Why Wearing Glasses is the Best Thing Stanley Tucci Ever Did

Yesterday, a whole bunch of stills were released for the upcoming Christina Aguilera/Cher strip-musical Burlesque , and while they’re interesting in a “perhaps this isn’t quite the best time to launch Christina Aguilera as a major movie star” kind of way, there was only one thing I really wanted to know: does Stanley Tucci wear glasses in it? As you can see, he does , and admit it… didn’t your interest just go up a notch? Here are three reasons why a glasses-wearing Stanley Tucci is the best kind of Stanley Tucci:

AnnaLynne McCord’s Ass Picks Up The Cleaning

Here’s AnnaLynne McCord doing her lame thing at the dry cleaners the other day. I’m getting bored with this chick, it’s always the same old crap, she walks down the street or blows kisses to the camera like a retard. Show me some ass or something. Maybe if she had less capital letters and more boob I could handle it, but until then I’m stuck with crappy shots of her running errands. Hopefully she’s having some tiny bikinis dry cleaned for the upcoming fourth of July weekend…. Fingers crossed. more pictures of Annalynne McCord here

Lil Wayne, Drake, Gucci Mane Get Personal In DJ Scoob Doo’s ‘Entourage’ DVD

DVD shows Gucc shooting scenes for ‘Steady Mobbin’ ‘ video, which will be featured on ‘Nino Brown Story, Pt. 3.’ By Shaheem Reid Lil Wayne Photo: MTV News Vincent Chase and Turtle can keep chasing girls in Hollywood. DJ Scoob Doo has his own crew of industry bigwigs he’s getting paper with in the upcoming DVD “Entourage: Fetti Holmes Edition.” “It’s the teaser for the ‘Nino Brown Story, Pt. 3’ that’s arriving this summer,” Scoob told MTV News last week. “We don’t have a date for that, but ‘Entourage’ is gonna help you wait for the ‘Nino Brown 3’ DVD.” The DVD features intimate segments with Jadakiss, the Birdman, Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane and Drake. “You’re gonna see a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff with Drake,” Scoob said of one portion of the DVD. “A lot of interaction with Lil Wayne. This is your front-row seat to what goes on in the game, kind of like what ESPN shows behind the sports or the ‘Entourage’ show on HBO shows behind the scenes of the movie industry; this ‘Entourage’ shows the behind the scenes in the hip-hop world. This is no acting going on. “I chose the title of ‘Entourage’ because this is — in my opinion — the heavy hitters of the game. It happens that I have personal relationships with them. It made sense not to sit on the footage, not to sit on the exclusive content. A lot of people are waiting for that ‘Nino Brown Story’ with Lil Wayne. But this is something you can watch to keep you in suspense and satisfy that hunger.” One of the highlights of the DVD shows Gucci Mane shooting scenes for the upcoming “Steady Mobbin’ ” music video; that video will be featured on “Nino Brown Story, Pt. 3.” “Hooking up with Gucci Mane fresh out of jail for the ‘Entourage’ DVD and the ‘Steady Mobbin’ ‘ video was historic,” the DJ/ video director said. “Gucci Mane has frenzy control around him. He has a lot of fans out there. Gucci is a star that’s about to be a shooting star. So it’s an honor for me to catch it while it’s turning into something different. I heard Miley Cyrus shouting out Gucci Mane . Gucci’s hot right now. We linked up on a Sunday on Memorial Day weekend in Miami. Gucci was already doing all his Miami stuff, Memorial Day stuff. He was winning in Miami. We had to take it to the next level with that ‘Steady Mobbin’ ‘ video. We started it in Miami, historic. He had the Bumble Bee Ferrari. The Ferrari is incredible. We took it to Atlanta to finish the ‘Steady Mobbin’ ‘ video. Gucci is introducing the ‘Steady Mobbin’ ‘ video for the people, and it’s a historic event right here.” Wayne shot his part for “Steady Mobbin’ ” — a single from the We Are Young Money LP — at his five-story mansion in Miami earlier this year about two hours before he boarded a private jet to start his prison sentence, while Gucci was already behind bars. Gucci, now out of prison, filmed his scenes last month. “Entourage: Fetti Holmes Edition” comes out this week. Are you looking forward to Wayne and Gucci’s “Steady Mobbin’ ” video? Garofalo: Bible a ‘Work of Fiction’ for ‘Child-Like Audience’

