Sources confirm to Us Weekly that the original American Idol is dating Brandon Blackstock , the 35-year old stepson of Reba McEntire and a Nashville-based talent manager. He’s also the son of Clarkson’s own manager. “Before Brandon, Kelly had a really tough time with love,” an insider claims. “[Brandon] is just what she needed.” Good. The launch date for the next iteration of one of the biggest gaming franchises of all time, Diablo III, has been announced. The heavens shall tremble May 15. Blizzard, the company releasing the product, says all gamers who digitally pre-order it will be able to play Diablo III “the minute the servers go live.” Also on May 15, the much-anticipated game will be available at retailers throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. The digital version will be available in the regions above as well as in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil, making this truly a global gaming event. The release of Diablo III will once again have players returning en masse to the village of Tristram on a quest to save the world from a demonic invasion. Players will be able to play as a barbarian, monk, demon hunter, witch doctor, or wizard in an experience driven by fast-paced action RPG gameplay.

The latest controversy surrounds daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, who announced this week that she’s dating Nick Gordon , a young man taken in by her mother many years ago and raised as her stepson. Bobbi and Nick went public with their status on Twitter, with Gordon emphasizing there’s no blood relation between the two and telling the “haters” they “don’t have a brain” if they find anything wrong with the scenario. Turns out, according to TMZ sources, Gordon was challenging Whitney’s mom, Cissy, who a friend claims takes major exception to her granddaughter cozying up to her quasi sibling. She has reportedly labeled the relationship “incestuous” and believes Nick is taking advantage of a vulnerable Bobbi. Moreover, this mole says Cissy is willing to take an extreme step in order to split the couple up: she’s asking Whitney Houston’s Estate to legally evict Gordon from the premises. Early estimates predict the Boss’ Wrecking Ball will surpass 21 for top spot on week’s Billboard albums chart. According to industry site Hits Daily Double, Springsteen’s new Wrecking Ball disc is giving 21 its toughest competition to date in the battle for #1 on next week’s Top 200. With slightly more than half of retail data compiled, Adele has sold roughly 89,000 copies of her album, while Springsteen has sold nearly 82,000. Based on those early estimates, Hits is estimating Wrecking Ball will sell approximately 200,000 copies (Springsteen’s previous studio album, 2009’s Working on a Dream, bowed at #1 with sales of more than 223,000 copies), ending Adele’s run of 10 consecutive weeks atop the Billboard albums chart. In an interview with The Sun, when asked about the criticism Adele received from designer Karl Lagerfeld , she had these wise words. “That’s horrible. That’s ridiculous, that’s just the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I don’t like it when anybody says anything bad about anyone — I don’t like it. Adele’s a great talent and how much she weighs has nothing to do with it,” she said. “The thing for Adele to remember is at the end of the day, whether you rise or fall, it has so much to do with how you sustain yourself and keep your integrity and your inner strength.” Her last bit of advice seems relevant not only to living pop stars, but also to two pop stars we lost in the last year. “It is all about who you surround yourself with — friends and people who really do care about you, and care about your well-being beyond being a superstar. That’s the most important thing,” she said, later addressing the losses of Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston. “One thing I was struck by with Whitney Houston is I remember she sort of came out as a singer around the same time I did,” Madonna added . “I remember looking at her singing and hearing people talk about her, and just thinking, ‘Oh my God. She’s such a beautiful woman and my God, what an incredible voice. One month after the death of her mother, Bobbi Kristina Brown sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a revealing chat on the latter’s network Sunday night. After greeting the host with a hug, the 19-year old told viewers she was “doing okay,” adding: “I’m getting through it. I’m doing as good as I possibly can… just trying to keep going.” Bobbi, of course, has been the subject of many rumors and headlines since her mom passed away on February 12, with drug problems allegedly surfacing again and family members supposedly pushing her to check in to rehab . But the teenager said she’s doing her best to hang in there, and that she receives help on a daily basis from her mom. “I can hear her voice in spirit talking to me, ‘Keep talking to me. I got you.’ She’s always with me,” Bobbi said. “I can always feel her. I can always feel her with me. She always asked me, ‘Do you need me?’ And I caught myself, out of nowhere, I didn’t even know I said it, I said, ‘I’ll always need you.'” Bobbi also recounted the final day she spent with Whitney, saying: “It was so early in the morning. I went to go get her and I said, ‘Come lay with me.’ She stayed with me all night and all day. She was just rubbing my head and holding me. I just slept in her arms.” What does the future hold for Brown? She isn’t sure exactly, but something in the entertainment realm perhaps. Some acting, some dancing , Bobbi speculated, concluding: “I have to carry on the legacy.”
