In Living Color: Coming Back to Fox in 2012!

The ’90s sure are enjoying quite a rebirth lately. First, Beavis and Butt-Head returned on MTV. Now, it looks like Homey will soon play that again on Fox. Two all-new special episodes of In Living Color, both a half hour in length, will air in spring of 2012 as part of the network’s 25th anniversary celebration. Keenen Ivory Wayans, who created and starred on the sketch comedy show (with pretty much all of his family), will act as host and executive producer. If the specials featuring new cast members are a hit, In Living Color , which ran originally for five seasons and 127 shows, could return full-time in the fall. Aside from the Wayans’, the show introduced the world to Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Ann Inaba and Jim Carrey, featured in this classic below: Jim Carrey Vanilla Ice Parody (In Living Color)

Aisha Tyler to Co-Host The Talk

The Talk will have something to … talk about in the form Aisha Tyler ( Ghost Whisperer , Friends , and currently Archer ) to the panel of the CBS daytime show. Tyler joins Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood. The contracts of Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete were not renewed. She previously guest-hosted on CBS’ answer to The View , which celebrates its one-year anniversary this month, and made her debut today. Can Aisha Tyler jumpstart The Talk? As part of an attempt to revamp the year-old show, CBS has rotated in a string of guest hosts; Kris Jenner did a stint, as did Molly Shannon. Back in 2009, Tyler shot an eponymous talk show pilot for ABC that was described as a hybrid between daytime and late-night talk shows. It didn’t really pan out. Hopefully this will! Andy Rooney Signs Off 60 Minutes

“I’ve done a lot of complaining here, but of all the things I’ve complained about, I can’t complain about my life.” – Andy Rooney in his final essay, My Lucky Life . Sunday, the 92-year-old made his 1,097th and last appearance on 60 Minutes. “I wish I could do this forever,” he said, admitting he’s dreaded his retirement . The long-running CBS news program, which has featured Andy Rooney since its 1978 debut, also conducted a long interview with the writer/commentator. Poignantly, but with his vintage curmudgeonly humor, he closed by thanking his fans. However, “If you do see me in a restaurant, please, just let me eat my dinner.” Watch Andy Rooney’s final 60 Minutes appearance here: Andy Rooney: Final 60 Minutes Segment

Toddlers & Tiaras Mom Defends Child Hooker Outfit: At Least It Isn’t Sports!

Under fire from the PTC, and most rational human beings, Wendy Dickey is speaking out in defense of her child’s promiscuous beauty pageant outfit. Dickey is the mother of Paisley, a three-year old girl who, in a recent Toddlers & Tiaras promo, donned an outfit similar to the one Julia Roberts wore when portraying a hooker in Pretty Woman . But Wendy doesn’t see the problem because “no harm was done to my child,” she tells TMZ , and, come on, the costume was “less revealing than gymnastics wear and swimsuits.” Toddlers & Tiaras Promo In conclusion, Dickey oddly reasons: “I’m raising my child just as well as any mother does… I take my kid to church every week… at least I’m not forcing them into sports and getting my child injured like some parents. “People need to look at their own family and what they’re doing. I don’t know why people are focusing so much on pageant moms when there’s much more harmful things people are letting their children do!” Yeah! Like tennis or tee ball! What do you think of this scandal and the prostitute outfit donned by a toddler?

Andrea Mitchell, NBC Journalist, Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

Andrea Mitchell, NBC’s Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent, revealed today on Andrea Mitchell Reports: she has breast cancer. “Mine was discovered during my annual screening just a short time ago,” the 64-year old said on her show. “Luckily for me, I am one of the fortunate ones; we discovered it in the earliest stage, it hadn’t spread, and I’m already back at work with a terrific prognosis.” Approximately one in eight women in America will be diagnosed with this form of cancer in their lifetime, a fact that has prompted Mitchell to send this message to viewers: “I’m looking at this as another of life’s lessons. For you women out there and the men who love you, screening matters. Do it. This disease can be completely curable if you find it at the right time.” [Photo: WENN.com]

Bert and Ernie: Just Friends!

Is Big Bird a male or a female? That issue is still unresolved. But Sesame Street has finally responded to a different long-running rumor regarding two veteran players today and revealed: Bert and Ernie are just friends. In response to an online petition that urged the show’s creators to marry the supposed couple, producers wrote the following message on Facebook this afternoon: “Bert and Ernie are best friends. They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves. Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics… they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation.” Okay, but why does Bert have one long eyebrow and Ernie possesses none at all? And… seriously, they’re straight? Are you buying this, readers?
