Just when the cast of Floribama Shore gets it together, something happens that drives them further apart. The latest installment of this MTV hit picked up mere moments after Jeremiah learned of his grandfather’s death. There were tears, fights and more tears, and we’re going to unpack all of the big developments from the episode right here. Before his exit, however, he wanted to hit the bar with his roomies and have a drink to celebrate his grandfather’s life. Everyone made their way to The Salted Goat. Yes, that’s actually the name of the bar. It’s ridiculous, but the cast is probably barred from every other fine establishment in Florida, so they had to make do. While most of the houseguests were upset, and drinking slowly, Nilsa partied a little too hard when she laid eyes on her ex-husband’s friend. It resulted in her running backward and forward to the bar to get some shots. It did not go unnoticed by the others, who were under the impression this was a quiet family night. Things got worse when a man appeared at the table asking about the cast. Kirk and Codi were happy to answer questions, but Nilsa was rude as hell. “Bye, bitch,” she yelled while waving her hand at the man. She continued to be rude, and the man ultimately left the situation red-faced. Back at the house, Nilsa flat-out refused that she was rude to anyone, and even asked the following: “What bar?” This further irked her friends because they were only in one bar the whole night. Nilsa denied that she was drunk, and got especially mad when her BFF Aimee did not defend her. Aimee was right not to defend her. Nilsa was in the wrong and all the others wanted was for her to own it, and they could move on. But Nilsa called her friend, Shayla, and got ready to leave the house. The only thing that kept her there was a hug from Kortni (of all people!). Nilsa still played dumb the next morning, but Aimee said she was not ready to forgive her because the man was friendly, and that it’s no way to treat a nice person. Jeremiah made his exit, but Kortni put a letter in with his packed lunch for the road. She told him that she would always be there for him. That was enough to confuse Jeremiah because he knows there’s a burgeoning romance there, but he needs to decide whether he wants to leave the one night stands behind and get in a relationship. In a real shocker, Codi and Jeremiah managed to put their feud aside. As you will recall if you watch Floribama Shore online, Codi’s grandfather died last year, so they bonded over that. It’s amazing, but these two were so against each other earlier in the summer, but if they manage to put it aside, something good will come of it. The ladies went away on an all-female trip, leaving Kirk, Codi and Gus to do their own thing. The boys went to a bar and Gus opened up about his issues growing up. He recalled the time he found his mother sleeping with another man, and it paved the way for his father to leave with another woman. It was heartbreaking, but the biggest shocker was saved for the final scenes: Logans Fairbanks aka Kortni’s stalker left flowers, a letter and images on the doorstep of the house at 3 am. Surprisingly, it most likely wasn’t because of the return of Lawrence ( Jay Ellis ). In episode five, Issa Rae ‘s character ran into him at the store on her Coachella trip and in episode six, they see each other again at Tiffany’s ( Amanda Seales ) baby shower. Their conversation seemed to go smoothly and Issa made it clear by the end of the episode that she was ready to move on. Only problem is, her new potential bae went missing in action! That’s right. Earlier in the episode, her new starry-eyed boo thang, Nathan (played by Kendrick Sampson), was making it seem like he had feelings for Issa when they were snuggled up in her bed. But when Issa texted him about a Lyft investigation pertaining to the night they met, Nathan didn’t respond for a day in a half. So in millennial dating years that’s like…a week! There could only be two explanations for this. Either Nathan’s on the run from the law… Or he completely ghosted Issa. Thornton/Getty Images La’Britney Talks About Her Experience On “Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood” And Why She Enjoys Working With Women This season of Love & Hip-Hop Hollywood introduced a new character in the form of Detroit singer La’Britney who has been propelling her career forward at a rapid pace. BOSSIP caught up with La’Britney this week in advance of the new episode of LHHH. She told us all about her hustle to succeed, the challenges of reality TV and why she feels it’s important people see her and Kash Doll working together. “I’ve been performing since I was a little girl, I grew up watching artists like Aaliyah, Beyoncé, Ciara — female artists who can sing and dance at the same time — I’ve literally been infatuated with since I was a kid,” La’Britney told BOSSIP about her inspiration to become an entertainer. “I would sit and watch and learn Aaliyah’s music videos and memorize the choreography down to every dance step. My parents had me in dance classes and vocal classes since I was 8 years old and I professionally started doing music when I was 16. I was in a girl group [Savannah] for a couple of years out of Detroit. The