Homeless Miami Zombie Attack Victim Ronald Poppo Is Up And Walking, Talking And Cheering On The Heat [Graphic Photo Inside]

Wow… He lived through that??? Ronald Poppo, the man who was viciously attacked in Miami Memorial weekend is doing much better according to his doctors. Miami Zombie Attack Victim Up Walking And Talking In Hospital But it turns out that in addition to having to survive 50% of his face being chewed away, he also had to recover from a gunshot wound: As if things couldn’t have been worse for the vagrant whose face was chewed off by the horrifying “Miami Zombie,” doctors revealed Tuesday that cops accidentally shot him as they tried to save him. Ronald Poppo, 65, had two holes in his left chest when he was brought bleeding to Jackson Memorial Hospital, doctors said. They were apparently entry and exit wounds. Maniac Rudy Eugene, who was not armed, was on top of Poppo when police opened fire to stop the gruesome attack. A stray bullet hit the victim, too. Poppo is recovering surprisingly well, eating, walking and even cheering on his basketball team, doctors said, calling him “charming.” They released two graphic photos of Poppo, showing him in a hospital gown walking down a hallway with help. His nose and right eye is gone, his left eye is covered in a bandage and his forehead and cheeks are a mass of bloody wounds. The bottom half of his face, from his salt and pepper mustache on down, appears okay. “He’s coping remarkably well,” trauma surgeon Nicholas Namias told reporters. “We have mental health professionals to help him.” Doctors said he remembers the horrifying attack but has displayed a surprisingly upbeat attitude. Asked if he had a message before the news conference, doctors said Poppo replied: “Go Heat!” The Miami Heat play Oklahoma City Tuesday night in the NBA finals. Poppo, who was blinded in the attack, has undergone three surgeries so far – including skin grafts – and will need more. “First he needs to recover from the three surgeries he’s already had,” said plastic surgeon Wrood Kassira. He will remain hospitalized for “weeks at least,” Kassira added. The hospital has started a fund to collect donations for the destitute vagrant’s care. So far they’ve raised $15,000. Doctors said they won’t know whether Poppo can be a candidate for a face transplant – an experimental new procedure being funded by the Defense Department – until his wounds heal. The bizarre attack on Poppo, a harmless homeless alcoholic who started life at Manhattan’s prestigious Stuyvesant High School, captured the sympathy of the world. He was reclining under a shady overpass on Memorial Day weekend when a deranged naked wastrel named Rudy Eugene fell upon him unprovoked, beat him and chewed off more than 50% of his face. Eugene, 31, had shed all his clothes and ripped out pages from the Bible he always carried he walked along the McArthur Causeway joining the city to Miami Beach, CBS reported. Eugene was shot and killed by police when he refused to stop attacking Poppo. An autopsy found no parts of Poppo’s face in Eugene’s stomach – contradicting accounts by appalled witnesses that the attacker was swallowing the pieces of flesh he ripped away with his teeth. The autopsy did not find an explanation for Eugene’s unusual behavior, though more tests are still pending. Poppo’s family in the New York area had long believed him dead. So far, Poppo has not had any visitors, doctors said. That’s really sad that his family hasn’t come to visit him. We think the Miami Heat should head over to the hospital as soon as they have a chance, especially if they win this championship. Well, if curiosity has the best of you, you can check out the photo of what Poppo looks like now below: Source Jackson Memorial Hospital

Gilmore Girls Creator to Alexis Bledel: "Never Put Your Shirt On Again" [PIC]

Mr. Skin was on the edge of his seat when Alexis Bledel ‘s Gilmore Girls practically popped out of her fur coat on Mad Men – and he wasn’t alone. Amy Sherman-Palladino created Gilmore Girls , the wholesome series that made Alexis a star, and although her adulterous Mad Men character is miles away from clean-cut Rory Gilmore, Palladino says she likes the new Alexis: “I bet a lot of [Gilmore fans] were traumatized,” she jokes to TvLine.com . “[But] you have to admit – they were good boobs. And they were real. And very nicely shaped.” “If I had tits like that I would walk around with no shirt on, I’m going to be very honest. So I would say to Alexis, ‘Never put your shirt on again.’ ” We whole-hardedly agree. ‘Avengers’: Blockbuster Gets Bad News For A Change

