‘Eclipse’ Star Tinsel Korey Talks Favorite Scenes, 2010 MTV Movie Awards

‘He’s always thinking about the fuller picture with all the fight scenes,’ actress says of ‘Eclipse’ director David Slade. By Kara Warner Photo: MTV News As Twi-Hards know, the actors, directors and assorted crew associated with “Twilight” are typically under strict orders to stay mum about most details related to the films. So although castmember Tinsel Korey — she plays wolf pack den mother Emily Young — couldn’t reveal too much about the upcoming “Eclipse” when MTV News caught up with her, she did open up about the vampire franchise’s latest director. David Slade (“30 Days of Night”) helmed “Eclipse,” due June 30, and Korey had nothing but kind words for him. “He’s great. He’s a really different director from Chris Weitz,” Korey told MTV News, comparing Slade to the man who led “New Moon.” “Chris Weitz is an actor’s director, where you focus on all the emotion, whereas David Slade is more technical, so there’s a distance because he’s always thinking about the fuller picture with all the fight scenes.” Just back from the Cannes Film Festival, where she promoted her independent feature “Stained,” Korey also talked about the scene she’s most excited to see onscreen. While she hasn’t seen the finished third installment, the “wolf pack” creation story, she said, is a “beautiful moment” of storytelling. With the 2010 MTV Movie Awards set to air June 6, we asked what she thought the chances were that “New Moon” would claim Best Movie over “Avatar” and “The Hangover.” Not surprisingly, Korey said she had no doubt her movie would take the golden popcorn

Adam Lambert Takes to Tonight Show Stage

In his music video for “If I Had You,” Adam Lambert combines the worlds of Willy Wonka with Thriller and Interview with the Vampire . Sounds about right for the flamboyant artist, doesn’t it? But Lambert toned his look down a bit for a performance on The Tonight Show Friday evening, merely donning a pair of zebra-inspired pants for a rendition of this same single. Judge them for yourself now: Over the past couple weeks, Lambert has appeared at charity event that raised money to fight AIDS; taken part in a concert sponsored by KISS-FM in Los Angeles; been interviewed by Ellen DeGeneres; and come down with a slight case of Bieber Fever . We hope he’s feeling better because there’s a tour of North America to go this summer! Below, enjoy his Tonight Show performance of “If I Had You.” The Tonight Show Performance

Adam Lambert: On the Set of "If I Had You" Video

Ready to return to the set of Adam Lambert’s “If I Had You?” Earlier this week, we gave fans a look at the artist’s upcoming music video for that single, via this series of photos from it. Now, we’ve returned with even more eccentric shots of Adam and his back-up singers/dancers. An insider describes the video as “Willy Wonka meets Thriller meets Interview With The Vampire,” which sounds like the sort of thing Lambert would come up with. Looks like it, too… Click to enlarge the photos above and check out Adam in all his decked-out glory. Below, meanwhile, we’ve posted a video of Lambert on set. He’s discussing the theme behind “If I Had You” (i.e. life is worthless without the one you love) and coming across as his typical well-spoken, calm, cool, funny self. Enjoy! Music Video Preview

Muse Eclipse Soundtrack Video Premieres

Brooding clip for ‘Neutron Star Collision’ shows unseen snippets from ‘Eclipse.’ By Eric Ditzian Muse’s “Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)” The “Twilight” universe’s favorite band is back. As if Stephenie Meyer and the creative minds behind the big-screen vampire franchise would have it any other way. Muse is making it three-for-three when it comes to the vampire movie soundtracks, contributing the lead single off The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, “Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)” And now they’ve premiered the music video for the song. The clip is an unadorned one in its simplicity, almost reminiscent of the music videos you’d regularly see on MTV back in the ’80s. The band plays in front of oversize screens, colored lights glow and mix around them and snippets of Edward, Bella and Jacob flash across the screen. Muse’s “Neutron” track itself dropped on Monday, and MTV premiered a 30-second chunk of the video last week, but this is the first time fans have had the chance to check out the nearly four-minute visual in its entirety. At the outset, the camera pans down to find lead singer Matthew Bellamy on the piano, as a single source of light projects hazy blues and reds behind him. “I was searching, you were on a mission,” he sings. “Then our hearts combined like a neutron star collision / I have nothing left to lose / You took your time to choose.” Does any of that, by any chance, remind you of a certain girl caught between the affections of a vampire and a werewolf? Right. The video doesn’t show us a ton of fresh footage, but we do get a sense of story elements set to the tune of a brooding, epic rock song: There’s Edward and Bella in a field of flowers, there they are checking out her engagement ring and there goes a shirtless Jacob embracing the woman he loves. We also get the Volturi, the wolfpack and a quick close up nefarious Victoria. That’s not to say there’s nothing new. By our estimation, among the first looks we get are Edward and Bella kissing in the field, a shot of the Cullen family together and Victoria running from the snapping jaws of two wolves. Check out the video for yourselves and let us know what we missed! The Eclipse soundtrack is due on June 8 and the movie hits theaters on June 30. What did you think of the Muse video? Robert Pattinson And Adam Lambert Talk Fame On ‘Ellen’

‘I don’t think my friends have seen ‘Twilight’ yet,’ RPattz says of keeping his pre-fame friends around. By ‘I don’t think my friends have seen ‘Twilight’ yet,’ RPattz says of keeping his pre-fame friends around. MTV News staff Robert Pattinson on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Wednesday Photo: Warner Bros. Ellen DeGeneres had a double bill of People ‘s Most Beautiful stars on her show Wednesday (May 19), as she welcomed Robert Pattinson and Adam Lambert to her studio. RPattz talked “Eclipse” and was groped by an enthusiastic fan during a segment called “Pattin’ Pattinson,” while Lambert chatted about “Idol” and busted out his single “If I Had You.” First up came everyone’s favorite vampire for a ridiculously sustained round of applause from the studio audience. He was all smiles, quite the contrast to his overhyped reputation as a brooding Hollywood star. But, as Pattinson explained, his public visage has nothing to do with a gloom-and-doom attitude. “I just like doing things where you have a little time to think about what you’re saying,” he said. “I’ve always had a problem actually thinking before I open my mouth.” Give Pattinson credit for staying true to himself rather than getting swept away by his ever-growing fame. His friends help him stay grounded. “My friends are exactly the same,” he said. “I don’t think my friends have seen ‘Twilight’ yet.” One fan who definitely has seen “Twilight” — multiple times, no doubt — is the lucky “Ellen” audience member who took part in the “Pattin’ Pattinson” game, in which she was blindfolded and had to feel up three different men (one of whom was RPattz) and try to guess which one was the vampire star. “I get to touch him!” she squealed. And touch him she did. A lot. Alas, she didn’t make the right pick. Pattinson, for his part, just seemed thankful that the whole thing was over quickly. Next out came Lambert, just hours before the new season of “American Idol” is set to finalize its top-two finalists . The singer was in that exact same position last year, and as he told Ellen, any pressure he felt then was nothing compared to what he’s experienced since leaving the show. “To be honest, going into my career, this is a lot more work than that was,” he said. “Being a recording artist, touring, promos, visiting radio stations. I’m having a blast, but it’s a full-time job. On ‘Idol,’ I was singing one day a week.” Later in the show, Lambert came back out for an energetic performance of his newest single, “If I Had You,” a tune he said is about “connection and love.” “It’s talking about how fame and fortune and all the material things that come with this lifestyle don’t mean anything if you don’t have that love and that connection,” he said. “And I think it’s such an awesome message to put out into the world.” Who is your favorite of the hotties on “Ellen”: RPattz or Glambert? Let us know in the comments! Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .
