Twitter has become a playground for celebrities to beef and confront one another. The latest men to “go at it” on the social network was Chris Brown and Odd Future’s Tyler The Creator. While Chris may or may not have been subliminally tweeting Tyler saying “All this demonic music is wack as sh*t!” Chris confirmed that he wasn’t referring to Rihanna’s “Man Down.” Tyler responded “ “Why Is Chris Brown Talking So Much Shit About Metallica? Weird , Ni**a Look Like A Box Of Pops.” Spotted @ Rap-Up.com Fans Throw Glass Bottles On Stage At Odd Future [VIDEO] Tyler, The Creator Of Odd Future Debuts “Analog” On BBC [VIDEO]

Bearded rocker plants one on judge Jennifer Lopez on Wednesday’s 21st-century songs episode. By Adam Graham Casey Abrams performs on “American Idol” Wednesday Photo: FOX This season, “American Idol” has sort of become a game of “what will Casey Abrams do next?” And after taking on Nirvana , nearly fainting on live television and dialing himself way back with a hushed take on Nat King Cole’s ‘Nature Boy,” Abrams topped even himself on Wednesday’s (April 20) “Idol” by planting a kiss on Jennifer Lopez’s cheek while finishing off his performance. The smooch came at the close of the bearded rocker’s aggressive rendition of Maroon 5’s “Harder to Breathe,” from the group’s 2002 debut album, Songs About Jane. (Wednesday’s theme was “songs from the 21st century.” ) Abrams, using his intense glare to embody the bitter scorn in frontman Adam Levine’s lyrics, stalked either side of the stage in a stiff, upright manner before approaching the judges’ table at the song’s end. He locked himself on Lopez like a guided missle and leaned in toward her, his head mere inches from that of People magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman . They shared an intimate stare before she broke the glance and turned her head to her right, toward Steven Tyler. Abrams sang the song’s final line directly to her — “is there anyone out there?/ ‘Cause it’s getting harder and harder to breathe — and caught her off-guard by pecking her on the cheek before walking away. Randy Jackson threw up his arms in dismay, Tyler exclaimed, “You did what I’ve been trying to do for two months!” and Lopez giggled like a giddy school girl. The fireworks weren’t over yet. After Lopez and Jackson praised Abrams for his soft lips and his risk-taking, respectively, Tyler dropped what appeared to be an F-bomb, calling Abrams “f—ing good” in his appraisal of the singer. (Censors caught it, though a little lip-reading goes a long way.) The audience erupted, Abrams covered his mouth in surprise and Lopez’s jaw hung agape, while Tyler continued as if nothing had happened. Jackson stood up from his chair as if to signal he was calling for a time-out, and made Tyler aware of his gaffe. “He’s so darn good,” Tyler corrected himself. Host Ryan Seacrest, sporting a faux-Abrams beard on his face, remarked, “The wheels have fallen off this program,” and thanked him for “changing the course of this show.” Backstage after the performance, cameras caught up with Abrams and he recapped what had just happened onstage. “I kissed Jennifer Lopez and I made Steven Tyler swear,” he said. “That”s always a plus.” So now, once again, the question remains: What will Casey Abrams do next? ‘If you are serious about the meeting, I want Randy’s Donuts, swivel chairs and a megaphone,’ Tyler, the Creator tells record exec. By Alvin Blanco Photo: Roger Kisby/ Getty Images Los Angeles’ OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) are one of the most lauded and debated acts in hip-hop today. Being a hot commodity has granted the collective the luxury of having music executives seek out their services, and Odd Future have in turn conceived some odd requests in order to gain their audience. Odd Future is asking record label execs to meet with them to discuss business at the Supreme skate shop in Fairfax, California, according to the New York Post . SRC Records founder Steve Rifkind was able to get them to his office but allegedly only after acquiescing to Odd Future mouthpiece Tyler, the Creator’s demands. “If you are serious about the meeting, I want Randy’s Donuts, swivel chairs and a megaphone,” Tyler reportedly told Rifkind. It was also revealed that Bad Boy Records head honcho Sean “Diddy” Combs was the one who set up the meeting between Justin Bieber and one of his biggest fans, Tyler, the Creator . Although Tyler has signed a one-album deal with XL Recording and MellowHype is having the album BlackendWhite formally released by Fat Possum Records, Odd Future itself is still unsigned. Some of the other major rap industry players trying to earn Odd Future’s services include Interscope/ Geffen/ A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine, who signed Eminem, and Jay-Z, who signed Rihanna to Def Jam while he was the label’s president and whose Roc Nation is currently home to Jay Electronica and Willow Smith. Jay-Z met with Odd Future during the South by Southwest Festival — over tacos — and left quite an impression. “It was hard for me to look at Jay-Z for 10 minutes. Like, real sh–, this is the godfather of music,” MellowHype’s Hodgy Beats told MTV News. “I just shook his hand in his house. Honestly, it made me want to work harder. Jay-Z is amazing.” Related Videos The Wonderful Adventures Of Odd Future At SXSW 2011 Related Artists Odd Future Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All Diddy
