God Hates Nerds

It seems that the members of the Topeka, Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church aren't very happy about the San Diego Comic-Con. According to them, it's a gathering of lost souls who are obsessively worshipping false idols like Batman: Are you kidding?! If these people would spend even some of the energy that they spend on these comic books, reading the Bible, well no high hopes here. They have turned comic book characters into idols, and worship them they do! Isaiah 2:8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: 9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. It is time to put away the silly vanities and turn to God like you mean it. The destruction of this nation is imminent – so start calling on Batman and Superman now, see if they can pull you from the mess that you have created with all your silly idolatry. Members of the church intend on staging a 45-minute protest during one of the least busy days of the convention in order to get everyone back on the right track. http://gizmodo.com/5588219/god-hates-nerds added by: pjacobs51

RIP Motherfucker the Janine Lindemulder Sex Appeal Edition of the Day

Anyone else who remembers jerking off to Janine in all her lesbian pornos back in the 90s wanting to take those romantic moments back? I know I do cuz this shit is fucking scary…. She seriously turned into a fucking monster, not that I find any pornstars hot to begin with, but some manage to be worth cumming to when there’s nothing else available to jerk off to, especially in a time before facebook profile pictures, and Janine happened to be one of those people despite always having a hard manly face, back before taking dick to stay competitive and using her body as a horrible tattoo artist’s sketchbook and prison and I guess it is all because she didn’t have a daddy growing up, or if she did, he stuck his dick in her and really who cares, I just saw the pics and felt I needed to post an RIP Motherfucker to her sex appeal she once had…. The only thing really interesting about her is not that she is raising kids, but that Sandra Bullock’s pussy is tainted by her porno pussy, cuz Sandra doesn’t care about where her husband stuck his dick, cuz Sandra Bullock, despite popular belief, is a dirty little slut pig. Zuckerman, Beckel Reveal Previously Undisclosed Ties to Obama WH

The confluence between the Obama administration and the journalists who cover it can leave news consumers wondering if they’re getting the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Two prominent media personalities — liberal Fox News Channel commentator Bob Beckel and media mogul Mort Zuckerman, owner of the New York Daily News — have recently let slip that they have worked closely with the Obama administration. Neither disclose this fact with regularity. Indeed, their recent admissions were revelatory. Zuckerman, a self-described Obama supporter, has written at least one speech for the President. Beckel, who worked with David Axelrod during the campaign, is now an adviser in some capacity to the White House.

Lady Gaga and Luc Carl: Playing it Cool

Trolling for dirt on Luc Carl? Don’t expect much from his work. The New York bartender and ex-boyfriend of Lady Gaga, who is reportedly back together with the singer now, works at St. Jerome’s in the East Village. Recently Lady Gaga has been hanging around the bar again, fueling speculation that she and Luc Carl are back together. If so, they keep it very quiet. His co-workers protect his cover, too. Customers have spotted a sign near the telephone that instructs employees to tell callers, “I don’t know Luc.” Luc Carl’s pseudo-celebrity status hasn’t stopped Gaga from stopping by. She visited him on Saturday night, one day after she rocked the Today show . Sounds like Luc Carl is Gaga for this lovely Lady again. Sipping red wine at the bar with her bodyguard, “She was playing it really cool,” a witness says. “You would not have even known they were together.” According to Gagapedia, Luc Carl is a club promoter, musician, DJ, author, bartender, personal trainer, and semi-pro bowler from Omaha, Nebraska. It’s unclear when they got back together, but he currently lives in New York City, and works at two bars, St. Jerome’s, and Welcome To The Johnsons. He dated Lady Gaga for three years, and is the source of inspiration for many songs she wrote during that time – including her newest, “You and I.” Here’s hoping it works out!

Diplo Previews Thom Yorke’s Major Lazer Remix For New EP

Producer explains how the Radiohead frontman wound up on Lazers Never Die. By James Montgomery Thom Yorke Photo: John Shearer/ Getty Images At the South by Southwest music festival in March, MTV News sat down with producer Diplo to talk about his work on M.I.A.’s upcoming ///Y/&#92 album (this was before he called it “a turd” ), and, at the end of the chat — almost in passing — he mentioned an upcoming EP by his Major Lazer project that featured a remix by none other than Radiohead ‘s Thom Yorke . It sounded pretty rad, but there was one problem: According to a label rep who was standing off-camera, the EP would probably never see the light of day, due to — as she put it — “clearance issues.” This was news to practically everyone, Diplo included. “There’s an EP that comes out next month, I think — is it coming out?” he said, stopping to ask the rep. “Oh, it’s not cleared? Oh, well, we have like five records, there’s a record with Collie Buddz, Thom Yorke did a remix for us. … I mixed it down; it’s pretty crazy. … It’ll get out, somehow.” Turns out, he wasn’t kidding. After months of waiting, the Major Lazer EP, called Lazers Never Die, will hit stores on July 20. So, we decided now was a pretty good time to revisit our chat with Dip, in which he told the story behind the collaboration with Yorke. “He came to our party in London in August, the Carnival party — the Notting Hill Carnival — it’s one of the biggest Caribbean parties in the world, 1.5 million people there, dancing to disco, dub music, everything, and Thom Yorke was at our party. He got in, was moshing basically the whole party, like going crazy for Major Lazer,” Diplo laughed. “I met him and we traded some information, and he asked to do a remix for Major Lazer. … And of all the tracks he could’ve remixed, he picked ‘Jump Up,’ which is this jumping, crazy, hype record. And I was like, ‘All right, you sure?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, we can do that one.’ “And he did it, I mixed it down a little bit and put it on our EP,” he continued. “It’s pretty good. It sounds like what you would expect. It sounds like a Thom Yorke remix. It sounds something like ‘Idioteque’ off the Kid A record. I’m a huge Radiohead fan. … What they do kind of influences our music so heavily. I feel like sometimes, Radiohead maybe has a mistake in the studio, and they build with it. They clean it up and make something out of it. And that’s what we kind of do. I feel like most of the stuff I do is an accident.” And that includes spilling the beans on the Die EP, though, even back in March, Dip seemed confident that eventually, fans would be able to hear it. Even if he had to take matters into his own hands. “People will find it,” he laughed, winking at the publicist. “If it doesn’t come out soon, you’ll find it.” Who would you like to see do a remix with Major Lazer? David Lynch Wants You to Help Fund His Next Movie

