The American Idol judge proposed with a ring made by jewelry designer Loree Rodkin, according to new reports, confirming rumors from earlier in the week. “Having made Steven’s jewelry for so many of the past years it was an honor to be part of his future… with all my love to Steven and Erin,” Rodkin told Us . Rumors of the engagement started circulating when the American Idol judge and his 38-year-old girlfriend were snapped in Hawaii with Brady flashing the rock. On Wednesday Tyler’s rep had “no comment” when asked whether the 63-year-old was tying the knot for the third time. But it’s 99.9% confirmed at this stage. NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne has kome under fire following a Tweet in which he expressed disgust at seeing a woman breastfeeding in a supermarket. He has since apologized on his Facebook page. Kahne wrote : “Just walking through supermarket. See a mom breastfeeding little kid. Took second look because I was obviously seeing things. I wasn’t!” A minute later, he wrote: “One boob put away one boob hanging!!! #nasty” followed by “I don’t really feel like shopping any more or eating.” Kasey Kahne, who finished the year fourth in the NASCAR standings, deleted the post quickly but not before it was reported and outrage ensued. Thousands of people on his site left comments, many supporting the popular race car driver, but plenty more taking offense at what he wrote. “You’re horribly sexist, Kasey Kahne, and your misogyny is really unattractive considering the number of female NASCAR fans,” one blogger wrote. The 31-year-old responded on Facebook: “I apologize. It was in no way my intention to offend any mother who chooses to breastfeed her child, or, for that matter, anyone who supports breast feeding children.” “In all honestly, I was surprised by what I saw in a grocery store. I shared that reaction on Twitter. It obviously wasn’t the correct approach. After reading your feedback, I now have a better understanding of why my posts upset some of you.” Kahne also apologized in a Twitter post to one of the woman whom he’d called “a dumb bitch” after she objected to his breastfeeding comments.

According to that newspaper, Bieber and Watson possess the “most influential” hair in all the land. “Hairstylists are being inundated with requests” by clients that want to resemble these stars, the publication reports . “The enthusiasm plays out online, where the fastest-rising searches for celebrity haircuts on Google are for Ms. Watson and Mr. Bieber.” This honor for Justin and Emma is among a few fashion milestones from 2011 the Journal highlights. ‘A Game of Shadows’ appears to pick up where the action-packed, bromantic original began. By Kara Warner Robert Downey Jr. in “Sherlock Holmes 2” Photo: Warner Bros As far as sensational, buzzworthy trailers go, Robert Downey Jr. is on a roll. He’s been a prominent fixture in two of the most talked-about teasers from two of the most anticipated films. The first trailer is for “The Avengers,” which Marvel and Disney rolled out last week, and the second is for Guy Ritchie’s bromantic “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” which hit the Interwebs on Wednesday (October 19). This second trailer is all about upping the action and mystery. It opens with the voice of new leading lady Sim, played by Noomi Rapace. “What do you see?” she asks Dr. Holmes (Downey Jr.), to which he replies “Everything,” as we are then shown quick cuts of what are likely pieces of the second film’s big mystery. There are dancing couples in a glamorous ballroom (including Sim and Holmes) at some grand party, a game of chess, a possible crime scene with a pile of wreckage in the center, bullet holes in the walls, cocked pistols and — gasp! A shot of Rachel McAdams’ shifty lady thief Irene Adler walking somewhere with haste and some sort of precious parcel. The last shot in the opening montage is a glimpse at Jared Harris as evil-ish Moriarty looking out from behind super-secret spy glasses (not really, he’s just holding a lorgnette — those fancy glasses people use at the opera). “That is my curse,” Holmes says, a bookend to our introductory 20 seconds or so, before Ritchie kicks the action into high gear and packs the remaining two minutes and seven seconds with explosions, running, shooting, etc. — basically, Holmes and Watson (Jude Law) are up to their old tricks. “Oh, how I’ve missed you, Holmes,” Watson says to his friend. “Have you? I’ve barely noticed your absence,” Holmes answers back in a passive-aggressive tone, pretending not to have missed his best friend. This brief exchange is followed by more quick cuts of exotic locations and Watson’s wedding and an introduction to bad guy Moriarty. “What are we up against here?” Watson asks Holmes. “The most formidable criminal mind in Europe,” Holmes says. “Professor James Moriarty,” Watson says, reading his name from Holmes’ notes somewhere. “If we can stop him, we can prevent the collapse of Western civilization,” Holmes adds dramatically, before an explosion erupts in the background. “No pressure.” This is followed by more running, bullets flying, a slow-motion cat-and-mouse chase in the snow, banter with lady Sim, as well as a few Holmes and Watson moments, including one in which the former suddenly appears dressed in drag. “What?” Watson says when he encounters Holmes as a lady. “I agree it’s not my best disguise,” Holmes counters. Finally there are more quick cuts of action, much of which looks to be set on a moving train that later explodes, along with a brief but passionate kiss between former lovers Holmes and Adler. Catherine Kieu Becker, a 48-year old woman California resident, has been arrested after she admitted to slicing off her husband’s penis and tossing it into the garbage disposal. According to police reports, the couple is in the middle of a divorce. Becker laced her unidentified husband’s food with some kind of drug, knocked him out, tied him to the bedpost and took a blade to his manhood. She eventually called 911 and cops arrived on the scene to find the man “bleeding profusely.” Becker was arrested on several charges, including aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment and assault with a deadly weapon. Her husband is in stable condition. Lt. Jeff Nightengale said no motive has been determined, but we’re gonna go out on a crazy limb and say the man was cheating on Becker, who told authorities her husband “deserved” to lose his genitalia.
Forget all those stories about how Emma Watson is a mature, grounded young celebrity. The actress made a startling confession to David Letterman last night: She once got drunk!!! The Harry Potter star answered the host’s awkward questions about drinking in response to Daniel Radcliffe’s admission last week that he developed an alcohol problem while filming this franchise. “It’s really not something that I genuinely know much about,” Watson said.”As far as I know, he never took a sick day. By Eric Ditzian Emma Watson on the July 2011 cover of Vogue Photo: Vogue When we caught up with Emma Watson at the MTV Movie Awards afterparty earlier this month, the 21-year-old Brit confessed, “I’m having the time of my life.” For the first time in her professional career, Watson is free of the all-encompassing “Harry Potter” franchise and has set about creating for herself a cinematic second act — one that has nothing to do with Hogwarts and Hermione Granger. It’s been a long time coming, as the actress admitted in a new Vogue cover story. “I have had no control over my life,” Watson said. “I have lived in a complete bubble. They found me and picked me for the part. And now I’m desperately trying to find my way through it.” The first move she made was signing on to an adaptation of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” a provocative novel about teenage life in America. She also dropped out of Brown University in March, after years of fighting to continue her education while also remaining committed to one of the biggest film franchises on Earth. “I have felt for the last 10 years I have had this battle — I’ve been fighting so hard to have an education. It’s been this uphill struggle,” she said. “I was Warner Bros.’ pain in the butt. I was their scheduling conflict. I was the one who made life difficult.” Now fully outside the “Potter” bubble, Watson is trying, as she put it, “to really enjoy the good things because it makes the bad things OK.” Among those unwelcome things is the constant attention of the paparazzi. And when she does begin a new relationship (her previous one ended last summer), she hopes the tabloid spotlight won’t spoil the romance. “I’m a feminist, but I think that romance has been taken away a bit for my generation. I think what people connect with in novels is this idea of an overpowering, encompassing love — and it being more important and special than anything and everything else,” she said. “I would love to not date someone in the same industry as me.
