Taylor Swift’s "Shake It Off" Set to ’80s Aerobics Video Wins Internet Forever

Taylor Swift’s smash single “Shake It Off” has become so ubiquitous since its release earlier this fall that it somehow even managed to travel through time. How else do you explain her album sales, which look like totals from a bygone era, or the fact that an ’80s aerobics routine managed to use the hit track? Or so you might think, thanks to YouTube user Thomas Jung, who combined this ’80s video with the song, making for just about the best video maybe ever: Taylor Swift Presents 1989 Aerobics Championship – Shake It Off The choreography, originally performed at the 1988 Crystal Light National Aerobic Championship hosted by Alan Thicke, syncs perfectly to “Shake It Off.” We’re not sure what’s funnier, how well Swift’s song fits the video or the fact that this was, at one point, an actual thing that existed somewhere in civilization. It’s almost as if Swift (who was born in 1989 and whose already wildly successful album 1989 was released last week) wrote the tune while watching this clip. We can certainly see her dancing like this in the studio or at home. Swift herself caught wind of the video Friday, tweeting a link and the caption: “Sneak peak at the official ‘Shake It Off’ choreography for the 1989 World Tour.” Ha! Girls Season 4 Trailer: Rich Hipsters in Iowa!

With all of the recent controversy surrounding Lena Dunham’s comments about her sister , it’s easy to forget that she’s still the star, head writer and executive producer of a moderately popular HBO series. But she is, and the show that’s almost as divisive as its showrunner is soon to return for a new season of white people struggling to get by in spite of their dwindling trust funds. Girls Season 4 Trailer Yes, the first trailer for season 4 of Girls hit YouTube today, and dare we say, it actually looks…funny? Despite the show relocating much of its main action to Iowa (where Hannah’s been accepted to the country’s most prestigious creative writing MFA program), it ironically looks like Girls is returning to its roots. What started out as a series about the awkward misadventures of a a neurotic (if somewhat pretentious) young woman became – by season 3 – a sort of wish-fulfillment lifestyle porn fantasy about how insanely easy it is to make it as a young writer in New York. Even some of the critics who still worship at the Altar of Dunham had to admit that Girls Season 3 was pretty dire. Obviously, all we’ve seen so far of season four is the 90 second montage above, and the show doesn’t return until January, but we’re already cautiously optimistic.  It looks as though Dunham may have actually managed to set aside her massive success in order to rediscover her ability to create characters and situations that us common folk can actually relate to. (C’mon, who hasn’t pulled the fake shower move to drown out some unfortunate sounds?) True Detective Season 2: New Roles Cast?

Vince Vaughn is in as a career criminal trying to go legitimate. Colin Farrell is on board as a detective with a shady past. Taylor Kitsch has confirmed that’ll be playing some role and rumors continue to circulate that Rachel McAdams will join the cast as a colleague of Farrell’s. So, who else may be taking part in  True Detective Season 2 ? According to Deadline, four new names/faces have surfaced as strong contenders for the next edition of this critically-acclaimed drama. The new report states that Michael Irby will play Elvis , McAdams’ character’s partner. Leven Rambin will play a woman with a checkered history. Kelly Reilly will play “the self-possessed Morgan,” whatever that means. And Abigail Spencer will play the survivor of a sexual assault. HBO is yet to confirm any of these names. The network, in fact, has only announced that Vaughn and Farrell will be anchoring the True Detective Season 2 cast. But filming will soon be underway, with new episodes scheduled to premiere in the spring of 2015. So it’s safe to assume the network has to make some follow-up announcements one of these days. The Good Wife Shocker: Who’s Leaving?

