can seat 30 for dinner. The Cracker Bay is owned by Gary Morse, developer of the Villages retirement community. Companies controlled by Morse gave nearly $1 million to the pro-Romney Restore Our Future superPAC. Romney to date has declined to identify the names of his top “bundlers” — those who gather checks from scores of donors on the candidate’s behalf. “He is the first nominee in 12 years to withhold these names,” said Sheila Krumholz, executive director of the Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks political money on the website opensecrets.org. “These are the most important insiders,” she said. “The public needs to know who these people are because thy are the one’s who stand to gain the most from a Romney presidency.” Her group and others have gathered more than 20,000 signatures from people calling on Romney to name his top bundlers. Campaign officials at the event declined comment. Among those attending was Mel Sembler, a former top supporter of President George W. Bush and Charlie Moncrief, an oil executive from Texas, and his wife Kit. Other guests covered up their nametags as they exited for waiting busses and SUVs to take them to their next event. Kit Moncrief said she and her husband had pledged to raise $1 million for Romney. When asked about the fundraising, she said: “We don’t like it either, but it’s the system,” she said. Romney’s donors and guestlist might be a “secret” but we’ll tell you what’s not. The people who are paying his way to the White House want him there to keep their money in their pockets and to keep getting richer. Romney has no interest in protecting the average American’s economic livelihood, he only cares about the people like him, who hide their money away and let poor people pay higher taxes than them. SMH. Shame on this muhfugga. Source
Women In New York Protest For The Right To Drop Their Tops If Rick Ross can flaunt his triple Ds, women should be able to also. Well, at least that’s what this group of New Yorkers think… Some two dozen topless women protested in a New York City park on a hot, sweaty Sunday as part of what they called “National Go-Shirtless Day” to draw attention to inequality in shirtless rights between men and women. There were shirtless men in the park, too, but nobody paid them much attention, a disparity, organizers said, that demonstrated the need for the event. “We say there is nothing wrong with the female nip,” Karen Heaven, an organizer of the event, told the crowd that quickly formed around her in Manhattan’s Bryant Park. She was wearing white pants and not much else besides a purse over her shoulder. “My dog has six, I have two, but I can be put in jail for showing my nips. It’s 2012 — what are we thinking?” It is legal for women to go shirtless in public in New York City but laws vary widely across the United States. Heaven and her colleagues say discrimination is unconstitutional and they want full equality. Similar protests were scheduled in about 30 U.S. cities and 10 around the world, organizers said. Several women waved signs saying: “Equal Shirtless Rights For All.” We bet this was a sight to see on a Sunday afternoon. Do you think women should have the right to bare their bossoms? Taylor Swift is officially a wedding crasher! Taylor Swift Banned From Kennedy Wedding But Attended Anyway Pop-princess Taylor Swift may have just tainted her goody-two-shoes image by defying the orders of her boyfriend’s family member who asked her not to attend a family wedding. Sounds like nothing, right? Well it wouldn’t be, accept that Taylor’s new cutty buddy is Conor Kennedy…..and yes, he is one of THOSE Kennedys. Many have been loathe to believe that Taylor Swift, the country-pop star forever known as a mic-jacking victim, was capable of crashing a Kennedy family wedding, but Kathie Lee Gifford may have just set the record straight. On the “Today” show Thursday, Kathie Lee explained that she knew Swift did it, regardless of what her publicist has said, because she was in attendance. (The bride, Kyle Kennedy, is Kathie Lee’s granddaughter by marriage.) The event in question actually took place last weekend, when Kyle tied the knot in Boston. Swift, who’s been spotted with boyfriend Conor Kennedy visiting his mother’s grave and is rumored to have purchased (or perhaps was just renting, depending on the report you’re reading) a home near the family, was supposedly asked not to attend that weekend’s event. The Boston Herald quoted the bride’s mother, Victoria Gifford Kennedy, who is the daughter of Kathie Lee’s husband Frank Gifford, as saying that she asked Conor and Taylor not to come via text, but they showed up anyway. When she saw them, “I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave,” Victoria told the Boston Herald Wednesday. “It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me.” Maybe Yeezy’s ratchet run-up on Taylor a couple years ago brought out the thug misses in her…don’t let that happy face fool you. This week’s DVD releases encompass everything from the sublime — Richard Linklater’s Bernie , one of the best films of the year so far (Millennium Entertainment; $29.99 Blu-Ray, $28.99 DVD) — to the ridiculous — the DVD debut of the 1980s T&A epic Joysticks (Scorpion Releasing; $19.95 DVD). For my tastes, however, the highlights include a subtle but powerful British romance along with some animated Disney faves that are available for the first time on Blu-ray. HIGH: Weekend (The Criterion Collection; Blu-ray $39.95; DVD $29.95) Who’s Responsible: Written and directed by Andrew Haigh; starring Tom Cullen and Chris New. What It’s All About: Soft-spoken lifeguard Russell (Cullen) and cynical artist Glen (New) hook up in a British gay bar, but what begins as a one-night stand unfolds over the course of the