Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum are poised to become the second-ever couple from The Bachelorette to walk down the aisle – and they’ll do it on reality TV. The couple is poised to share the dramatic new chapter of their love story with millions of viewers and Bachelor Nation when ABC televises their wedding. The December event will be titled The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.’s Wedding . Guess that gets the point across. The couple got engaged at the end of Ashley’s Bachelorette season in 2010. She’s since graduated from dental school at the University of Pennsylvania and is completing a specialty in pediatric dentistry at Philadelphia’s St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. J.P. Rosenbaum , 35, is a successful construction manager in New York City. Madawaska, Maine native Ashley Hebert , 28, was rejected by Brad Womack on the prior season of The Bachelor before assuming the starring role that summer. The cute couple will join Trista and Ryan Sutter as the only couple from the show to ever get married to their chosen partner. Hey, two is better than one, right? Jason and Molly Mesnick from The Bachelor are also married – and expecting! – though he actually chose Melissa Rycroft on the show before getting together with Molly. Congratulations to Ashley and J.P. on their upcoming big day!
With the 2012 election exactly three weeks away, Jay-Z has released a new ad for President Barack Obama’s campaign, entitled “The Power of Our Voice.” Jay-Z Obama Ad – The Power of Our Voice Interwoven with clips of Obama’s own September 1 speech, Jay’s two-minute video praises the White House occupant, crediting him for giving so many people “hope.” “The hope of people all across the country who would look and see themselves and know the possibilities,” the rapper and music mogul tells the camera. “For so long there was this voice that was silenced our there and I think it was silent because people had lost that hope.” The spot shows Obama at the Made in America festival, where he praised Jay-Z for making it without coming from privilege as a testament to the “promise of this country.” Obama and Mitt Romney square off tonight in the second of three presidential debates. Can he turn it around after Romney won the first debate so convincingly? On October 3, Obama seemed to have the edge in 2012. Scarlett Johansson is channeling screen legend Janet Leigh in this depiction of the cult movie Psycho ‘s famous (or infamous) shower scene. Johansson is, of course, portraying Leigh’s character Marion Crane in the upcoming Oscar contender Hitchcock , which will have its world premiere as the opening night film at AFI Fest November 1st. Alfred Hitchcock (Anthony Hopkins) and his wife Alma Reville (Helen Mirren) are the focus in the Sacha Gervasi-directed feature, which is set against the backdrop of filming Hitchcock’s Psycho in 1959. Click for more images from Hitchcock Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh Johansson as well as Jessica Biel, Vera Miles, James D’Arcy, Danny Huston and Toni Collette also star in the film, which spans from the time of Wisconsin murderer Ed Gein, who was the inspiration for Psycho ‘s Norman Bates character, to the release of the acclaimed film in 1960. Hitchcock and Reville’s marriage comes under strain due to the filmmaker’s determination to complete the film. It is hard to completely tell if Johansson is wearing a bit of lipstick to show off her pillowy lips, given the color vs. black and white comparison with the original, but a little creative license will always be at play nevertheless. Psycho became a big success despite the fact that horror was often dismissed by the Hollywood elite of the time. Janet Leigh’s scream is easily one of the most recognizable images in Hollywood history. Leigh died in October 2004 at 77. Alfred Hitchcock passed away in 1980 at age 80. David Fincher can’t help but direct. The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo helmsman does what he does best and bosses around a couple of guys from Blur Studio in this Kickstarter campaign video for an animated adaptation of Eric Powell’s very cool comic-book series The Goon . Fincher, who’s teamed up with Powell, Goon publisher Dark Horse Entertainment and Blur directors, Tim Miller and Jeff Fowler, joins those last two men in the clip to attempt to raise $400,000 so that they can produce a finished first reel of the film. And he’s not about to leave the driving to them. After Miller and Fowler begin their appeal, Fincher bigfoots the two guys and decides that a series of niche spots are the way to go. He then proceeds to sell Powell’s world of zombies, vampires, fish-men and giant squid to Little Orphan Annie fans, liberals (“Put a caring man back in the White House”), conservatives (“Put the right man in the White House”) and arch conservatives (“Put a white man back in the White House”) as well as fans of hip hop, R-rated movies and movie trailers. Okay, so the humor is pretty lame, but the footage included in the Kickstarter clip (via FirstShowing.net ) is beautifully bad-ass and features voice work by Clancy Brown as the Goon and Paul Giamatti as Franky’s swashbuckling pupil-less friend Franky. (Now do you get the Little Orphan Annie reference? ) The airborne car scene with Franky spraying machine-gun fire from the hood of a sweet convertible muscle car is dreamy. Monica Lewinsky, whose affair with Bill Clinton nearly brought down his Presidency, is set to write a tell-all book about it for $12 million, according to reports. The former White House intern, 39, will share letters she wrote to Clinton, 66. “In them, she opened her heart about her love for Bill and how much happier she could make him than [Hillary Clinton],” an insider is quoted as saying. “Some of what she wrote was so raw that she never sent them.” Clinton has been so revered since he left the Oval Office that it’s almost easy to forget that he was only the second White House occupant ever to be impeached. He was accused of perjuring himself after his affair with Lewinsky was exposed in 1998; he was acquitted in 1999 and left office in 2001 with strong approval ratings. The 42nd President, whose DNC speech on behalf of President Obama this month was considered by many to be one of his all-time best, has rebuilt his image since. Sources say that Monica Lewinsky’s book will reveal that Bill Clinton derided wife Hillary as a “cold fish” and complained about their “non-existent sex life.” Lewinsky, whose post-scandal life has included work as a news correspondent and handbag designer, has had trouble earning a living, sources explained. “No one will hire her and she can’t get a job … She needs to make money,” says a friend of Monica, who is persona non grata pretty much everywhere. There is no official word where this picture came from. Though we’re inclined to believe a White House shutterbug snapped the candid moment between The POTUS, The GOAT-Camel, and baby mama Bey Bey. It’s election time, and the Obama campaign is full speed ahead trying to pander to the young, “hip-hop” demographic that helped him move his belongings to the nation’s capitol in 2008. Michele Bachmann said President Barack Obama can’t relate to “the common man” because of his extreme wealth, failing to note that GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney is worth hundreds of millions more. “President Obama is extremely wealthy,” Bachmann said when USA Today asked how someone with “vast wealth” could connect to the American public. “He and his wife have been wealthy for a number of years, and so I think that’s really the issue. President Obama is wealthy–what does he understand about the common man right now?” According to financial disclosure reports released by the White House in May, the Obama’s hold assets worth between nearly $2.6 million and nearly $8.3 million.
