My name is Alexandra. Not only was it April 13th , it was officially the best day of my life. Friday the 13th was not so unlucky for me at all! I found out that Justin was going to be visiting a school and I immediately begged my parents to take me. My mom agreed because she knows I have been obsessed with him for over 4 years. I missed school that day and waited for him to come for 3 hours. I was with my mom, my grandma, my best friend and my little sister. There were many cars that we thought were Justin but they were just decoys. One of the trucks was Kenny Hamilton. I could not believe that I saw Kenny and he rolled down his window to say hi. Everyone started to say how Justin was hiding in Kenny’s truck and how he didn’t want to see his fans. I immediately knew this wasn’t how Justin would behave, he loves his fans. Finally at 1:20pm, a tan GMC truck slowly made it’s way into the main entrance of the school. The truck slowly rolled down the windows and Justin said hi to his fans . At first there was an extreme pause because all of us were so caught up in the moment. We finally all realized and the screaming began. Justin asked if anyone wanted an autograph and I quickly threw my Justin Bieber notepad in the car and Pattie handed it to Justin. He signed it and smiled. While this was happening, he was holding on to my wrist . I realized that Selena was next to Pattie in the car and Scooter was in the back. There are no other words to describe Justin then absolutely flawless. There were many news cast and I got on the news many times for being the girl who was absolutely speechless. I was shaking and had so many emotions running through me at once. This moment still doesn’t feel real because for 4 years I have been a belieber and the day finally came when I met my idol. All I have ever wanted was to meet Justin Bieber and my dream has come true. This will be a memory that I will be able to tell my children when I grow up. Cash Money videographer Derrick G. catches up with Drake during his re-Bar Mitzvah. By Rob Markman Drake in his video for “HYVR” Photo: Universal “Money just changed everything.” Those are the words that opened Drake ‘s Thank Me Later album. Hell yeah, it changed everything. Just look at Drizzy’s recently released “HYFR” video as an example. In the Director X-helmed clip, Drake stages a second Bar Mitzvah to re-establish his commitment to the Jewish faith. “I’m proud, a proud young Jewish boy. When I had a Bar Mitzvah back in the day, my mom really didn’t have that much money. We kinda just did it in the basement of an Italian restaurant, which I guess is kinda like a faux pas,” Drake told Cash Money videographer Derrick G on the video’s Miami set. “I told myself that if I ever got rich, I’d throw myself a re-Bar Mitzvah. That’s the concept for the video.” Drake dropped some childhood party footage at the top of the “HYFR” video, and while it looked like a good time, we’re sure it paled in comparison to his adult Bar Mitzvah, which features Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, Birdman and Trey Songz. The behind-the-scenes documentary shows the Toronto MC interacting with his YMCMB family and his real-life family. “I have some of my mother’s friends, some of my friends,” he said to the camera, gesturing toward Birdman and Khaled, who were seated in the Miami synagogue. “Stunna Man and Khaled had to come and show their support. I learned my Torah portions; they had to come hear me read it.” The set-visit video is filled with a ton of fun moments, but none more thrilling than when Lil Wayne performs his verse from the song. Weezy, who starts off in a suit and ski mask, begins to peel back his wardrobe with each passing rhyme until he is in a Truk Fit T-shirt, banging his skateboard across a banquet table. Birdman Jr. is clearly the life of the party. “Maybe in the world, there might be somebody crazier and more energetic and more talented, but I don’t know where the f— they’re at,” Drake said. “This guy gets on the camera every single time and kills that sh–. I met Justin Bieber on the TODAY show on November 4, 2012 but I just finally decided to make a Bieber expierence out of it! I got there at 4 am in and I’d say I was about the 100th person in line. I was a little worried because when I tried to meet Justin at The View, I was the first person in line and I didn’t even get to meet him at all. We waited in line for hours, but then they finally let us through into the barricaded area. I sprinted to a part of the barricades where the cameras were facing because I figured that’s where Justin’s interview would be and I would be able to see and hear the whole thing. Once he came out, everything happened so fast. Despite all the commotion, I thought of something a Belieber that I met in NYC once said to me, “You’ll meet Justin one day, don’t worry. And he looks even better in person”. It was funny because just the night before I was sitting in my bedroom crying because I had lost all hope of meeting Justin until I remembered what that Belieber said to. I knew she said I would meet him one day, but what did she know? I have a one in 20 million chance of meeting him, yet her words gave me enough hope to bother convincing my mom to let me skip the first half of school and bring me into NYC which is an hour away. I kept telling myself “Never Say Never, Mak”. Then he came even closer and my legs were shaking uncontrollably . The girl in front of me screamed “I love you. Do you love me back?” and he replied “I love you more”. The rest was a blur. I didn’t even remember to get my digital camera ready or to make sure my mom was recording on the video camera or think about what I was going to say or to even breathe. Next thing I knew he was in front of me, Sharpie in hand, holding my poster. He wrote his famous initials “JB” on my poster and I didn’t even have to ask. He was already moving on, so without thinking, I screamed, “Justin! I talked to you on Tumblr!” He stopped, looked back at me and said, “What?” I screamed, “Tumblr!” and he smiled that gorgeous smile and said, “Nice”. As fast as he came, he left. I was just another fan in the crowd, but it didn’t matter to me. My life was complete. My love spoke two words to me: “what” and “nice”. I will never forget