titular time span into something else entirely. As they spend time together, the two open up about their lives, let down their defenses and appear to be on the brink of falling in love. There’s just one problem: Glen is about to go to the United States for a two-year arts program. Why It’s Schmancy: Following its debut at South by Southwest in 2011, Weekend felt like a revelation, not only to gay audiences, who are always starving for fresh and intelligent — and sexy and romantic — examinations of their lives, but also to mainstream critics. The latter group recognized that, with only one previous feature to his credit, Haigh had turned out a poignant tale of love and missed opportunity that can stand alongside David Lean’s Brief Encounter and Linklater’s Before Sunrise and Before Sunset . Why You Should Buy It: Although there’s no commentary track, this release includes several illuminating documentaries, including one where Haigh explains the mechanics of the sex scenes. In another, scenes that the actors used to audition for their roles are compared to corresponding scenes in the the finished movie. There’s also a video essay on artists Quinnford + Scout, who shot stills and home movie footage on the set. Two of Haigh’s short films, Cahuenga Blvd. — which has some thematic parallels with Weekend — and Five Miles Out (starring Dakota Blue Richards of The Golden Compass ) are also included. Finally, there’s a fine Dennis Lim essay that contextualizes Weekend in contemporary queer cinema. LOW: The Rescuers: 35 th Anniversary Edition/The Rescuers Down Under (Walt Disney Home Entertainment; $39.99 Blu-Ray, $29.99 DVD) Who’s Responsible: Directed by John Lounsbery, Wolfgang Reitherman and Art Stevens ( Rescuers) ; Hendel Butoy and Mike Gabriel (Down Under). Both films star Bob Newhart and Eva Gabor. What It’s All About: A mouse organization known as the Rescue Aid Society operates alongside the United Nations to help abduction victims around the world. The glamorous Hungarian agent Miss Bianca (Gabor) enlists janitor Bernard (Newhart) to help her on her missions: In the 1977 original, they track down a young girl held captive in the Louisiana bayous by the treasure-seeking Madame Medusa (Geraldine Page). For the 1990 sequel, they head to the Australian outback to save a boy in the clutches of a vicious poacher (George C. Scott). Why It’s Fun: Based on the novels by Margery Sharp, both of these movies are cracking adventures for kids that possess enough sly wit to keep adults entertained as well. The original Rescuers was one of the few entertaining cartoon features to emerge from Disney’s bleak period between the death of Uncle Walt in 1966 and the resurrection of the studio’s legendary animation department with 1989’s The Little Mermaid . Also, as any fan of Green Acres knows, Gabor works best with a slow-burn straight man. Lucky for her — and us &mdash: Newhart ranks among the greatest comic foils. And speaking of Green Acres, character actor Pat Buttram, who played Mr. Haney on the comedy series, loans his distinctive voice to the first Rescuers . Why You Need to Buy It (Again): This release marks the Blu-Ray debut for both features, and both the Blu-Ray and DVD editions include a making-of for Down Under , an animated short ( Three Blind Musketeers ), a Disney True-Life Adventure ( Water Birds ), and a sing-along for the first film’s theme song, “Someone’s Waiting for You.” The Blu-Ray also includes a deleted tune, “Peoplitis.” Alonso Duralde has written about film for The Wrap , Salon and MSNBC.com. Don’t make Breezy angry, you wouldn’t like him when he’s angry… Chris Brown Doesn’t Want To Hear Rihanna Talk About Their Fight Anymore According to RadarOnline: Chris Brown is baffled by Rihanna’s desire to keep talking about the brutal assault on the eve of the Grammys three years ago, that led to Brown pleading guilty to a felony battery charge, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting. “Chris is just confused about Rihanna’s decision to bring up the past again and again — this time in an interview with Oprah,” a source tells Radar. “Rihanna has previously given wide ranging interviews about the beating to Diane Sawyer and several print magazines. Chris just doesn’t think it’s productive or relevant to rehash the events since essentially nothing new is being revealed in the interview Rihanna has done with Oprah. Chris doesn’t begrudge Rihanna at all for talking about it but he thinks that in order for them to both move forward and not be defined by that one night, it would be better to stop bringing it up.” As previously reported, Rihanna admits in her upcoming interview on Oprah’s Next Chapter that she felt “protective” over Brown and was more concerned with his well-being than her own in the wake of the 2009 incident. “It was embarrassing, it was humiliating,” the sobbing Umbrella singer told Oprah about the fallout. “I lost my best friend — everything I knew switched — switched in a night and I couldn’t control that … it’s not easy for me to interpret — it’s not easy to interpret on camera with the world watching.” “Rihanna and Chris have spoken since she did her interview with Oprah,” the insider reveals. “They have a very complicated and intense relationship even though Chris has a girlfriend. The fact is, Chris and Rihanna just can’t stay away from each other. There is a lot of love there — it’s definitely not a healthy situation for either one of them.” However you feel about Chris Brown, he does have a point. This incident was three years ago and it doesn’t serve anyone to continue to rehash such a traumatic event. So we gotta ask, did Oprah set Rih-Rih up for the okey-doke to get ratings for her struggle network? Should Rihanna quit talking about the incident forever? Images via WENN
