The resignations, first reported by WMUR, come as Bachmann slides in the national polls. The five-person team said they felt Bachmann was not committed to winning the state, according to WMUR. When Bachmann came to the Republican debate at Dartmouth college last week, it was her first trip to the Granite State since June. Staffers said that was the final straw. Team Bachmann did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Her excuse was… The Tea Party favorite and Minnesota congresswoman previously blamed her absence in New Hampshire on the debt-ceiling crisis on Capitol Hill. “You didn’t see me a lot here in New Hampshire, and I’ll tell you why: It’s because my first duty was to go back to Washington, D.C.,” she said last week. Trust us this is as sick and twisted as it sounds… A woman who faked a pregnancy and panicked as her supposed due date grew near attacked a pregnant mother with a baseball bat and cut her full-term fetus from her womb with an Exacto knife, killing the mother and baby, according to court documents filed Monday. Annette Morales-Rodriguez, 33, faces one count each of first-degree intentional homicide while armed and first-degree intentional homicide of an unborn child while armed in the death of Maritza Ramirez-Cruz and the boy she was set to deliver next week. Morales-Rodriguez faces mandatory life in prison if convicted. Pregnant mom, unborn baby killed in ‘fetal abduction’ Morales-Rodriguez made a brief court appearance Monday, standing silent as her bail was set at $1 million. Online court records didn’t list an attorney for her, and the Milwaukee public defender’s office voicemail wouldn’t accept messages Monday afternoon. “I don’t know what she had in her mind,” said Maria Garcia, 44, who lives next to Morales-Rodriguez and described her as her best friend. According to the criminal complaint, Morales-Rodriguez told detectives that her boyfriend wanted a son but she couldn’t get pregnant. She told him she was pregnant anyway, but started to grow desperate as what would be her due date approached. She told investigators she planned for two weeks to find a pregnant woman, take the baby and make it hers, the complaint said. Now if that plan sounds FAWKING ridiculous wait until you read how she actually carried it out…SMH Morales-Rodriguez drove around on Wednesday searching for a pregnant woman, but found none, authorities said. On Thursday she drove around a nonprofit organization that provides Hispanics with health care and found Ramirez-Cruz. The 23-year-old had moved from Puerto Rico to join her childhood sweetheart, Christian Mercado, said Mercado’s father, Carlos Mercado. They already had three children together and Ramirez-Cruz was carrying their fourth. Morales-Rodriguez told detectives she thought about telling her boyfriend the truth, but decided against it and offered Ramirez-Cruz a ride. Telling Ramirez-Cruz she needed to change her shoes, she drove them to her weathered two-story house on Milwaukee’s south side. Ramirez-Cruz went inside to use the bathroom. When she emerged, Morales-Rodriguez was waiting for her with a baseball bat. The complaint said Morales-Rodriguez began to bludgeon her. Ramirez-Cruz fell to the ground. Morales-Rodriguez straddled the younger woman and choked her until she passed out, the complaint said. See, we told you. Al-Awlaki — an American whose fluency in English and technology made him one of the top terrorist recruiters in the world — was killed Friday in Yemen, according to U.S. and Yemeni government officials. The strike also killed Samir Khan, an American of Pakistani origin, and two others who were in the same vehicle as al-Awlaki, said the U.S. official, who was briefed by the CIA. Khan specialized in computer programming for al Qaeda and authored the terror network’s online magazine, Inspire. “I think it was a very good strike. I think it was justified,” Cheney told CNN’s Candy Crowley on “State of the Union.” But “I’m waiting for the administration to go back and correct something they said two years ago when they criticized us for ‘overreacting’ to the events of 9/11.” To further his argument Chaney and his daughter Liz go on to say: The Obama administration has “clearly … moved in the direction of taking robust action when they feel it is justified,” Cheney said. Cheney’s daughter, Liz Cheney, went a step further, saying Obama “in effect said that we had walked away from (America’s) ideals.” “I think he did tremendous damage,” Liz Cheney said. “I think he slandered the nation and I think he owes an apology to the American people.” What say you? According to TMZ reports : Bud Holmes, longtime agent of NFL legend Walter Payton, says his comments in the new book about Payton were taken out of context … and that the man known as Sweetness was not a drug addict. In a soon-to-be published book entitled “Sweetness: The Enigmatic Life of Walter Payton,” author Jeff Pearlman claims sources told him Payton took a cocktail of Tylenol and Vicodin and kept tanks of nitrous oxide in his garage. He also alleged Payton was suicidal. In excerpts that were released this week, Holmes is quoted as saying, “Walter was pounding his body with medication.” But Holmes tells TMZ, “[Payton] was not hooked on drugs. He wasn’t an addict. He didn’t abuse drugs or use illegal drugs.” Holmes insists he never meant to imply that Payton abused pain medication and was simply talking about pills that “were only