Bobby Ray’s track comes in response to Odd Future MC’s ‘Yonkers’ dig. By Jayson Rodriguez B.o.B Photo: Frank Mullen Not everyone is amused by the antics of Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator. B.o.B took aim at the upstart on Friday (March 25) with a fiery dis track titled “No Future,” a response to a line the California rapper issued on his breakout “Yonkers.” “What you think of Hayley Williams?/ F— her, Wolf Haley robbing ’em,” Tyler raps on the song. “I’ll crash that f—ing airplane that that f—-t n—a B.o.B is in/ And stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn esophagus.” The line is characteristic of Tyler and his crew’s shocking rhymes; the collective are, in part, inspired by Eminem and works like his Relapse album with its slew of serial-killer references. The “Airplanes” star, however, isn’t a fan. “If I was you I would be a little more cautious,” Bobby Ray raps on “No Future.” “I’m way too high for you to look at/ The future ain’t looking promising for these rookies/ This is target practice but I don’t even pull the f—ing trigger anymore, ’cause it’s just a waste of bullets/ Come and get this pu—, wipe them off the floor/ I’m guessing they was hoping for some different results/ I’m guessing they was guessing ’cause they wasn’t really sure/ But f— it, I guess I’mma have to let these n—-s know. “Keep f—ing with me, you ain’t gon have no future,” he concludes. Tyler responded via Twitter. Perhaps taking the high road after driving too close to the edge, the 20-year-old wrote that he didn’t think “No Future” was a dis track. He even gave B.o.B props on the rhyme. “Whoa,” he wrote in his first message. “I don’t think the ‘No Future’ song is even a diss. But I’ve never heard him spit like that. Took me by surprise, cus it’s tight.” A second message took a swipe at producer Alex Da Kid over “Airplanes” and “Love the Way You Lie” sounding too similar. From Kanye West to Kim Kardashian to nearly every teenage girl in the world, Bieber has amassed quite a dedicated following. But he seems to have picked a rather odd fan along the way as well. Odd Future’s Tyler, the Creator has Bieber Fever in a big way. In fact, hehas called the teenage Canuck his Idol. In the days leading up to the premiere of Bieber’s 3-D movie, “Never Say Never,” Tyler could be found online tweeting down the days until its release. So of course, when the two finally met Tyler was excited. “I WAS JUST WITH JUSITN F—ING BIEBER. F—,” Tyler tweeted . “HE LIKED YONKERS, F—.” Two photos emerged of the two together, one blurry and the other showing both teen sensations posing side-by-side. When MTV News caught up with Tyler — and the rest of Odd Future — at South by Southwest , he still had a huge smile on his face. “We [were] kicking it with him for like 10, 20 minutes. He’s a chill dude. First thing he was like, ‘Oh, I just finished talking about your video, that sh– was crazy,” Tyler said. “He just started asking me questions about my sh–, and it was kind of weird because I was going to ask him sh–. But he was intrigued enough [about] what we had going on.” He also said he showed the Biebs how to pose for their photo. Initially, Bieber threw up the peace sign, but Tyler convinced him to swag it out another way. Bieber was really chill and Tyler hopes they’ll hang out soon. “I want to take him egging cars and f—ing sh– up and paintball and just go skate and go do fun sh– that I feel like he hasn’t been able to do.” What do you think of Tyler and Justin’s budding bromance? Cowell tells MTV News, ‘The rules are off, basically,’ when it comes to his new show. By Jocelyn Vena Simon Cowell Photo: Vince Bucci/ Getty Images Simon Cowell helped bring back America’s love of a good reality-singing competition as one of the original judges on “American Idol.” Now, he’s preparing to bring another reality competition show, “X Factor,” Stateside, and he says there’s only one way to explain what it is. On Monday, MTV News caught up with Cowell, who said his “X Factor” won’t be like that other show. “Well, I would say that I’m not gonna compare it to ‘Idol,’ ” Cowell said. “It’s started from scratch. It’s a show that, first of all, has to be relevant; it has to appeal to younger viewers as well as older viewers. It should be representative of what’s happening on the charts at the moment, but in a nutshell you can be 12 years old, you can be 50 years old, you can be in a group and the rules are off, basically.” With auditions set to take place beginning March 27 in Los Angeles, fans may be wondering how Simon will make the show appealing to American audiences. “I’ve gone into it, first of all, that it is an American show and whatever happened on the U.K. last year is gone,” he said. “This is an American competition for American contestants. From a pride point of view, they want to make this the best show they’ve ever done.” The judges, Cowell noted , will have a lot to do with the show’s success. “I have to make sure we have a lot of Americans working on the show to begin with,” he said. “I’ve got to have people on the panel with me who can judge American talent because I’m 51 years old, I’m British and we’ve got people as young as 14 entering this competition. So I’ve got to make sure I’ve got people sitting alongside me who genuinely know what they’re talking about so that we don’t lose somebody in the audition process.” Are you eager to see what Simon does with “X Factor”?
