What’s The All-Time Best ‘Sex And The City’ Episode? Stars Make Their Picks!

‘The City’ co-stars Whitney Port and Roxy Olin, ‘Hills’ star Stephanie Pratt and more weigh in. By Jocelyn Vena Whitney Port Photo: MTV News With the highly anticipated “Sex and the City 2” about to hit theaters on Thursday, MTV News asked some of the show’s biggest celebrity fans to dish on their favorite episodes from the TV series, which aired from 1998 to 2004 before spinning off into the films. There were a lot of fabulous episodes to choose from, but Roxy Olin, who stars in “The City,” another show single women living in Manhattan, said “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” from season two was a standout for her. In that story line, Carrie discovers the perfect way to get over one of her many breakups with Mr. Big. “At the Yankee game, when she goes and gets with the Yankee … I just remember that so clearly,” Olin told MTV News. “And she was drunk or something at the game. There’s so many moments in ‘Sex and the City,’ I can go on and on and on.” “Twilight” star Elizabeth Reaser went with season-three episode “What Comes Around, Goes Around,” which finds Carrie involuntarily parting from one of her most prized possessions. “Love the moment where she gets robbed,” Reaser laughed. “I think she gets mugged for her shoes.” “The Post-It Always Sticks Twice,” which aired during season 6, still tops the list for many “SATC” fans, including “The Hills” star Stephanie Pratt and “Hills” alumna Whitney Port. In the episode, Carrie’s writer beau Berger breaks up with her via the sticky paper. “When Carrie gets broken up with on the Post-it note, and they go to the downtown bar,” Pratt recalled of the shaken Carrie and her pals. “Maybe when she gets broken up with on the Post-It?” said “The City” star Port of the same episode. “That’s so sad!” At the “Sex and the City 2” premiere in New York City on Monday, Port revealed that of the four ladies, she connected most to the Manolo Blahnik-loving Carrie. “I think I relate to Carrie probably the most,” she said. “Because I think careerwise, [my path is] like the path that she took.” What’s your favorite “SATC” episode? The City Recap: Olivia Palermo is Professionally Dangerous

Okay . If you’ve watched 30 seconds of The City in your life, you know that Olivia Palermo’s “job” (term used loosely) at Elle is menial at best, and utterly pointless at worst. Most jobs, especially in the world of fashion, are a bit less glamorous than you think. Still, there are deadlines, meetings, places to go, things to do and people to meet, etc. That’s why it’s called work , in other words. Unless you’re Olivia Palermo . In last night’s episode, “Professionally Dangerous,” she proved very much so. Because for her, a job doesn’t even mean she shows up where and when she’s supposed to. Olivia was assigned (obviously) to interview Whitney Port for Elle.com. But she didn’t go to Whitney’s thing because she wasn’t feeling it, and hung with her real friends instead! That’s what a career is about – whatever the f*%k you feel like! BEYOND USELESS : Palermo sets the bar lower and lower each week . To borrow one of our favorite Office Space quotes : So Olivia …. what would ya say ya DO here?! Seriously, nothing. Forget stirring the pot with Erin, she’s just dead weight. Commitments, accomplishments, reliability, even merely showing up – overrated really. One needn’t have a reputation for any of the above to keep her job here in 2010. Not at one of the top fashion magazines, at least. At this point, it’s so obvious Elle gave her a fake job for publicity, otherwise this would never be permitted. Minus 120 . A quick plus-minus recap of the rest … The photographer says shooting wars and Whitney’s clothing line are both “extreme.” A little much, but Plus 2 anyway for the heavy flirting going on between them. Hot! After Olivia fails to show up, Erin Kaplan says she should be embarrassed. True, but amazingly, that’s as bad as it gets for O – complaints, not consequences. Minus 6 . A FAMILIAR EXPRESSION : Now if only Erin could/would fire her … Meanwhile, Roxy goes out with Zach, and things are going pretty well, but for some reason, she can’t stop talking about her dog in L.A. Dude, no one cares. Even . Kelly to Whitney: “Take this bitch out … You have to let people who are toxic and dangerous to you know you’re going to f*%king fight back!” Plus 15 . Thank you! Sadly, Minus 5 because Whitney Port blows it. By sitting, rather than pinning her against a wall and pimp-slapping her, she allows Olivia to just get up and leave. Ever the disciplinarian, an angry Joe Zee forces Olivia to take Whitney to lunch as penance. So he punishes her with more time away from work. Great. Minus 6 . TOTAL: -120. SEASON: -109 .

