You know, I’d hoped that my warning to Kate Upton yesterday would’ve had some kind of effect on her, and today we’d spot her getting coffee in body paint or something, or at the very least a bikini. Now that Helen Flanagan’s a brunette , it opened up a chance for Kate Upton to reclaim her crown as my favorite busty blonde model. But I’m sorry, I just don’t think this new spread from Vogue is going to do it. Because not only was I expecting something a lot less classy and a lot more busty, but that “behind-the-scenes” video below also pretty much turned me off. Just watch it and you’ll see what I mean. For one, she’s kind of a terrible actress, and two, that definitely isn’t how my fantasy of there being three Kate Uptons would go.
Sheila MacRae, an actress and singer best known for playing Alice Kramden in the ’60s version of The Honeymooners , died on Thursday. She was 92. She died at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, N.J., her daughter Heather MacRae said of the star, who portrayed Alice from 1966-1970. Alice, the long-suffering, tough-talking wife of Ralph Kramden (Jackie Gleason), became a fixture in the “Honeymooners” sketches on The Jackie Gleason Show . For 26 years, MacRae was married to Gordon MacRae, a singer-actor best known for starring in the movie versions of musicals Oklahoma! and Carousel . The MacRaes performed as a duo for nearly a decade in nightclubs, on TV and in concerts across the U.S., and appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show . MacRae acted in a few movies and appeared on I Love Lucy and other shows, taking a break to have the couple’s first child before returning to perform. She wrote in her 1992 memoir, “Hollywood Mother of the Year,” that his drinking and gambling was an issue but she wanted to stay close to keep an eye on him. Her memoir was named for an award she received the year her marriage began falling apart, and in it, she made some surprising statements about their life. During her husband’s woes, MacRae rebuffed overtures from suitors including Henry Fonda, Peter Sellers and Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. Sheila McCrae turned down a marriage proposal from Frank Sinatra, she said. As troubled as her marriage was, Ms. MacRae was reluctant to divorce. “I would have had to take Gordy to court for divorce and spill all the secrets about his drinking and gambling,” she revealed much later in a 1992 interview. The couple eventually separated in 1965 and divorced in 1967. She wed Ronald Wayne the same year; they divorced in 1970. Sheila MacRae is survived by two children, Heather and William, also known as Gar; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; Mr. MacRae died in 1986. Kate Upton is Sports Illustrated prized pig from the county fair that is their business…she’s the golden egg…that makes them serious money…because average American Dudes, who read or at least buy the magazine, love her…. Sports Illustrated made her famous, and they’ve made her their cover girl year after year, and even this year, to avoid causing too much controversy using her again, even though they really wanted to…they gave her the “alternate cover”…or the “back cover”…because they know in terms of their magazine, she is the only thing that really matters. I don’t need to sit here and hate on a company that has for the last 50 years found girls to pose in their bikinis, a lot of them top models, for free. I don’t need to celebrate what they do either, or be inspired by it, or even think their choices in girls are amazing. I don’t need to talk about Kate Upton’s weird sloppy body and tits and how she’s a product of serious doctoring to look semi appealing, so much that she’s practically an artist rendition of herself… But I can’t help but laugh that they had to take her to zero gravity so that her tits don’t sag… It’s like these Sports Illustrated people are pulling all the tricks they can to keep on using her despite her over-eating…and they have got resourceful or desperate enough to turn to space travel technology to make her look good… I don’t hate, it’s a waste of energy…but I still find it funny..