In this special Movie Awards ‘After Hours’ clip, Clark Gregg goes from smiling to the fetal position. By Ryan J. Downey, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Clark Gregg in “The Avengers” Photo: Marvel/Disney UNIVERSAL CITY, California — “The Avengers” is now the third-highest-grossing movie in the world. Most likely everyone involved with the mammoth Marvel superhero production is feeling pretty good about all of the success, right? Well, in this special Movie Awards “After Hours” clip, our own Josh Horowitz managed to bring actor Clark Gregg down. As if getting offed as Agent Coulson wasn’t bad enough (whether he’ll return as the Vision or in some other incarnation remains to be seen), Gregg was forced to confront a collection of sobering figures Josh delivered that drew a stark contrast with all the good “Avengers” news. Sure, the Avengers” was the fastest movie to ever pass $500 million. Yes, “The Avengers” was loved by more than 90 percent of critics. It’s taken in $1.3 billion around the world. But, as Clark learned during “After Hours,” people in Portugal hate him. No, really, they do. And Uruguay? Sheesh … Whether Gregg will fulfill fan dreams by returning to the franchise as the Vision (or in some other incarnation) remains to be seen, but this “After Hours” clip certainly gave him plenty to contemplate, as you’ll see. You’d be shaken up too if you learned 70 billion people would like to see you dead. Watch as Gregg was reduced to a low whisper, stammering for the right words, a shell of the man who happily smiled at the start and even corrected our “After Hours” host about the opening weekend at first. “Two-hundred-and-seven [million] — just what I heard,” he helpfully admonished. “If we’re doing the numbers, Josh.” If fans want to support their favorite Avengers at Sunday’s 2012 MTV Movie Awards , Captain America and Thor are facing off in the Best Hero category — but they’ve got some stiff competition in the form of Harry Potter, Katniss Everdeen and “21 Jump Street” cop Jenko. Does ‘Twilight’ Have A Lip-Lock On The Movie Awards?

We’ll see if RPattz and KStew nab their fourth prize over ‘The Vow,’ ‘Potter,’ ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love’ and ‘Hunger Games’ on Sunday. By Kara Warner Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit Entertainment This year’s Best Kiss nominees are as diverse as they are titillating. Whether the smooch’s setting was rain-soaked, in a cave, seven years in the making or post-marriage, the nominees for this consistently popular 2012 MTV Movie Awards category all deserve credit for their wonderfully cinematic tongue tangos. Here’s a look at this year’s very competitive category: Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, “Crazy, Stupid, Love” Much ado has been made over the all-around swoonworthy-ness of Ryan Gosling and the all-around likeability of Emma Stone. Putting them together in a romantic comedy where their first kiss involves an assertive, rain-soaked Emma Stone getting exactly what she wants made for one of the year’s steamiest onscreen kisses. Not to mention Gosling’s adept assist in the scene: He is a Best Kiss winner after all ( for “The Notebook” ) and responsible for one of the best acceptance “speeches” in MTV Movie Awards history. Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” Oh, young love. So angsty and confusing and frustrating and, in the case of “Harry Potter” characters Hermione (Watson) and Ron (Grint), too many years in the making. Though the big moment in the movie was different from how things went down in J.K. Rowling’s beloved novels, you can still hear the collective sighs and squeals over their very long-awaited first lip-lock in the blockbuster franchise’s eighth and final film, “Deathly Hallows, Part 2.” Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, “The Hunger Games” Known affectionately to “Hunger Games” fans as the “cave scene,” Katniss (Lawrence) and Peeta (Hutcherson) find themselves between a literal rock and a hard place when Katniss must venture out to fetch her teammate and would-be love the medicine that will save his life. Katniss’ winning argument for risking her life is sealed with a kiss. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” “Twilight” fans will never tire of seeing kisses shared between their favorite onscreen couple, Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. And luckily for the fans, the three-time winners know how to get the job done, as demonstrated by their passionate, lengthy and very public display of affection after being announced as man and wife in “Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum, “The Vow” What’s more romantic than a devoted and doting husband? One who is charged with the very difficult task of making his wife fall in love with him all over again after she sustains severe memory loss from a traumatic accident. Such is the sweet and sigh-worthy setup for Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams’ heart-melting second first kiss in the romantic drama “The Vow.” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now! Colbie Caillat Swarmed By Bugs, Runs For Cover During Live Performance

