Philadelphia rapper Freeway is not only a dope emcee, but he’s also a devout Muslim. The former Roc-A-Fella rapper manages to balance his career as a rapper with his faith. “My faith means everything to me. It’s the thing that keeps me going everyday. It’s my core it’s my soul,” Freeway tells CNN in an interview. Freeway also discusses being able to stay credible in hip-hop while not going against his religion. ‘He looks like he’s going to punch a baby,’ the season-six runner-up says on MTV News’ ‘Idol Party Live.’ By Kara Warner, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Blake Lewis on “Idol Party Live” via Skype Photo: MTV News If you’re an “American Idol” fan and haven’t yet tuned in to MTV News’ “Idol Party Live” with our own Jim Cantiello, you are missing out. In addition to the interactive platform that provides can’t-miss post-game analysis, commentary, interviews and conspiracy theories, each installment features a VIP guest like “Jersey Shore” starlet Sammi Sweetheart and “My Life as Liz” leading lady Liz Lee . This week, Cantiello and hilarious guest commentator Michael Buckley were joined (via Skype) by season-six runner-up Blake Lewis, who shared his thoughts on his favorite contestants and his continued love for Jennifer Lopez. First up, Lewis’ rapid-fire thoughts on the season 10 contestants. In the thumbs-up category, Lewis likes Jacob Lusk, Stefano Langone and Casey Abrams, the latter of whom he offered a few words of advice in order to avoid being sent to the bottom three or eliminated too early. “I like Casey, [but] I think he’s been scaring America,” Lewis said. “He looks like he’s going to punch a baby. I want him to smile. … Each week he’s been screaming.” Lewis was equally forthcoming with his opinions on the female contestants, and he was particularly surprised to learn that Haley Reinhart avoided elimination but did admit she has the chops to sing. “I think she’s a great vocalist, but she’s unsure,” he said. Regarding early favorite Pia Toscano, Lewis joined the ranks of many “Idol” watchers with a plea for Toscano to sing something other than a ballad. “I want her to sing something uptempo,” he said. “The producers need to arrange something groovy for her voice.” Speaking of love for the ladies, Lewis didn’t miss an opportunity to praise the judging talents of Lopez, who was one of his celebrity mentors during the season six. “I’ve been praising J.Lo, because she’s just a queen and her comments are right on,” Lewis said, adding that he “fell in love with her” when she made an appearance on the show during Latin Week. “My love is so strong. Dear Bossip, I’m in a bit of a pickle and I’m, not sure where to go with this situation at all. Me and my boyfriend have been together on and off since our early 20′s…….he’ll be 30 this year and I’ll be 28. Anyway in the last 2 years we’ve been together exclusively and officially and so far everything has been good. We know each other like a book and because we have such a lengthy history and we love each other on a deeper level….friends first. Lately him and his boys have been going out and for whatever reason they always end up at the strip club. At first I didn’t sweat it be cause I know full well that that is something that men do with their boys all the time but I feel like it’s getting out of hand! He goes out at least twice a week to the strip club and he comes home reeking of broads and liquor and at first I didn’t care because he would be highly sexual and please me when he got home but I don’t want strippers to be the source of his arousal with me. So, your concerns are valid. Here’s the deal about strip clubs, many men go to them on a regular basis to fill a void that they may be missing at home. So, the best thing to do would be to open very candid lines of communication and explore his thoughts and feelings. Find out if he feels like he’s lacking in certain areas of your relationship and what you could do remedy the situation. This would also create the platform for you to speak your mind also and if you’re lacking fulfillment, that would be the time to let him know so the both of you could work on growing your relationship. You should never underestimate the power of communication in your togetherness, without it, you have nothing! But before you open this door of communication though, Ma, wrap your brain around hearing things you may not want to hear and instead of being on the defense, be ready to maintain a solid, solution-driven frame of thought. From what you’ve written, you seem to be content and comfortable in your coupledom aside from your man’s frequent visits to the booty bars. And if you communicate openly, it shouldn’t be a deal breaker! If you don’t want him in the strip clubs more than a 2-3 times a month, let it be known. If you don’t want him there at all, let it be known! Be honest with yourself first and then extend it to your man. But remember to be ready for his honesty even though you may not like what he has to say. He may just like for you to kick up your adventurism in the bedroom a notch or two and didn’t know how to say it but whatever it is, remember, stay in the lane of finding the solution and come to an agreement! ‘He’s enjoying himself so much,’ judge’s daughter tells MTV News. By Kara Warner Liv Tyler Photo: MTV News One of the unexpected pleasures and surprises during this new season of “American Idol” has undoubtedly been the addition of judge Steven Tyler . Whether waiting for his next endearing words of encouragement or recapping his numerous outlandish and creative expletives , America is having as much fun watching Tyler as he seems to be having himself. And aside from Tyler’s newfound fans, via “Idol,” no one is more thrilled for his resurgence in popularity than his daughter Liv. When MTV News caught up with her while promoting her new film “Super” recently, we asked for her thoughts on her dad’s new gig. “I haven’t been watching every single [episode], which I feel really bad about, but I’ve been watching a lot and I love it,” Tyler revealed. “I feel really proud of him and happy for him.
