Kelly Clarkson will release a new album this year. Really. At some point. But the first-ever American Idol champion has taken to Facebook and delivered sad news to fans: the CD won’t be available until the fall. “I recently found out that my album won’t be coming out until September,” she wrote. “The album has been recorded, but I can’t release it until then. I realize that is a long time, but that’s the best time to release it apparently so I’m sorry for the wait, but I promise you it sounds great!” Little is known about the upcoming album, but Clarkson has said it will possess a cover of Eric Hutchinson’s “Why Don’t You Try” and is “influenced by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Radiohead and there’s a little bit of a Country vibe/influence on a couple of songs.”

The actor, who will be donating one dollar from each ticket sold to the Red Cross Japanese Earthquake Relief Fund, will be ranting and raving in front of audiences on the following dates next month. That strength comes from God. I know a lot of people don’t believe or don’t understand what I’m saying, but that strength comes from up above.” Heading into the top 12 performance show on Wednesday, we’ll take the early favorites and ask again: Who do you think will win?

In a sitdown with Fox News, Sarah Palin discussed the upcoming HBO film Game Change , based on the ’08 Presidential race. Julianne Moore will play Palin . Bobby Brown is denying claims that his daughter used cocaine, despite pictures that leaked last week that seem to show Bobbi Kristina Brown, his daughter with Whitney Houston, doing lines of cocaine with friends. In an interview with CBS News, Brown flat out denied that his daughter was on drugs when asked about it. “I don’t know anything about that,” Brown said. “My daughter doesn’t do that.” Brown was on the show promoting his upcoming album, The Masterpiece , due out on May 11th. Brown also says that a New Edition reunion is in the works.