it. But Justin kept on walking down the barricades, signing posters and saying Hi to all his Beliebers and my time was over. I turned to my mom, biggest smile on my face, and I asked “Did you get it?” She had the video camera by the way. She looked away and mumbled that she forgot to hit record. I burst into tears. I couldn’t believe. It all happened too fast for me to remember so I was relying on that video. I wanted to re-watch it over and over again, but now I couldn’t. Then Justin did the interview and I was behind him the entire time. Literally. My head was right between Matt Lauer’s and Justin’s the entire interview. I was watching myself on the monitor and waving like crazy. Later, when we were driving home, my dad called and said that not only was I on the TODAY Show during the interview, but the part when I met Justin was also on TV! Maybe my mom didn’t record the video, but the TODAY Show crew was. P.S. At the time, I thought I had his Tumblr and that is why I said that to him, but now I’m not so sure if the Tumblr was a fake or not, so I sort of regret saying that to Justin. Kate Major has called the police on her former lover Michael Lohan, claiming he violated his restraining order, which he claims is totally untrue … again. This is the April 12, 2012 edition of this oft-repeated story. Law enforcement sources say crazy Kate called the Delray Beach, Fla., police, claiming Lohan had shown up to a salon she was at ( a violation of the current protective order against him) and started furiously banging on the glass windows. Police arrived, but by that point, MiLo had already split … apparently he did not get stuck in a tree trying to flee the cops this time. We think. Michael’s side of the story is that Kate actually invited him to the salon in the first place, so that she could borrow money for him … allegedly. Mike says Kate has been seriously involved with him recently and that the two have been secretly living together in spite of the restraining order. Law enforcement sources say police took Kate Major’s statement when they showed up to the salon and have also spoke to MiLo as well. The Florida State Attorney’s Office will decide if charges will be filed and ML makes yet another contribution to our celebrity mug shots album.
American Idol treated us to seven great performances last night. But the remaining finalists were forced to look ahead on this evening’s results show, as America voted and revealed an inevitable, but sad result for one aspirant: He or she is going home. Who’s on to the top six and who’s out? It looked briefly like fan favorite Phillip Phillips might be in danger, but it came down to a surprising bottom three: Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Elise Testone. That’s right, arguably the three best singers remaining on the show were in danger of getting booted, making for the most gut-wrenching elimination this year. The contestant getting the boot this week was an even bigger stunner, too. Who was it? You’re not going to believe it, but the lowest vote-getter was … Jessica Sanchez . The studio erupted in chaos at this news, but as she began to sing for her life, she was interrupted by Jennifer Lopez, who informed her that she had been … SAVED by the judges!! There it is, the one and only judges’ save of the season, used on a powerhouse performer who definitely didn’t deserve to be in danger, let alone go home. “We are saving Jessica, without a doubt!” Randy said as the judges engulfed her. “This girl is one of the best singers in America! Ever! Are you kidding me!” “Everybody, please vote for the best! Come on!” It remains to be seen if America will heed his words a week from now, but for now, all seven singers survive heading into next Wednesday’s Top 7: Reloaded. What do you think? CBS News’ Mike Wallace, whose name was synonymous with the tough interview and who spanned multiple generations of journalistic excellence, has died. He was 93 and passed away peacefully last night in New Canaan, Conn. “All of us at CBS News and particularly at 60 Minutes owe so much to Mike. Without him and his iconic style, there probably wouldn’t be 60 Minutes ,” said Jeff Fager, chairman of CBS News and executive producer of 60 Minutes . The AP’s David Bauder noted that the journalist’s reputation as a relentless inquisitor was so fearsome that he once described the words “Mike Wallace is here to see you” were the most dreaded words in the English language. “Wallace didn’t just interview people,” wrote Bauder. “Mike interrogated them. Mike cross-examined them. Sometimes he eviscerated them. His weapons were many: thorough research, a cocked eyebrow, a skeptical “Come on” and a question so direct sometimes it took your breath away.” “He loved it,” Fager added. “He loved that part of Mike Wallace.” “He loved being Mike Wallace. He loved the fact that if he showed up for an interview, it made people nervous. … He knew, and he knew that everybody else knew.” “He knew he was going to get to the truth. That’s what motivated him.” A special program dedicated to Wallace will be broadcast on 60 Minutes , the show that featured him for decades, will air next Sunday, April 15. Wallace helped anchor 60 Minutes , TV’s first news magazine, making it appointment viewing on Sunday nights and still compulsively watchable. His last interview aired in January 2008. Slowed by a triple bypass later that month and by the overall ravages of time, he retired from public life. Wallace’s career highlights are too numerous to list. During the Iranian hostage crisis in 1979, he asked Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini what he thought about being called “a lunatic” by Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. Khomeini answered by predicting Sadat’s assassination. Late in his career, he interviewed Russian President Vladimir Putin, and challenged him: “This isn’t a real democracy, come on!” Putin’s aides tried to halt the interview; Putin said he was the president, he’ll decide what to do. Wallace’s late 60 Minutes colleague Harry Reasoner once said, “There is one thing that Mike can do better than anybody else: With an angelic smile, he can ask a question that would get anyone else smashed in the face.” Farewell to one of the all-time greats.