‘The City’ Star Roxy Olin Calls Nemesis Olivia Palermo ‘An Obstacle’

‘She deserves everything she gets!’ Olin tells MTV News of siding with co-star Whitney Port in this season’s fashion-world drama. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Roxy Olin Photo: MTV Fans of “The City” are about to see fireworks explode between Whitney Port and her nemesis Olivia Palermo . But no matter what goes down between the two girls, Port’s right-hand gal, Roxy Olin, has always got Whitney’s back. “Olivia is very well dressed. I will give her credit for that, but she’s hard to deal with and we butt heads,” Roxy told MTV News of interacting this season with her co-star, an Elle accessories editor. “I’m definitely on Whitney’s team with this and after watching it, I’m like, ‘Oh, my God! You’re not a nice girl and what you’re willing to do [to people], and you’re sabotaging someone’s [fashion] line that they worked so hard [on], and have been your friend and have been in your corner.’ ” Roxy warned that she, Whitney and their crew wouldn’t let the headstrong Olivia walk all over them. “It’s not going to be like that anymore,” Olin said. “We’re not in your corner and you’ll see that, and if that means drama, then bring it. She deserves everything she gets!” Although Roxy said she is a “huge advocate for change,” she was unsure about whether Olivia could change her stripes. While the girls were shooting and living out the drama of the show’s third season, the “City” castmember said she hadn’t realized just how devious Olivia could be until she watched the new episodes. “I think while experiencing that [drama], we did not think [all] that was going on,” Olin said of Palermo’s antics. “We thought she was helping, so watching it, it’s like, ‘Really’? We’re right about our instincts, and she’s not a good person. It’s cutthroat in this fashion world and she’s one of our obstacles.” Teasing that Whitney and Olivia are going to have a confrontation that will leave fans wanting more, she too says that she and Olivia also come to verbal blows. “I did have a confrontation,” she said. “I think you’ll see it. Whitney’s [confrontation] is great though. You know how sweet Whitney is … so …” Who do you think will win in the Olivia vs. Whitney battle 2010? Discuss in the comments! “The City” airs Tuesday at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT after “The Hills” at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Related Photos The City (Season 2) | Cast

‘The City’ Star Whitney Port Teases New Love Interest

Port and photographer ‘kind of just hit it off,’ she tells MTV News of season-three romance. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Whitney Port In the trailer for the new season of “The City,” which is set to kick off Tuesday (April 27), Whitney Port seems to have found herself a new guy. When MTV News recently caught up with Whitney, we asked her to dish on her potential season-three love interest. It turns out the pair met at a photo shoot for the “City” star’s clothing line. While Port wouldn’t say how serious the relationship gets, it was a good time, she said. “Jonathan was the photographer for the shoot, and he’s actually a war photographer,” she told MTV News. “So this was very different for him to be shooting little dresses. But we kind of just hit it off. … He asked if I wanted to get a drink, and we got a drink, and he took me on a motorcycle ride.” Whitney’s penchant for motorcycle rides will be familiar to fans who watched her romance with then-BF Jay. But they’ll have to tune in, Port said, to see if the new couple manage to take their relationship to the next level. “We had a good time,” she admitted. “We’ve enjoyed hanging out, and I guess we’ll just have to see how it plays out.” After having some past bad relationships play out onscreen, Port said she was feeling reluctant to date on TV. This time around, only her more casual relationships will make it to air. “I don’t think I’ll ever show a whole relationship again,” she said. “I think that was too emotionally taxing, but dating and meeting people is harmless.” What do you think of Whitney’s taste in guys? Tell us in the comments! “The City” premieres tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT after “The Hills” at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Roxy Olin Previews Return of The City

