Politics seem to be a recurring theme for Sherawat, as she stars in her first US feature film entitled “Politics of Love” starring opposite Brian White, Loretta Devine, and Ruby Dee. Florida Republican Representative, Allen West, took to Fox News yesterday and completely disrespected President Obama in an interview with the conservative news channel’s Greta Van Susteren yesterday. We all know that Fox is no fan of the first Black Family in any capacity and Brotha West went on record to express just how he feels. Not only did he fail to acknowledge him as President, he made a point to stress his middle name, “Hussein,” whenever he referred to him. As if that’s not disrespectful enough, he called him a ‘low level socialist agitator’ who ‘never even ran a lemonade stand.’ While it’s no surprise that the Fox correspondent completely agreed with West’s enflamed statements, this beesh starts bringing up old sh*t ‘out of curiosity!’ She questioned whether West believed that Obama was unaware of his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright’s, ‘appalling’ references to white people. And just like the coon he is for the day, he insinuated that President Obama wasn’t being honest about how he really feels. SMH Rep. And I’m not going to back away from telling what the truth is.” The freshman lawmaker took issue with the way in which the president has regarded Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), who recently introduced a controversial budget proposal for the next fiscal year. “I think that when you look at what a community organizer is turning out to be, it does seem to be like a low-level socialist agitator,” he said. Last weekend, West and Donald Trump were the keynote speakers at a Tea Party rally in Florida. Kimmy Cakes is doing her Armenian heritage proud… The reality star, who graces the cover of Egypt’s leading fashion magazine DIVA this month, is speaking up on behalf of her peoples today by recognizing the Armenian Genocide of 1915. Kim took to her blog to express her seldom voiced political views: My family and I are incredibly proud of our heritage. My dad taught me a lot about Armenian culture, and I have a strong connection with my roots. Every year, I honor the memory of the martyrs who were killed during the 1915 Armenian Genocide. Even though so many countries around the world recognize the Genocide, the government of Turkey still denies it. It happened before Rwanda, Darfur, and the Holocaust. Maybe none of those other genocides would have happened if more nations had condemned the Armenian Genocide, when 1.5 million Armenians were massacred. Some people might wonder why I’m talking about history on my blog. And that’s what I’m trying to show…it’s not history. Until this crime is resolved truthfully and fairly, the Armenian people will live with the pain of what happened to their families and the fear of what might happen again to their homeland. So out of respect for all those innocent people that died, I’m putting a spotlight on it today. Read the rest of my blog post here. Today, thousands of Armenians will come together in Los Angeles to protest against the denial of the genocide and urge the United States government to recognize the Armenian Genocide. I hope that I can bring some attention to this today. And, this year, April 24 falls on Easter Sunday. Armenians are the first Christian Nation in the world, and almost everyone will be in church to celebrate Easter. Even on this really happy day, we’re going to be remembering the Genocide. There’s going to be a National Day of Prayer in churches across America to celebrate Easter and commemorate the Genocide. My thoughts and prayers are with all my fellow Armenians on this really important day. I stand proud with you always. Guess she is trying to let folks know she is more than just some swirl-crazy bird. Source

The non-profit foundation founded by Kanye West and his late mother Dr. Donda West, “The Kanye West Foundation,” closed recently, for unexplained reasons. Hip Hop Wired is reporting that; “the news of the organization shutting down broke at the end last month when former executive director, Joseph Collins, sent an e-mail to associates, telling them that he was seeking employment because the charity, ‘The Kanye West Foundation,’ had shut down and its phone had been disconnected.” Collins would not elaborate on the reasons for the charity shutting down, and when contacted by The New York Times, would only say; “You’d have to get in touch with Mr. West,” which, according to the newspaper, is a fruitless task. The mission of the foundation was to empower young students, and to; “help combat the severe dropout problem in schools across the United States by partnering with community organizations to provide under-served youth access to music production programs that will enable them to unleash their creative ability and reach their full potential” The foundation website makes a claim of being committed to the foundation in the long term, despite the difficulties in achieving the organizations aims, but, as Hip Hop Wired report, tax forms do show a sharp decline in grant money coming into the organization since its lucrative inception. They note that, according to tax documents, the charity raised an average of $492,000 and made total grants averaging $18,080 in each of its first three years in operation, thanks largely to companies dealing with Kanye. However, it is reported that the charity made just $563 in grants in 2009. Could it be that Kanye wasn’t nearly as interested in the foundation as his mother was, so didn’t put in the time? Surely his name is just as marketable now as it was three years ago, so a dry up of funding can’t be the only explanation? If the reason for the shut down, is because of a lack of participation or interest on Yeezy’s behalf, then that truly is disappointing and shameful.
