By James Dinh Britney Spears “Til The World Ends” Photo: Jive Britney Spears isn’t the only pop titan dancing until the world ends: Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha have joined forces to add a new spin on an all-female remix of Femme Fatale ‘s second single, “Till the World Ends.” The reworked dance anthem, which leaked online Friday (April 22), appears to have surfaced earlier than expected as noted by a series of countdowns on all three of the star’s websites . Mixing the dance tune’s original sonic swirls with heavier bass, Britney tourmate Minaj starts off the remix by throwing down an aggressive verse, in which she calls out a female hater: “A-A-A-A-A-AYE!/ Chimpanzees is hatin’, but I take it all in stride/ Put her in a jungle with bananas on the side/ Told you they’d revive your career, but somebody lied/I ain’t talkin’ poultry when I say this chicken’s fried.” After Minaj spits a few introductory bars, Spears delivers the song’s first verse before an introduction for the all-star trio. “It’s Britney, bitch. I’m Nicki Minaj and that’s Ke$ha!” the Young Money MC proclaims. Ke$ha, who originally wrote the track for the pop princess, takes part in singing the club-ready track’s chorus. Spears soon takes back control of the song as Ke$ha shadows the singer’s lines toward the end of the second verse and bridge. Unlike the original version, the “Till the World Ends” remix also features a stuttering dubstep dance break. Kimmy Cakes is doing her Armenian heritage proud… The reality star, who graces the cover of Egypt’s leading fashion magazine DIVA this month, is speaking up on behalf of her peoples today by recognizing the Armenian Genocide of 1915. Kim took to her blog to express her seldom voiced political views: My family and I are incredibly proud of our heritage. My dad taught me a lot about Armenian culture, and I have a strong connection with my roots. Every year, I honor the memory of the martyrs who were killed during the 1915 Armenian Genocide. Even though so many countries around the world recognize the Genocide, the government of Turkey still denies it. It happened before Rwanda, Darfur, and the Holocaust. Maybe none of those other genocides would have happened if more nations had condemned the Armenian Genocide, when 1.5 million Armenians were massacred. Some people might wonder why I’m talking about history on my blog. And that’s what I’m trying to show…it’s not history. Until this crime is resolved truthfully and fairly, the Armenian people will live with the pain of what happened to their families and the fear of what might happen again to their homeland. Today, thousands of Armenians will come together in Los Angeles to protest against the denial of the genocide and urge the United States government to recognize the Armenian Genocide. I hope that I can bring some attention to this today. And, this year, April 24 falls on Easter Sunday. Armenians are the first Christian Nation in the world, and almost everyone will be in church to celebrate Easter. Even on this really happy day, we’re going to be remembering the Genocide. There’s going to be a National Day of Prayer in churches across America to celebrate Easter and commemorate the Genocide. My thoughts and prayers are with all my fellow Armenians on this really important day. I stand proud with you always. The annual count of the people who, for better or worse, make our world fascinating, includes an essay by mentor Usher extolling the virtues of the Biebs. “From the minute I met Justin, I knew this kid possessed a certain confidence that only a star could have,” wrote Usher. “He was born a star. ‘We can’t believe our luck,’ Elton tells MTV News at red-carpet premiere of Cameron Crowe musical documentary. Last spring, the fest kicked things off in midtown Manhattan with the premiere of “Shrek Forever After.” This time around, Tribeca returned to its roots, settling into the Winter Garden at the World Financial Center (just steps from Ground Zero) for the debut of “The Union,” Cameron Crowe’s documentary about the Grammy-nominated musical collaboration between Elton John and Leon Russell. “We can’t believe our luck,” Elton told MTV News Wednesday on the red carpet as paparazzi flashbulbs popped around him. Joining the music legend on the carpet were Martin Scorsese, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Anna Kendrick, Rainn Wilson, Denis Leary, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Zoe Kravitz, ?uestlove, David O. Russell and others. Elton himself confessed he was initially nervous to invite Crowe’s cameras into the recording studio, but was very happy with the results and the opportunity to debut the film in New York. “I’ve never had a song filmed when I’m writing it, but Cameron’s such a friend, I trusted him,” he told us. “New York City is my favorite place to play. I’ve played 62 shows at Madison Square Garden, I’ve played at Radio City, Central Park, Shea Stadium, Fillmore East. It’s been a very important city in my musical career and probably the most exciting city in the world.” “The Union,” then, provides a singular window into Elton’s artistic process, and folks like ?uestlove couldn’t wait to see what it was all about. “The ’70s icons that we worship, they came before the information age,” the Roots drummer told us. “Now, you can watch Kanye make beats, but I would love to see how Elton collaborates. And even though Lil Wayne’s I Am Still Music Tour is running concurrently with Diddy-Dirty Money’s Coming Home trek, Tyga insists there are no conflicts between the camps at all. In fact, the YM soldier said Wayne encourages his artists to branch out. “Wayne told us: Don’t rely on him to make you hot, don’t rely on him for the hits. You have to really go out and grind for your own and build your own fanbase,” Tyga told Sway during MTV News’ “Rap Fix Live.” “That’s important. People respect that more, too, when you can build your own foundation and they can really get to you as an artist and not get to know you as a group.” The Grammy-nominated L.A. rapper said he has learned a lot by watching the D-DM stage show and that Combs often comes to him for performance tips as well. “Every time he comes to me after the show and is like, ‘How was that? Was the show dope? Tell me what you think,’ ” Tyga said. ” And I tell him stuff like, ‘Maybe you should add that song right there to keep the energy’ or whatever.
