Source: Boston Globe / Getty Elizabeth Warren Makes Presidential Proposal To Cancel Student Debt For 42 Million Americans Sen. Elizabeth Warren is laying out more of her cards in her Presidential run. According to CBS News , the Massachusetts senator is unveiling a student loan forgiveness proposal that she says will cancel up to $50,000 of debt for more than 42 million Americans. This new proposal would be added to her plan for free college tuition at two and four year public institutions. The initiatives would cost $1.25 trillion over a decade, according to her staff, and it would be covered by her “ultra-millionaire tax,” which would annually tag a 2 percent tax on wealth above $50 million and a 1 percent tax on wealth more than $1 billion. According to a Brandeis University study of Warren’s proposal cited by the campaign, more than 95 percent of Americans with student loans would be assisted by her plan. It would also eliminate all debt for more than 75 percent of Americans in general. Her proposal would cancel $50,000 in student loan debt for Americans with household income below $100,000 along with “substantial” debt cancelation for everyone with household income between $100,000 and $250,000. Households with incomes topping $250,000 wouldn’t received any loan forgiveness. A big goal of Warren’s plan is to reduce the wealth gap between people of color and White people. Her campaign also argues that the plan would boost the economy by increasing home-buying rates and sparking more business creation. Many students will already have less debt under Warren’s higher education proposals since she wants undergraduate tuition to be free at two-year and four-year public institutions. She also wants to boost federal grants to assist students with other college-related expenses like books, room and board. On top of all this, her proposal would invest an additional $100 billion over the next decade in Pell Grants. “Higher education opened a million doors for me,” Warren said. “It’s how the daughter of a janitor in a small town in Oklahoma got to become a teacher, a law school professor, a U.S. senator, and eventually, a candidate for president of the United States.” A road to debt-free education? Where do we sign?! Other candidates better come correct.

According to reports, the firearm went off , sending pieces of glass and metal into his face and brain. FOXSanAntonio reports: The accident happened just after 11 p.m. Monday on Shasta Avenue near Pleasant Road on the South Side. Police said the 16-year-old was playing with a loaded 9mm gun and taking pictures when he shot the phone causing the glass and shrapnel to hit his eye and face. Police are still investigating , but the good news is the teen is in stable condition, although the shards penetrated his brain.
Last week, we reported that Josh and Anna Duggar are selling their home in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. This unexpected development attracted a lot of attention, as the Duggars generally aren’t big on relocating. Sure, Jinger Duggar moved to Texas — and will soon pull up stakes yet again to head for LA — but she’s always been the family rebel. Josh moved to Washington, D.C. in order to work as a lobbyist, but ever since returning to his home state amid a growing sex scandal, he’s seemed content to stay put. His new home seemed to be perfectly located — just outside his native Tontitown and nicely removed from Springdale, where most of his siblings live. This allowed Josh to participate in Duggar holidays and other celebrations, but also to return home each night to a town in which he’s slightly less notorious. We guess every mile helps when you’re trying to live down a small town sex scandal. Anyway, Josh and Anna seem very eager to seel these days, so much so that they just lowered the asking price on their home from $299,000 to $289,000. This news comes to us courtesy of the folks at Starcasm , who report that Josh and Anna’s recently remodeled home is not without its amenities. The house is within the boundaries of the Ozark National Forest and boasts “a brand-new security system complete with ‘wireless area perimeter sensors’ a 210-foot zipline in the front yard; and close proximity to both a fireworks outlet (3.9 miles) and the Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs (9.4 miles).” There have been plenty of rumors about why Josh and Anna are such motivated sellers, with many fans favoring reports that Anna is finally divorcing her disgraced husband — but sadly, that seems highly unlikely. Much more plausible is the theory that Josh and Anna are tangled up in a messy financial situation. For one thing, they’re very likely experiencing financial difficulties. Josh hasn’t been involved in his family’s media empire since 2015, and raising five children on a used car salesman’s budget is no easy feat. On top of that, there are complications regarding the deed to the house. Back in 2015, Josh was sued by Danica Dillon , an adult film actress who claimed Josh was non-consensually rough with her during a sexual encounter. Seemingly as a precaution against her suit (that was eventually thrown out of court), an LLC owned by Duggar family attorney Travis Story. As Starcasm points out, under Arkansas state law, property owned by an LLC cannot be seized in a personal lawsuit. Story still owns the property, and this likely factored into the Duggars’ decision to sell. Unfortunately, it seems they’re not having much luck finding a buyer. So apparently, a house with an infamous history that’s likely to attract negative media attention is not a hot property in rural Arkansas. Who would have guessed? Sometimes the complaints can be valid, like when the cast claims that conversations have been spliced together to make things more dramatic. But like when Jenelle gets mad that producers make her look bad when it's really just that she makes herself look bad? That's a little silly.