Roxy Olin is not shy about admitting she joined The City to boost her career. The daughter of Brothers & Sisters cast members Patricia Wettig and Ken Olin, she’s grown up around actors and actresses, which she aspires to be. “When I was considering joining, my dad was like, reality is the new generation – either you can run with it or you can get left behind,” Roxy said. “My parents thought it sounded cool, like nothing they’d ever done before … now my dad wants to be on it! I think he’s going to be on an episode.” Regardless, the second season of The City kicks off this evening at 10:30 on MTV, right after The Hills . It centers mainly on Hills alum Whitney Port. Olin is her BFF, roommate and co-worker at People’s Revolution, the fashion PR company featured on Bravo’s Kell on Earth , run by Kelly Cutrone. Whitney Port and Roxy Olin return on The City tonight . The series also stars socialite Olivia Palermo and Elle PR director Erin Kaplan, who if history is any indication, will really hate each other every episode. As for what we can expect from the show’s leading lady? “Whitney steps into the exciting territory of being a fashion designer, but she also becomes an adult and true professional,” producer Liz Gately says. “She really takes ownership of her line, which is exciting and we pull back the curtain on how a young designer gets it all together,” added Gately. Roxy Olin will be there to support Port, but she also has her own ups and downs: “There’s a lot of me trying to find who I am here in New York.” She aims to use the show to help her acting career . “I’m going to start auditioning soon. [A reality show] could help or hurt; we’ll see.” “I always tell myself, if Justin Timberlake could make it out of a boy band, there’s hope. At the least, I’ve gotten more comfortable in front of the camera.”

Whitney Port to Pen Advice Book For Girls

She’s already a reality star, a PR person for a well-known New York firm and celebrity fashion designer, but Whitney Port is not about to rest on her laurels. She’s adding author to her resume, too. The MTV star, who starred on The Hills before moving to New York to star in The City , will pen a book called … wait for it … True Whit . It’s due out in 2011. A “conversational, fun, and candid guide for girls looking to start out [in life] with style,” she plans to write personal stories, and advice for young women. No clue who would buy that, but you could do worse, we suppose. Would you want your daughter taking life advice from Whit or Heidi Montag ? Exactly. Whitney Port knows how to express herself. “Being a twenty-something can be a difficult phase,” says 25-year-old Whitney Port . “There are so many questions, and I wanted to write about my experiences.” It could be of use to “anyone who needs help navigating through life.” Among the serious, pressing topics to be covered? Getting rid of puffy eyes, dressing for a date, decorating a tiny apartment, and hosting some killer parties. Adds the star of The City , which returns tomorrow night: “It’s a how-to-guide where I share anecdotes that I’ve learned from both work and my personal life.”

Whitney Port Shows Us Her Oh Face

I like Whitney Port , I think she’s pretty hot and would like to have those long milky legs wrapped around my head for a few days. That being said, here she is at the Coachella Music Festival making one of the ugliest faces I’ve ever seen in my life, and I write a lot of posts about Fergie . I seriously hope this isn’t the face she makes during sex, I don’t think I could handle that. At least she’s wearing little outfit. Enjoy. more pictures of Whitney Port here

Workin’ Girl

Whitney Port looks all business in a red blazer. Must be the shoulder pads. We spotted the star in NYC chatting with a friend and she looks pretty animated. Wonder what they’re talking about?

Whitney Port Dishes on The Hills, The City

We tend to forget Whitney Port was once a part of The Hills . It’s easy to, since it’s currently so bad, and our favorite stars (Whit and LC) are gone. Port has since moved to The City , but the SoCal girl still has plenty to say about The Hills and her spinoff series. Excerpts from her chat with E! : On the coming season : Not as much relationship drama. It shows us four girls trying to make a name for ourselves in fashion, which is difficult because it seems 75 percent of the people in New York are trying to do the same thing. On boyfriend Ben Nemtin : Um, everything’s good. Everything’s good, yeah. On whether he will be on The City : No, no, no, no. Whitney in The City. [Photo: PacificCoastNewsOnline.com] On The Hills’ final season : I think it’s ending on a strong note. I think that they are going out with the popularity still being really high. It’s bittersweet for me. I remind myself still that I was once on it. It seems so far away now. On shark jumping : The show was different when I was part of it. I think when [ Lauren Conrad ] left, a lot of the authenticity and spark went with her. On Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne : Well, if they’re happy, more power to ’em! That’s so funny … I don’t mean funny like they’re funny together. I just didn’t expect it. But sometimes the greatest things are unexpected, you know? On Heidi Montag’s sexual harassment claim : [Just kidding, she wasn’t asked about that nonsense … we’re just making sure you’re still with us] Erin, Whitney, Roxy and Olivia return in two weeks .