When he’s not jetting off to Hong Kong to film Marion Cotillard’s tryst with a handbag , David Lynch is attempting to develop new projects of his own. Among them is Lynch Three , the final installment of a documentary trilogy chronicling the filmmaker’s life and work (but mostly his work). That’s where you come in — if you’ve got $50 to spare.

UN’s IPCC Tells Scientists To ‘Keep A Distance From The Media’

The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change has instructed all 831 researchers contributing to the organization’s next round of assessments to “keep a distance from the media.” Such was disseminated in a July 5 letter from IPCC chairman Rajendra Pachauri which has already garnered some criticism from folks on both sides of the anthropogenic global warming debate. Even the New York Times’ Andrew Revkin expressed disgust with this revelation Saturday:   I know a number of supervising authors of the forthcoming reports are eager to revise policies and stress openness. There’s plenty of advice on the way from committees reviewing the panel’s practices. I also understand the reflexes involved here, particularly given how some media overplayed claims that the climate panel had erred in parts of its 2007 assessment. But any instinct to pull back after being burned by the news process is mistaken, to my mind. As I explained to a roomful of researchers at the National Academy of Sciences last year, in a world of expanding communication options and shrinking specialized media, scientists and their institutions need to help foster clear and open communication more than ever. Clampdowns on press access almost always backfire. Indeed. Supporting this view was IPCC contributor Edward R. Carr, an associate professor of geography at the University of South Carolina who wrote Friday: Part of the problem for the IPCC is a perceived lack of openness – that something is going on behind closed doors that cannot be trusted. This, in the end, was at the heart of the “climategate” circus – a recent report has exonerated all of the scientists implicated, but some people still believe that there is something sinister going on. There is an easy solution to this – complete openness. I’ve worked on global assessments before, and the science is sound. I’ve been quite critical of the way in which one of the reports was framed (download “Applying DPSIR to Sustainable Development” here), but the science is solid and the conclusions are more refined than ever. Showing people how this process works, and what we do exactly, would go a long way toward getting everyone on the same page with regard to global environmental change, and how we might best address it. So I was dismayed this morning to receive a letter, quite formally titled “Letter No.7004-10/IPCC/AR5 from Dr Pachauri, Chaiman of the IPCC”, that might set such transparency back. While the majority of the letter is a very nice congratulations on being selected as part of the IPCC, the third paragraph is completely misguided: “I would also like to emphasize that enhanced media interest in the work of the IPCC would probably subject you to queries about your work and the IPCC. My sincere advice would be that you keep a distance from the media and should any questions be asked about the Working Group with which you are associated, please direct such media questions to the Co-chairs of your Working Group and for any questions regarding the IPCC to the secretariat of the IPCC.” This “bunker mentality” will do nothing for the public image of the IPCC. The members of my working group are among the finest minds in the world. We are capable of speaking to the press about what we do without the help of minders or gatekeepers. I hope my colleagues feel the same way, and the IPCC sees the light . . . For an organization that has suffered a tremendous loss of credibility in the past twelve months, any attempt to shelter this process from complete sunshine would be totally misguided. The international community’s belief in AGW has been plummeting thanks to numerous missteps by those promoting the theory. With Global Warmingist-in-Chief Al Gore now in the middle of a divorce and a sex scandal, his contributions to helping publicize AR-5 could end up being limited. Regardless of recent findings largely in support of ClimateGate scientists — the realist community never expected anything other than this as these folks weren’t about to rule against their own! — America’s media have seemed largely detached from this debate in current months. Witness the relative lack of global warming hysteria this past week as temperatures in the northeast broke records. With this in mind, if the IPCC wants the normally compliant press to assist it in making its case when AR-5 is published in 2013, it had better do everything possible to make journalists a part of the process. Failing this, you could end up with far less media support for whatever is published. In the end, this could be the best thing for this debate AND the planet, for without the press banging the AGW drum, climate alarmists are going to have a very difficult time selling their gloom and doom. That is not to say realists should hope for a media blackout. As science has always been on the side of those not buying into Gore’s favorite money-making scheme, full disclosure and openness are in everyone’s best interest.

Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel Half Naked of the Day

I don’t know if I have posted these pictures before. I don’t know when they are from. I just know they are of Alessandra Ambrosio and Candice Swanepoel, two girls who spend most of their professional life half naked whether in lingerie or bikinis, making identifying their work pretty hard since it is all the fucking same, but not the kind of same as when your wife always makes the same fucking thing for dinner, you know the kind of same that makes you hate something cuz you’ve had too much of it, this is the kind of same that is always amazing, no matter how often you sit it cuz they are fucking hot, so I figured I might as well post them even if I’ve posted these or similar pictures like these before, for what feels like the first time, cuz that’s just the level of quality this pussy has…it never gets played out, except maybe to their boyfriends and husbands, cuz bitches, when not in pictures, no matter how hot, tend to be annoying…