Sometime-comedian Janeane Garofalo never passes up an opportunity to slam conservatives or, apparently, Christianity. The Huffington Post gave her an opportunity June 24 to kill two birds with one stone. In an  interview  promoting her upcoming special on a network called EPIX, Garofalo compared the most widely-read book of all time, the Bible, to a Bill O’Reilly autobiography and a children’s book authored by former President Bush. When asked by a Huffington Post reader which of those three publications she’d rather read, Garofalo said, “Actually that’s like six and one half, that is six and one half right there.” Presumably, she meant to use the popular idiom, “six of one, half a dozen of the other.” “That’s just three works of fiction targeted to a child-like audience so any, all, any one, none,” Garofalo said. “I don’t know how to read either, so that’s kind of a drag.” During the interview, Garofalo also expressed disappointment in President Obama. “It’s a drag that he’s such a conservative,” she lamented. Garofalo’s made her disdain for religion clear in the past. During a June 16 appearance on “The Joy Behar Show” on Headline News, she called prayer “anti-intellectual.” Behar later defended Garofalo on ABC’s “The View,” saying the comedian should have said prayer was “un-intellectual.” Garofalo has also built a long resume of attacking conservatives. She has compared the GOP to neo-Nazis  and called Tea Party protestors ” functionally retarded ,” and ” racist backward motherf***ers .” She has called the stable of Fox News anchors and hosts, as well as conservative talk radio hosts,  liars .

Rush Limbaugh Bashes GOP for not standing behind Barton

(CNN) – Conservative talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh is taking aim at Republican leaders for rushing to demand Texas Rep. Joe Barton retract his controversial apology to BP CEO Tony Hayward during last week's congressional hearing. On his radio show Monday, Limbaugh suggested the GOP leadership likely agrees with Barton's sentiments, but are driven by recent national polls which suggest the majority of Americans support President Barack Obama's push for BP to set aside $20 billion for future liability claims. “It was a shakedown pure and simple,” said Limbaugh, echoing the words for which Barton later apologized. “And somebody had the audacity to call it what it was and now everybody's running for the hills.” “All you have to do is look at the polling,” Limbaugh continued. “We're talking about Republicans inside the beltway. All you have to do is look at the polling data and media coverage and find out what they are going to do.” Barton, the ranking Republican on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, quickly faced fire from both the right and the left after apologizing to Hayward during the BP chairman's appearance before his committee Thursday. Hours later – amid threats he would lose his leadership post – Barton retracted the comments. “Let's just slither away under the rock here,” Limbaugh said, mocking the Republicans' approach to Barton. “We'll let Joe Barton get eaten by the Democrat lizards on this to protect ourselves. This is politics and this is the reason why true believers have such a problem with politics. It's just that simple and no more complicated than that.” added by: TimALoftis

General Stanley McChrystal apologizes for comments in Rolling Stone magazine

Washington Post coverage at the link, and here is Defense Secretary Gates official statement on McChrystal the profile: “I read with concern the profile piece on Gen. Stanley McChrystal in the upcoming edition of 'Rolling Stone' magazine. I believe that Gen. McChrystal made a significant mistake and exercised poor judgment in this case. We are fighting a war against al Qaeda and its extremist allies, who directly threaten the United States, Afghanistan, and our friends and allies around the world. Going forward, we must pursue this mission with a unity of purpose. Our troops and coalition partners are making extraordinary sacrifices on behalf of our security, and our singular focus must be on supporting them and succeeding in Afghanistan without such distractions. Gen. McChrystal has apologized to me and is similarly reaching out to others named in this article to apologize to them as well. I have recalled Gen. McChrystal to Washington to discuss this in person.” http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/discussion/2010/06/22/DI20100622017… added by: Incredulous