Colbie Caillat, best known for her hit single “Bubbly,” was performing that very song in Pittsburgh this week when she asked the crowd to join in. They obliged. A crowd of insects took a strong interest in her, as well. Around the halfway point (2:00 below), bugs swarmed Caillat to the point where they interrupted the song, forcing the beautiful singer to run for cover. Gamely, she returned and had the crowd help her finish the tune: Colbie Caillat – Bubbly (Live, With Bug Attack) “My goodness. I am traumatized from the bazillion bugs that were literally raining on me from the sky while singing on stage,” she wrote afterward. Caillat, who’s touring with Gavin DeGraw, may be a girly girl, but she’s a good sport. One who will advocate for indoor venues from now on.

Doctors Declare Afghan Woman Whose Husband Chopped Off Her Nose And Ears “Too Unstable” For Reconstructive Surgery

An Afghan woman who once graced the cover of TIME Magazine after being mutilated for trying to flee her Taliban husband is still struggling with her new life. Via RadarOnline reports : An Afghan woman who became the face of Taliban brutality after her husband and in-laws hacked off her nose and ears has not had a Hollywood happy ending despite the global spotlight on her plight. Aesha was catapulted to infamy when she appeared on the August 2010 cover of Time magazine unashamed of the butchered face that she received as punishment for trying to run away from an abusive marriage in the war-torn country. After she hit newsstands all over the country, the teenager was thrust into the celebrity lifestyle hobnobbing with movie stars and politicians, and even being offered free reconstructive surgery by the Grossman Burn Foundation, a humanitarian medical group in the Los Angeles area, reported CNN.com. Despite the glitz and glamour, it soon became obvious that there were deep emotional scars that went beyond even the atrocious physical torture she endured and the pretty brunette began fighting with the families who took her in, had fits where she shook, went stiff and her eyes rolled back in her head, or bit herself, screamed and pulled out her hair. Doctors decided she was too unstable to undergo surgery and Aesha (which is also spelled Aisha) was ultimately hospitalized and the charity Women for Afghan Women had to step in to care for her. Since becoming the poster child for 15 million Afghan women, Aesha was suddenly kept out of the public eye and even Oprah’s attempts at an interview were rejected. “We’re hoping she’ll spread her wings,” said Esther Hyneman, 73, a retired professor of women’s and multicultural studies and longtime Women for Afghan Women volunteer who became Aesha’s unofficial guardian. “But when you’re 20 years old, from a village in Taliban-controlled southern Afghanistan where you’ve never been to school and can’t read or write in your own language, and you’ve never heard of France or Italy or Canada, and you don’t speak the language in the country you’re living in, and you’ve been through hell – it’s a little hard to spread your wings, even if you want to do it.” While living in a small ground-floor apartment in New York, Aesha was being schooled by her patient mentor, Ariela Perlman, who normally works with emotionally disturbed fifth-graders, and was teaching the girl who is even illiterate in her native language of Pashto, to read and write in English. Born in a village in southern Afghanistan, Aesha didn’t even know the days of the week, not to litter, or how to board a subway. “She loves physical affection, which is really sweet — except when you’re trying to type, and you have a 20-year-old sitting in your lap,” Kelly Becker-Smith, who works with volunteers at the Women for Afghan Women office told CNN, while another teacher had pulled muscles in her back and legs pushing her “giant little girl” on a swing. It is the kind of loving attention that was severely lacking in her previous life where she was offered up for marriage to a Taliban family to even out a family score. After being beaten and forced to sleep with the animals, she ran away but was hunted down, tossed in prison and a court ruled that she should be mutilated for dishonoring her husband’s family. Trying to fit in to life in the Big Apple was a major challenge for Aesha due to erratic mood swings and strange unsocial habits that caused a string of roommates to flee. While the noise of an ice cream van would cause her to run in fear, she watches online videos of Taliban members cursing, shooting and beating women when she’s feeling low. Desperately missing being part of a family, Aesha, now 22, abruptly left New York and is currently living with Mati Arsala and Jamila Rasouli-Arsala in Frederick, Maryland. “She’s a trauma patient,” Jamila said. “If you want to help, you have to have a very thick skin… There’s no room in her heart for appreciation.” The couple has vowed to keep her with them until the overgrown child can stand up on her own. Trauma is a muhfugga! We’re keeping Aesha in our prayers. Hopefully she can heal from the abuse someday and get the surgery. It’s interesting because in the CNN article they show her prosthetic nose which she only wore briefly. Do you think she will ever get the surgery? It seems like she’s comfortable with her appearance the way it is. More photos and info at CNN.com