For the second season in a row, The Good Wife is set to lose another main cast member. Last year, it was Josh Charles, who chose to leave the hit CBS series and who was written out when his character of Will Gardner was gunned down in a courtroom. Now, it’s Archie Panjabi. The Emmy winner, whose contract runs out at the end of The Good Wife Season 6 , will depart the drama in May in order anchor a pilot for 20th Century Fox Television that will film some time in the spring. The Good Wife showrunners Robert and Michelle King confirmed Panjabi’s departure in a joint statement. It reads: “Archie is an amazing actress who helped build Kalinda from the ground up as an enigmatic, powerful and sexy character. It’s been a pleasure to write for her, and we’ll be sad to see her go; but we still have her for the rest of season six, so let’s not exhaust our goodbyes yet. We look forward to meeting all the wonderful new characters Archie brings to the screen. “But either way, we’re keeping the boots.” Panjabi has starred as investigator Kalinda Sharma since The Good Wife pilot. Her role, however, has diminished over the course of the series, especially once her friendship with Alicia was permanently altered by the bombshell that Kalinda slept with Peter many years ago. In fact, Panjabi has not shared a scene with Julianna Margulies since Season 4. Still, she’ll be missed. Tyler Jacob Moore as Hans on Once Upon a Time: First Look!

Judging by the colossal ratings for Once Upon a Time’s season premiere last night, audiences are being sucked into the world of Disney’s Frozen once again. Ever since it was announced back in spring that the show would feature storylines based on the animated musical smash, fan interest in OUAT has been at an all-time high. The casting of Georgiana Haig as Queen Elsa  in June generated controversy. (Most fans approved, but some had been pushing for Elsa lookalike and Internet celeb Anna Faith Carlson ). But we doubt producers’ decision to cast Tyler Jacob Moore’s as Hans will provoke will be the subject of much debate. Yes, People magazine provided us with our first look at Moore as Hans , and this dude certainly has the right look. It remains to be seen whether Moore will be able to capture Hans’ mix of sleazy charm and barely-contained rage, but we can’t imagine another actor looking more perfectly like the Prince of the Southern Isles made flesh and blood. In addition to the Ice Queen and Hans, the show’s casting directors perfectly nailed the Elsa’s sister, as well her parents King Agdar and Queen Idun – all of whom look pretty much exactly as they did on the big screen. Hopefully, the show’s writers will be able to rise to the occasion as well. Those Frozen fans can be tough to please. Z Nation Season 1 Episode 3 Recap: No Brotherly Love Up in Here

Friday night on Z Nation Season 1 Episode 3, survivors encountered a group of psycho outlaws as they made their way through the City of Brotherly Love. Needless to say, this stop in Philadelphia was one they would soon regret. Watch Z Nation Season 1 Episode 3 Online While Cassandra’s old group wants her back in the fold, she’s ditched them. Tobias has lost his mind, and the Black Summer appears to be to blame. He states with enthusiasm that “in time’s like these it’s eat or be eaten.” Yes, Cassandra and her counterparts are actually a bunch of cannibals, which made for the biggest takeaway from Z Nation Season 1 Episode 3 . Meanwhile, Addy and Mack are trying to contact Citizen Z in the Arctic, but Addy is soon captured by Tobias’ men and taken away to their camp. Addy ends up in a cave with live humans missing body parts. Normal. Garnett demands that Addy be released, and in return Tobias suggests a trade of Addy in exchange for his Sunshine, which Cassandra agrees to. Cassandra would’ve been left for dead by the men, but the ladies decide to rescue her, and soon enough, Citizen Z comes in and saves the day. Using an AM frequency, the heroes are able to blast music that cause the Z’s to follow their truck, and not a moment too soon, considering these events. By the time Garnett breaks through the gates, with zombies chomping at the bit, they overrun the camp, causing Tobias to seek shelter anywhere. He chooses to hide in the cavern that Addy found earlier. Big mistake. The victims there enjoy a nice meal courtesy of him, while Addy and Cassandra are both saved and have lived to fight another day … for now. Want to see all the action? Outlander Season 1 Episode 8 Recap: Happily Never After?