group ended up splitting and I continued doing music as a solo artist in Detroit and I’m still doing it now.” La’Britney told us she made the decision to move to LA this year after being offered the opportunity to do VH1’s hit show “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.” The show has a reputation for putting young artists in some pretty precarious positions but La’Britney says the experience has been largely a positive one for her. “Honestly for me it’s been really easy because I’m always true to myself no matter what I’m doing, so if you watch “Love & Hip Hop” you’ll see that my storyline is literally La’Britney, a music artist from Detroit who moved to LA and is there trying to figure out how to take my career to another level,” the Detroit native told BOSSIP. “It’s been really easy for me, but the show itself is definitely based around drama, because that’s what people want to see. If everything was happy and unicorns and cotton candy I don’t think people would enjoy it as much.” “But my experience with it has actually been really dope,” La’Britney continued.” I’ve been performing all my music, for the most part I don’t have any beef with nobody. I had a little bit of beef but I took care of that.” “It’s been a dope experience learning the TV world, because this is the first time actually being on a television show. So it’s been dope learning TV and Hollywood and it’s making me want to pursue other TV and acting roles in the future. I want to play Catwoman one day.” Don’t chalk her up to being an amateur though! La’Britney has plenty of on camera presence because she’s been acting for some time back home in Detroit and even done some independent film work. “I’ve taken acting classes back in Detroit, I’ve been in a lot of local Detroit movies, I don’t know if you’ve heard of like “Buff Stuff” and “Corner Store,” those are Detroit classics. It’s on my list of goals to start this year, acting classes in Hollywood. In the meantime, La’Britney did find herself in a little bit of drama due to one particular storyline that involved Lyrica trying to check her over her being friends with A1. La’Britney told us she was about the defuse the situation pretty easily on camera and the moment turned viral for her — in a positive way! “I had just performed at a showcase and after I performed Lyrica approached me checking me about being at one of A1’s shows,” La’Britney recalls. “I had went to one of his shows and she was watching my Instagram story while I was there. She never said anything and she doesn’t follow me or anything.” “Me and A1 met through mutual friends, writers and producers, we were talking about working on music, we actually worked on a couple of songs. It’s an innocent work relationship. After I performed at the showcase, Lyrica tried to check me about being at the show and I had to let her know I don’t know who the fu** you think you talkin’ to but I go where the fu** I want to go and I do what I want to do.” “ The clip from the show went viral, everybody thought it was so funny. I got these t-shirts made that say I do what I want and LANation, that’s my fanbase, they’ve been eating them up, buying them. They’re cute lil crop tops that say ‘I do what I want.’” What’s most important to me with”Love & Hip Hop” is to maximize my exposure. Nothing is stopping her these days. La’Britney’s song “Actin’ Funny” featuring Kash Doll is doing extremely well on YouTube where it recently passed over 500K views. Like between me and my friends we pull our wardrobe together, the makeup and hair that’s all a self-made thing so to reach those milestones definitely makes me feel good. If all 500,000 of those people gave me a dollar we’d have half a million dollars.” “It was really dope — that’s my first music video to reach that many views and when I say that was all, me and Kash Doll putting that together. We’re both Detroit girls and the song’s been going crazy, especially in Detroit.” Speaking of Detroit, La’Britney recently returned home to perform with Teyana Taylor as part of the KTSE tour. “I just opened for Teyana Taylor at the KTSE tour in Detroit, so when I performed that song in Detroit I was able to see how many people love the song,” La’Britney told BOSSIP. “The whole venue was in there singing the whole song word for word and I even had Kash Doll come in and perform the song with me. It was so much girl power in the room that night, me, Teyana Taylor, Kash Doll and DaniLeigh.” Without naming names, we asked La’Britney about the music industry’s tendency to pit female artists against one another. She told us that she’s working hard to prove that’s not always the case. “It’s hard for women who make it hard,” La’Britney told BOSSIP. “Everybody that is in my life that I work with on the day to day are all women. I’m all about girl power and unity because I feel like women, we can relate to each other better than anybody. We all have periods, we can’t talk to a man about cramps and stuff like that, they don’t get it.” “To have strong women in your corner that support you and you support them, it’s a different type of power,” La’Britney continued. ” Me and Kash Doll have known each other for a long time in Detroit so us linking up was so easy. I hear a lot of