Meet Richard Vody. Rich here likes to break into people’s homes and bite their ears off. According to NBC News: A 28-year-old man is charged with breaking into a suburban Chicago home and biting off another man’s ear during an argument on Friday, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. Richard Vody, of Justice, Ill., forced his way into the victim’s home early Friday and, during a heated dispute, leaned in and bit off half of the 26-year-old’s right ear, according to police. Authorities said the victim’s girlfriend also lived in the home and all three knew each other. Firefighters responded to the scene and took the victim to an area hospital for treatment. With the help of Chicago police canine units, the missing part of the man’s ear was found Saturday near the home. Vody is charged with home invasion, aggravated battery and domestic battery, according to a press release from the Cook County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently out on $250,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. SMH at how happy he looks in his mug shot. Drugs are bad, m’kay, Richie.

Gilford police said two people stole jewelry and other items from a home on Foxborough Drive last month. Evidence led police to believe the suspects’ car got stuck in a ditch, and a tow truck was called to pull them out. A tow company confirmed it responded to a AAA call that night, leading police to the car. Gordon Potter, who is now in state prison on another case, faces a burglary charge. Kerry Duggan will be arraigned Thursday morning on a burglary charge.
Mm-mm-good Orlando Man Arrested For Stealing $75,000 Worth Of Soup Via NBCNews A 51-year-old Orlando man was arrested on charges that he stole a tractor trailer containing $75,000 worth of soup, authorities said. Eusebio Diaz Acosta, 51, faces charges of grand theft of cargo worth $50,000 or more and grand theft of a motor vehicle following his arrest early Sunday on the Florida’s Turnpike, according to authorities. Broward Circuit Judge John Hurley called the facts of the case “very unusual.” “This is the first time the court’s ever seen $75,000 worth of soup stolen,” Hurley said Monday, as he set Diaz Acosta’s bond at $25,000. The Florida Highway Patrol said that it received a report of a stolen tractor trailer hauling soup that was being tracked by GPS, and the tractor trailer driven by Diaz Acosta was pulled over at the 63-mile marker of the turnpike in Tamarac. NY Woman Arrested With Drugs Stuffed In Her Body Cavities Via Morning Sentinel Police found 645 oxycodone pills during a body cavity search of a New York City woman Saturday. According to Waterville police Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey, police received a tip Friday from a confidential source that the woman, Ebony Howard, 28, would be entering Waterville around midnight with the drugs, along with William Waters, 31, also of New York City. Police received a description of the vehicle and the two people and watched the area for several hours that night before spotting and arresting them at 12:30 a.m. Saturday at an Irving gas station on Kennedy Memorial Drive. Rumsey said the arrest, made by Detective Duane Cloutier, occurred without incident. He said that after the two were detained, Howard was searched and police found the pills “packed into her body cavities.” Rumsey said the drugs had a street value of $20,000. Waters also had a small amount of mary jane and 2.7 grams of a substance being tested in Augusta, Rumsey said, adding that police suspect the substance is Ex. Each is charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, police said. The charges are class A crimes, which can be punished by up to 30 years in prison and $50,000 in fines. Rumsey said police expect more charges against Waters after the substance is tested Sounds uncomfortable to say the least. She probably needed that little green to keep calm and relax. SMH

According to NY Daily News reports : A double amputee allegedly gunned down a Walmart worker after being asked to put his service dog on a leash — before being caught fleeing on his motorized scooter by cops. Daniel Pirtle, 45, was said to have been asked by assistant manager Jason Mahi, 33, to place the animal under control after entering the store in Anchorage, Alaska, on Saturday afternoon. His request sparked an argument, during which Pirtle pull out a weapon and shoot Mahi in the stomach, witnesses said. Trying to escape on his electric vehicle, Pirtle was nabbed by cops close to the building’s entrance. They arrested him, placed him in handcuffs and confiscated his handgun. Army veteran Sergeant Carlos Morales told the Anchorage Daily News the gunshot “sounded like somebody dropped a big box”. Morales, who was in the store with his wife and children, said he rushed to help Mahi who had fallen on the floor. “He said, ‘I can’t feel my feet.’ He just kept talking about his kids,” said Morales, before adding: “My kids, my son,’ that’s basically all he said. Everyone else tried to keep him awake.” Mahi was rushed to hospital where he underwent surgery. He is now in a stable condition. Anchorage Police Sgt Cameron Hokenson said Pirtle was charged with first-degree assault and fourth-degree weapons misconduct. He is now being held at Anchorage Jail on bail of $50,000. His dog has been taken temporarily to a female police officer’s home. Walmart spokesman Dan Fogleman said the shooting was a “senseless, unprovoked act of violence”. SMH. Thank God the man lived! Norwegian Teacher Fired For Bringing Her Blood For Students To Taste Via NYDailyNews A Norwegian kindergarten teacher was fired this week after she brought a vial of her own blood to class and allowed children to touch and taste it, the head teacher of the kindergarten said on Friday. The teacher in Sola, on Norway’s western coast, brought in a blood sample that was taken earlier in the day and poured it on a plate for the children, aged between 3 and 6, to see. “The children asked if they could touch it and she allowed them,” Inger Lise Soemme Andersen told Reuters. “Then they asked ‘how do we get it off?’ so she put her finger in her mouth and the children followed suit. “The parents are mortified, shaken and shocked.” Soemme Andersen added that the teacher, a temporary employee, had been tested for AIDS and Hepatitis B following the incident. How could this woman possibly think that sending her kids a knife to murder their grandparents was a good idea??? Via MSNBC: A Florida woman is in jail on a $5 million bond after she plotted to have her young children murder her in-laws, authorities said. Leticia Silva, 31, of Lakeland, Fla., is accused of mailing her daughters, ages 7 and 9, a knife from jail last December. Silva allegedly instructed the kids to use the blade to murder their paternal grandparents in Greenville, N.C., said Christy Wallace of the Pitt County Sheriff’s office. Silva lost custody of her children after she was arrested in Florida for possession of methamphetamines and sent to prison, NBC affiliate WFLA in Tampa Bay reported. Her young daughters have lived with her in-laws for seven years, Wallace said. The murder plot went awry after the childrens’ grandmother found the knife under one of the girl’s pillows in early February, according to Wallace. That’s when the grandmother brought both girls to the sheriff’s office, where they informed investigators that their mother told them to use the blade to kill their grandparents. An investigation is underway and police won’t speculate on Silva’s motives. Silva’s friend, Mary Snell, told WFLA that Silva was determined to regain custody of her daughters. “Her one goal in life was to get them back,” Snell told WFLA. Silva turned herself into the Pitt County Detention Center on Monday, according to sheriff’s office press release. She is charged with four counts of first-degree solicitation to commit murder and is being held under a $5 million secured bond.
