Django Wept: Russell Simmons Apologizes For Unfunny Offensive Harriet Tubman Freaky Film Parody [Video]

BDR ain’t isht! Russell Simmons Apologizes For Harried Tubman Parody Russell Simmons is apologizing after coming under fire for a video that appeared on his new All Def Digital YouTube channel. Via USA Today reports: The “Harriet Tubman Sex Tape” depicts an actress portraying the famous abolitionist having sex with her “Massa” in order to allow her to run the Underground Railroad. The video has since been taken down. Simmons issued an apology on Globalgrind.com in which he says he was contacted by his “buddies” at the NAACP asking for removal of the video. “I’m a very liberal person with thick skin,” wrote Simmons. “My first impression of the Harriet Tubman piece was that it was about what one of actors said in the video, that 162 years later, there’s still tremendous injustice. And with Harriet Tubman outwitting the slave master? I thought it was politically correct. Silly me. I can now understand why so many people are upset. I have taken down the video. Lastly, I would never condone violence against women in any form, and for all of those I offended, I am sincerely sorry.” Youtube/Twitter

WATCH: Seven Psychopaths Is Even Funnier When Cats Stand In For Walken, Farrell, Rockwell, Harrelson & Waits

Over the weekend, I heard Peter Sagal, the host of NPR’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me cite a study by Japanese scientists that determined that workers who watch kittens and other cute baby animals on the Internet are “more focused and productive the rest of the day.” So, in the interest of strengthening the coffers of corporations everywhere, I think you should take the next half hour off and watch these very funny — I mean, cute — Seven Psychopaths   parody trailers, PsychoCats , that feature cats instead of the cast, which includes Christopher Walken , Sam Rockwell , Colin Farrell , Woody Harrelson and Tom Waits . The deservedly anticipated film by Martin McDonagh opens on Friday. Click Here to  Check out Movieline’s Seven Psychopaths photo gallery featuring Sam Rockwell. The PsychoCats trailers were directed by Adult Swim alumnus Jim Tozzi, who co-created and produced the cartoon network’s late, lamented   Xavier: Renegade Angel.  Tozzi studied film and illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design (which sounds impressive until you remember that this guy is making parody videos starring cats.) He’s directed music videos for Mercury Rev and Moby and created the award winning retro “Twip” campaign for TV Land. As part of the art collective PFFR, Tozzi has also esigned animation characters and puppets for the underground hit MTV show, Wondershowzen . Embedding for the Red Band trailer has been disabled for some reason, perhaps because little kids shouldn’t be watching cats drop the f-bomb, but here’s a link to the clip . As Tom Waits says in movie, “Dandy!” Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter. Follow Movieline on Twitter.

Deranged And Disturbed: Washington Survivalist Says The Planning Of The Murder Of His Family Was “Exciting” In Creepy New Video!

This muhfugga GOTTA be off bath salt…smh A Washington Survivalist Says Plotting To Kill His Family Was “Exciting” A Washington man who killed his wife and daughter before taking his own life made a chilling video before the incident, saying planning for the murders had been “exciting.” In the video, released Thursday by the King County Sheriff’s Office, 41-year-old Peter Keller said normal life had become too boring. He detailed his plans for a life a life of crime – robbing banks and hiding out in a remote, underground bunker he spent years building. “I’m getting to the point where just trying to live and pay bills and live as a civilian, go to work, it just freaks me out. It’s actually more comfortable for me to think about living out here robbing banks, pharmacies, just taking what I want for as long as I can.” Keller shot his wife, Lynnettee, 41, and daughter Kaylene, 18, in their beds in North Bend, east of Seattle, on April 22. He then torched the home in what police said was an unsuccessful attempt to destroy evidence. Keller then retreated to his underground bunker in Washington’s Cascade Mountains, where he fatally shot himself five days later as police and SWAT teams moved in. In the rambling and often disjointed 10 minute video, Keller – a survivalist who thought the end of the world was coming – said his planned life of crime would “be exciting.”. “It won’t be boring and I don’t have to worry about Lynnettee or Kaylene and everything will be taken care of. It’ll just be me.” After his death, a search of bunker turned up a large cache of weapons, ammunition, body armor, food and thousands of dollars in cash. The video was among the evidence taken from the underground hideout and it was released by the sheriff’s office Thursday after the department announced its three-month investigation was completed, according to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. The video is “breathtaking in its evil,” said King County Sheriff Steve Strachan. He noted that Keller had been planning to kill his family for months – or even years – before the crime took place. Keller also planned ahead for his own death. “I do have my escape and that’s death,” he said with a laugh. “I can always shoot myself. I’m ok with that.” At least this crazy son-of-a-beyotch is in a better place…Hell. Image via AP Peep the video below.