horror stories about women coming together to try and do music, it be a bunch of bullisht but me and Kash Doll both support each other fully. We actually dropped another video together a month ago called “FWU”. She’s going to appear with me on “Love and Hip Hop” too — I think episode 14. This season me and her shot a video on the show as well, I just wanted to show people two girls from Detroit, we are two female music artists in this industry who support each other. You can come together and it’s not always about who is the biggest. It’s not always gotta be a competition. Issa and Nathan seem to be hitting it off nicely. He’s supporting her dreams and they seem to be very close to falling in love. Lawrence is back (Lawrence Hive can breathe again) and it seems he’s been having a lot of “fun” while he’s been away. Things aren’t going so well for Chad but that’s okay, he seems to be handling it well, right? Things seemed pretty peachy and all back to order, however somewhere in the middle of the episode it all went to hell — quickly! Dro is back in the picture and not for any good reason, Tiffany and Kelli have a falling out after Tiffany finds some new bourgeois pregnant friends to hang out with and our fave Nathan (aka Nanceford) has completely gone missing. He’s not answering her calls and he doesn’t have a voicemail set up. Something is wrong and he’s looking really sketchy. One thing that is never sketchy is Insecure’s playlist for the episode. This one was full of all the gems to make this dramatic rollercoaster of an episode less heart wrenching. Let’s get right into it, shall we? Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth welcomed their first child , a baby boy named Gideon, back in February. But since reality television takes time, we’re just now seeing all the good baby stuff on Counting On. We’ve seen Joy-Anna talk about her plans for a home birth, and then when she went into labor, we saw her dramatic rush to the hospital once her midwife told her the baby was breach. She ended up having a c-section , a little Gideon turned out not to be so little — at birth, he weighed 10 pounds and 3 ounces. After watching all that on the show, we’re now at the point where we get to see Joy and Austin actually caring for their new baby. And as you can see in this new clip from this week’s episode, it’s turning out to be a little more difficult than they thought it would be! Joy-Anna Duggar: Look How Cute My Baby Is! As the video begins, the new parents are preparing to give their son a bath in the kitchen sink, and they say that he usually enjoys the process. Joy, who’s looking about as exhausted as you’d expect the mother of a newborn to look, also says that she’s been having to wake Gideon up during the night to feed him, because he doesn’t wake up to eat on his own. A producer tells Austin that when his own kid was born, he was “freaked out” for the first few nights, and Austin could relate to that. “The first week it was, ‘Is the baby breathing?'” he recalls. “I would just lay there and see if I could hear it, and multiple times I got out of bed, you know, making sure it was breathing.” “I think I’m finally coming to the realization that there’s always going to be something for the rest of my life, and the rest of his life.” Because, as he acknowledges, “that’s just part of my job as a dad.” When Joy has her turn to speak with producers, she admits that “Being a mom is, in a lot of ways, easier than I thought and then, in a lot of ways, harder than I thought.” She says that she knows her mom, good ol’ Michelle Duggar, “had gone through a lot with all of us kids,” but that she didn’t think having a kid of her own would be “that hard” because she’d always helped to take care of her siblings. “It’s given me a whole new appreciation for moms out there that have kids,” she adds. Next, Austin reveals that he’d never changed a diaper before his son came along, but that since Joy had a c-section and wasn’t as able to “get out of bed much,” he had to step up and take care of business. He actually says that Joy only changed about five diapers during the first two weeks, so it sounds like he really was taking over diaper duty. “Austin really stepped up,” Joy confirms, “especially since I had a c-section. I couldn’t really hardly get up at all by myself.” “He had to help me up and I mean, do all the dirty work, for me and for the baby, and just … I mean, he’s amazing.” And then, and this is the super interesting part, she adds that “I haven’t ever seen a guy give so much of himself for his wife.” It’s interesting because the Duggar family is very, very close, and Joy has seen a lot of interactions between married couples. There’s Jim Bob and Michelle, Josh and Anna, Jill and Derick, Jessa and Ben, Jinger and Jeremy, Joseph and Kendra, Josiah and Lauren … So in all of those marriages, she’s never seen a man take such good care of his wife? Also, Austin took care of his kid and his wife after his wife had a pretty major surgery, which is great, obviously, but it’s also just what a spouse should do, you know? Is she saying that the men in her family wouldn’t take care of their children if their wives weren’t able to do it? Because that kind of sounds like what she’s saying.
