As we later learned, Mary Duggar drowned under circumstances that remain mysterious to the public. And that was just the first of many controversies surrounding the death. Despite the fact that Jill Duggar was accused of “cashing in” on Mary’s passing by eulogizing her grandmother in a monetized blog post, she paid tribute yet again today. This time, the mother of two posted a photo from Mary’s funeral along with another loving message of remembrance: “Yesterday was a very hard, yet beautiful day,” Jill captioned the image. “The service was lovely and very honoring to my Grandma and the one she loved more than anyone or anything else, Jesus Christ!” she continued. “So many family members and friends came together and organized, supported and remembered the amazing woman she was!” Jill ended her post on a hopeful note adding: “Then there was a beautiful rainbow … a sign of God’s faithfulness,’ as Grandma would always say!” she wrote. “We’ll see you in heaven, Grandma! Hannah Brown tried to be patient. She tried to remain calm and cool and collected, even in the face of all the pettiness and bitterness on display each week between the man fighting for her ring finger. But she finally lost it on Monday night. The latest installment of this ABC hit took us back to Scotland, where Hannah refused to give Luke Parker a rose after their one-on-one date, Much to the total chagrin of this front-running villain. “I’m shocked, confused,” he said in an on-camera interview, adding in extreme detail: “It never crossed my mind that I’m going to go home. Sorry. It’s a tough pill to swallow right now. I didn’t ever think this was going to happen to me, but here I am. “From the moment I met her, I’ve felt things that I’ve never felt in my whole entire life. Our relationship has been strong and our connection has been strong, and really, I care about her so much. “I don’t want to go home. Hannah was right. I have tried to be, quite frankly, perfect, and now it’s like my eyes have been opened. I need to fight for her because I don’t want to lose her. Nothing’s gonna stop me. “Nothing’s going to clutter or cloud my mind except for pursuing Hannah.” When Luke eventually got back in front of Hannah, he explained that the serious nature of their relationship issues “hasn’t hit me until tonight,” saying to The Bachelorette: “I just want you to know that I am crazy about you and I feel so strongly about you and I genuinely want to marry you. I could care less about anything. Nothing matters to me except you.” Is that sweet? Or are those the words of a stalker? Hannah leaned more toward the former, choosing to keep Luke around until at least the rose ceremony. “I’m pretty aware that every single guy doesn’t like Luke P., but what I did tonight by not giving him a rose but not sending him home was the right decision for me,” Hannah reasoned to the cameras. “And the guys have to trust me and to know that I’m doing the best for my heart, not just for that relationship, but for all my relationships. “Finally, he was at least meeting me where I needed him to. If he continues with small moments where he really did show himself and show true emotion and struggle, then that man will receive a rose every time. “But if by tomorrow he goes right back to the weird, robotic Luke that I have no connection with, then he won’t get a rose.” The other suitors all had serious issues with Hannah not kicking Luke (hard!) to the curb. Garrett asked the former beauty queen about it, specifically about whether Luke stopped trashing his fellow contestants as he vowed he would, and she replied as follows: “I’m aware that there are feelings about him from everyone. And I addressed that. And so he did say Mike’s name, but I do feel like I provoked it a lot in that moment, and I also asked about another situation, and he did say Devin and Dylan. “But I think it was truly having a conversation about something and I was the one that asked.” Despite this reply, Garrett went back to the suitors and everyone continued to slam Luke… which prompted Hannah to emerge and deliver the ultimate Bachelorette rant to each and every guy remaining. After hearing Garrett and Luke continue to argue, Brown downed her champagne and marched right back out to confront everyone. “I’m a grown-ass woman and I can decide if I want to spend my time figuring all this out or if I don’t, but you’re not in my conversations with him, just like he’s not in the conversations with all of you,” Hannah declared. “Please stop pointing fingers at other people and allow me to do that and focus on yourself and what I need from you. “Everybody thinks it just Luke that makes me feel freakin’ psycho and irritated right now. It’s all of you, it’s truly all of you that makes me feel this way.” At the rose ceremony, Luke P. received a rose… because of course he did, right? So did Connor, Tyler C., Dustin, Peter, Dylan and Garrett, therefore sending home Devin, Kevin and Grant. Flying can be a nightmare, and passengers can make that worst. That was one woman’s experience just a few days ago. Just last year, Southwest made an emergency landing due to one creepy dude. This time, their flight attendants were prepared. When a woman was being harassed by an anonymous fellow passenger, they leapt into action. A woman named Kat Pitman took a Southwest Airlines flight from Louisville to Chicago. The 40-year-old frequent flyer was lucky enough to secure an aisle seat. While Flight 1388 was still boarding, she spent time texting her husband on her iPhone. This is when she received an unexpected message — an AirDrop request. For those of you unaware, this is a way of sending things to nearby iPhone users based upon location, even if you do not know them. Unfortunately, this particular AirDrop was not a funny meme or a helpful piece of information. Instead, Kat was on the receiving end of a highly unsolicited, extremely NSFW image. It was porn. Some anonymous stranger, with whom she was trapped in a metal tube, had sent her porn. “It was just very explicit,” she told USA Today. “It just shocked me.” Understand that isn’t being a prude when she says this. This is about consent. There is a considerable difference between personally enjoying naked photos and having them forced upon you by a strange man. The first is the behavior of a normal person. The second is sometimes a prelude to stalking or a physical assault. As you can imagine, Kat immediately turned off AirDrop. However, after a moment, she gave it a second thought, and reactivated the function for a specific reason. She wanted to take a screenshot of the username of the creep who had sent her the unsolicited photo. By this point, the same user had sent her two additional unwanted messages. The user’s name, by the way, has been described as an nsfw twist on the The Lord of the Rings character, Bilbo Baggins. In other words: Dildo Baggins. Dude, you’re not creative. The short flight was still boarding at the time, so Kat took her concerns to a pair of flight attendants. She had mixed feelings about issuing a complaint, but it occurred to her that the offender might even be in her row. We’ve all heard horror stories of women being groped or otherwise harassed on a plane. She was afraid that things might escalate. “I know this sounds crazy …” Kat began. However, Southwest’s flight attendants knocked it out of the park with their response. It sounds like these flight attendants didn’t miss a beat. They listened to Kat’s concerns and one promptly used the intercom to address “Mr. Baggins.” The unidentified man was instructed to stop AirDropping. “There was no question,” Kat recalls. “They weren’t like, ‘What’s AirDrop?’ They just took care of it.” “They continued to check on me during the flight and as I left the flight,” Kat reveals. She gushes: “I just was incredibly impressed.” Southwest spokesman Chriz Mainz confirmed what went down, and issued a statement. “The safety and comfort of all of our customers is our highest concern,” the statement affirms. “And we don’t condone such inappropriate behavior.” “Our crews are equipped to respond quickly and appropriately to address these concerns expressed by our customers,” Mainz notes. He then praises: “which is exactly what they did in this case.” Airlines rarely receive good press these days, for a host of reasons.