Outlander Season 1 Episode 8 served as the Starz show’s midseason finale, and proved that the bliss we saw at the end of last week was too good to last. Claire and Jamie were all over each other in typical newlywed fashion, while in stark contrast, Frank was crushed by despair at the loss of his wife. Also, Outlander Season 1 Episode 8 gave us our first look at life in 1945. There is no sign of Claire. No leads, no sign of a struggle or crime. Frank is incredulous at the notion that his wife may have run off with another. Claire and Jamie’s Christmas plans are cut shot by an attack, though the Scots prevail easily, while Frank nearly kills a man over a false lead. After Jaime and Claire, smitten as they can possibly be, decide to get down and dirty in the woods, they are discovered by a couple of redcoats. One starts ravaging Claire in a disturbing scene, with Jamie watching. That knife training she received after the attack came in handy, though, as she got ahold of it and stabbed the assailant while pressed on top of her. In the chaos, Jamie breaks free and quickly kills their other captor. These events cause Claire to enter a state of shock, and she remembers her old life, before 1700s Scotland, and her promise to return to Frank. Who, in 1945, talks to a woman who suggests to him that Claire may have actually traveled through time. He does not believe this theory, of course. As we blast back to the distant past, Jamie leaves Claire behind to take down some redcoats, and as she walks through the woods, she finds some stones. Not just any stones, the standing stones she has longed for. On the other side of time, he hears her calls to him … until she is taken away by redcoats at that inopportune time, and she is captured, again. Then her captor tries to rape her, again, but Jamie, having stormed the fort, saves the day and kindly (not really) encourages him to back off. What will happen next when the saga continues? We’ll have to wait until 2015 to find out, but fear not: You can watch Outlander online to catch up on all of the episodes so far. We highly recommend it.

Chris Brown Performance Ends in Audience Member Stabbing, No One Surprised

A Chris Brown performance last night ended in someone getting stabbed, and if we ask for a show of hands asking who’s surprised … we don’t expect to see a lot of hands. Law enforcement sources say it’s yet another case of trouble following the R&B singer and his entourage, and that police have been trying to stop this (to no avail). The stabbing took place right after Brown finished his set at a YMCMB Drake-Lil Wayne after-party at Supperclub in Hollywood, according to witnesses and reports. Several people leaving got into a fight and someone got stabbed. The victim, whose identity is not known, was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay. Not unlike when Suge Knight was shot in last month’s possible pre-VMA assassination attempt on Chris Brown , no arrests were made, for a simple reason: No one is coming forward to point any fingers or spill the beans. Police, understandably, are increasingly frustrated by Brown’s entourage, telling TMZ that wherever the singer and his posse go, ” someone ends up bleeding .” 25 Pics of Chris Brown Thuggin’ It! 1. Chris Brown Smoking Weed Chris Brown smoking weed – 3 joints at the same time no less. What a class act as always. “When Brown and his people show, we know what’s going to happen. It’s a headache for us,” one law enforcement team member reportedly said. The LAPD has privately met with club owners around the city, to pressure them into blacklisting Chris and his crew in an attempt to curb the violence preemptively. Perhaps not shockingly, the clubs are still having Chris Brown perform as planned; they make too much coin off the singer, so his peeps are totes welcome. The singer throws around Bloods gang signs and does not keep his affiliation with the street thugs a secret, though he has not been accused of instigating violence. Not directly, anyway. Police believe it “emanates” from Chris and the shady characters who hang around him, and fear this may soon end very badly for someone. But hey … at least he and Drake have quashed the beef. Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn to Star in True Detective Season 2!

It’s an exciting day for fans or eerie crime drama and boozy, philosophical bromances. After months of rumors we’ve finally learned that the second season of HBO’s acclaimed cop anthology True Detective will star Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn in two of the lead roles. If it feels as though time is a flat circle and you’ve heard all this before, well you may have: Farrell was cast way back in June, but kept the role under his hat until yesterday. Naturally, rumors abounded on the web, regardless. Similarly, we reported in August  Vaughn would star in season 2 , but motor-mouth Vince had been uncharacteristically tight-lipped prior to confirming the news today. According to the the network’s description of the new season, Farrell and Vaughn won’t be partnered up on an investigation a la McConaughey and Harrelson, but will instead play a veteran cop and a career criminal, respectively. Also, unlike the first season, the second iteration of TD will reportedly be more of an ensemble drama will one of the lead investigator roles being played by a woman. Sadly, it looks as though the second season will not include any of the hilarious casting combos in the gallery below, nor any  Alexandra Daddario nude scenes . Worse, the series is tentatively scheduled for summer of 2015. Fortunately, you can watch True Detective online at TV Fanatic to hold you over until then.