used to alleviate the aches and pains he got from playing the game we watch on Sundays.” Holmes says he never knew Payton to use nitrous oxide, Vicodin or Ritalin, as the book claims. Holmes says he is considering legal action if, when he reads the full book, he feels he was misquoted. Pearlman had no comment. Is this woman single-handedly bringing down the value of posh Los Angeles homes with her ‘Star Map’ shenanigans??? Her name is Linda Welton, and she was on the corner of Sunset and Carolwood Drive long before Michael Jackson arrived. She remembers well the days when he stood on a balcony of the rented chateau-style mansion and tossed autographed pillows to screaming fans. She remembers that he ordered pizzas for them and that his father, Joe Jackson, would come visiting but wouldn’t be let in. She also remembers the hordes that descended in June 2009, when Jackson died on the eve of his comeback concert tour. …A third-generation purveyor of the dishy tourist maps, Welton has good reason to be skittish. The owners of the mansion, fashion executive Hubert Guez and his wife, Roxanne, have taken her to court. The homeowners filed suit in June, calling Welton’s Star Maps business “a highly visible eyesore” and charging that she is tanking their property value. They are asking a judge for an injunction kicking the Star Maps lady off the corner. A hearing has been set for October 11 before Judge Gerald Rosenberg in Santa Monica, according to the court file. Welton’s family has sold Star Maps from the corner since the 1930s — long before such things as tour buses, paparazzi and TMZ. They survived past attempts to shut them down or make them move. And Welton has long been a Michael Jackson fan — so much so that she traveled the 90 minutes to Santa Barbara a dozen times to attend his 2005 child molestation trial. She celebrated when he was acquitted. Although she may be a nuisance to the neighbors, Melton is not a money-hungry, celeb-stalker out to harrass people. She’s stil a huge fan enraptured with MJ and his music. When speaking about the Jackson’s mansion where she sits selling her ‘Star Maps’ she says: “It came alive in a way no other place came alive through the years of map selling or that kind of thing,” she says. “It’s Tourist Central. Really, nobody lived there except Sean Connery, a while ago.” The fans came because Jackson engaged them, she said. And then there was the live music that poured out of the house every time Jackson practiced in his studio, which was often. “We all heard the music that came out from behind those walls,” Welton said. “So a lot of fans would park their cars here. They were trying to hear the music, but they didn’t really tell a whole lot of people because they didn’t want Michael to stop playing. So we had the time of our lives. This was actually the biggest thrill we’ll ever have. The music was absolutely beautiful.” The bougie a$$ white folks neighbors in the community contend that Melton is nothing but a pain in the cakes. “It is unpleasant and inconvenient to constantly be forced to navigate illegally stopped traffic in front of the plaintiffs’ home and to be daily and frequently forced to view defendant’s business activity,” the lawsuit states. The couple is trying to sell the mansion and, the lawsuit charges, Welton’s presence is hurting their chances. “The property is made unattractive,” the suit charges. “Potential buyers are bothered upon approach by the quite visible and annoying constant illegal stopping and/or parking of cars in front of the home that would otherwise be on a quiet residential street.” Melton say’s her family has been sued several times over the years. However the Supreme Court of California’s 1978 decision that ruled a city ordinance unconstitutional helped them maintain a family business that has prospered for over 40 years. A 64-year-old hiker named Amos Wayne Richards survived 96 hours (that’s four days, people!) trapped in Utah’s Canyonlands National Park with a broken leg and dislocated shoulder. What was he doing out there in the first place? Why, he was inspired by the film 127 Hours starring James Franco! So how did this all happen? It seems like the North Carolina native took the film—based on Aron Ralston’s real-life journey—a little too much to heart and decided to go on the same hiking trip earlier this month through Little Blue John Canyon that Ralston embarked on, according to published reports. Things didn’t go exactly as planned. The 127 Hours super-fan took a ten-foot fall, which broke his leg and dislocated his shoulder. Ironically enough, Richards found himself trapped not far from where Ralston had to cut off his arm with a pocketknife. “It took me about three or four minutes to work my shoulder and get it back in place,” Richards told WBTV in Charlotte. “Once I got it back in place, I stood up and realized my ankle hurt a little bit.” Thankfully, park rangers realized something was wrong when the hiker failed to return to his campsite and searched for Richards. Two days later, they found his car near the Little Blue John trailhead. Once rescued, Richards, who had been slowly dragging himself back the way he had come, was treated for a shattered leg and dehydration and is now recuperating in North Carolina. Sorry chief, but that movie isn’t exactly inspirational, more of a cautionary tale if anything. It isn’t like people rushed to the beaches after JAWS came out…SMH Source