‘Skyfall’ Teaser Trailer: Five Key James Bond Scenes

Daniel Craig experiences trauma and Judi Dench’s past comes back to haunt her in the first trailer for the new James Bond film. By Josh Wigler Daniel Craig in “Skyfall” “Skyfall” might be “done” for James Bond, but it’s only just beginning for Agent 007’s most devoted fans. The world got its first look at the 23rd Bond flick Monday (May 21) with the release of the first official “Skyfall” teaser trailer , putting Daniel Craig back into the British spy’s iconic tuxedo for the first time since 2008’s “Quantum of Solace.” Even with this early sneak peek (the film doesn’t land in theaters until November 9), the exact who’s, what’s and why’s surrounding “Skyfall” remain shrouded in mystery. The little we do know is hardly elaborated upon in the trailer: Dame Judi Dench’s M has dark secrets in her past, secrets that are coming back to haunt her and her fellow agents, and it’s up to Bond to put a stop to the madness. Somehow, Javier Bardem is involved to terrorize our hero, reliably silly bad-guy haircut firmly along for the ride, but we don’t see Bardem and his bleach-blonde ‘do in the teaser, at least not up close and personal. Still, even a teaser as secretive as this one isn’t without its share of decodable mysteries. Keep reading for five key scenes from the “Skyfall” teaser. ‘Done’ Bond’s interrogation at the outset of the trailer does more than inform the viewer that our favorite super-spy has Agent Provocateur lingerie on the mind. When the game of free-word association arrives at the term “skyfall,” Bond tenses up, thinking back on a dark memory that involves him entering a room, gun drawn, with a dead body already slumped in a chair. (It’s a split-second scene, viewable around the 29-second mark.) Though the “skyfall” referred to in the title and the interrogation remains a mystery, it’s clearly linked to a painful memory that Bond would rather forget … and given the horrors he’s seen in his kill-happy career, the events of the Skyfall mission must be truly traumatic. Killer Guilt Agent 007 isn’t the only one looking back in anger. As has been known for some time, the normally secretive M’s history plays a pivotal role in the story of “Skyfall,” and we get our first hints of that in two key shots in the new trailer. The most obvious one comes later; M and Bond wordlessly stare off at a bleak, hilly landscape, marking a rare occasion where the two agents are out on the field together. But there’s another, easier-to-miss moment involving M at the teaser’s 45-second mark. It’s M, not Bond, who stands silently in a room filled with caskets, the U.K. flag draped over each and every one. Rumors abound that “Skyfall” will see a tragic end for Dench’s M — perhaps her somber appearance in this scene is a taste of the tragedy to come. A Tale of Two Bond Girls It wouldn’t be a Bond movie without a Bond girl, and “Skyfall” has two, both of whom can be briefly glimpsed in the teaser. At the 42-second mark is French actress B