Big K.R.I.T. Makes ‘Important’ Music With B.B. King

‘He heard the record, he loved it and he also played the guitar on it,’ K.R.I.T. tells ‘RapFix Live’ about ‘Praying Man.’ By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Sway Calloway, Big K.R.I.T. and Ed Lover on “RapFix Live” Photo: MTV News Big K.R.I.T. may be a new artist, but the standout Mississippi MC has an old musical soul. On Tuesday, K.R.I.T. released his debut album, Live From the Underground, and while he features quite a few artists on his LP, the one that stands out the most is blues legend B.B. King . “I think doing a record with B.B. King allowed me the opportunity to blend two different generations across the board and make a song that I hope is extremely impactful,” the King Remembered in Time told MTV News correspondent Sway, Ed Lover and Doctor Dre when he appeared on “RapFix Live” on Wednesday. The record is “Praying Man,” a poignant story-driven rap on which K.R.I.T. rhymes from the perspective of three slaves who are facing death. During the first verse he rhymes as a slave hanging from a tree in a noose and in the second he tells the story of a slave jumps off his captive ship into the Atlantic Ocean. On the final verse, K.R.I.T. spits about a man running from a lynch mob. It’s all pretty deep and a far cry from most of today’s rap fare. “All three of these people are dead, but they’re rappin’ to you as if they didn’t know and the praying man that they’re talking about is death coming to take them from their situation,” the producer/MC explained of the track’s concept. “When I was working on the record I was like, ‘Yo, this would be crazy if I got B.B. King on the song.’ ” Krizzle’s wishful thinking eventually turned into a reality. “I was actually able to make it happen. He heard the record, he loved it and he also played the guitar on it. He gave it his own feel as well,” K.R.I.T. said before he confirmed that he will also shoot a video for the song. “I’m excited for people to hear it and when we do shoot a visual, because I know we got to, it gotta be cinematic.” Coming from the South, K.R.I.T., who built his buzz by releasing a trilogy of free mixtapes , felt it was his duty to tell these types of stories on his album after hearing stories about the civil rights movement from his grandmother. “It’s important that I talk about all that. It’s a lot of people that died for me to have the opportunity that I have now, just the freedom,” he said. “It shouldn’t be forgotten as far as the past is concerned.” What is your favorite song off Big K.R.I.T.’s Live From the Underground ? On Saturday, April 21th I came to London from Norway since I knew Justin was going to be there at the 23th. I have waited so long to get a chance to meet him but it seems like he never will come to Norway, so I decided to go to London with my dad and meet my english friend , Rosie, as well ( @rosieibbotsonxx ). On Monday Rosie and I took the underground from London to Heathrow Airport terminal 5. We arrived at there about 10.10 am. We thought we wouldn’t reach it because people were saying that he had already landed. We kept waiting and at 12 he arrived. Everyone ran over to him and it was so many people there. I tried to get a picture with him but the paparazzi kept pushing me away and it was really ANNOYING. I cried so much and I couldn’t even stop. I’ve never cried so much in my whole life. When the paparazzi pushed me out of the crowd. I saw Scooter standing in a corner so I asked him to take a picture with me, and he was so kind! He said yes and we took a picture together. I regret I didn’t speak more with Scooter but I totally was in shock and it was CRAZY. It was impossible for me to get a photo with Justin. At least I got to see him with my own eyes and I also got a short hug!   After the airport me and Rosie took the underground back to London to find Justin’s hotel. He didn’t came out, and a women who worked at the hotel said Justin had left. I had a Norwegian chocolate and a letter I really wanted to give Justin but I couldn’t give it to him because he wasn’t even there. I went carefully up to the hotel and outside the door was a man in uniform who worked at the hotel. I said, “Excuse me can you give this to Justin? It’s really important to me and I came all the way from Norway to see him.” He said no, but it came another man who said he could give it to Scooter. I gave the chocolate and the letter to the man and hoped he would give it to Scooter who would give it to Justin. I haven’t got any respond back so I guess he didn’t get it, but I was at least trying. My friends back in Norway couldn’t make it even though they really wanted to go .  On the photo down to the left you can see my head and Justin, and the photo down on the right is me and Rosie crying. Those two pictures are some paparazzi pictures I found on google. My dream came true, 23.04.2012 and I still hope Justin will come to Norway one day!  Justin if you are reading this, please follow me on twitter  @katrineuggedal , you mean everything to me.
