Size Matters Showcase Closes Miami Music Week’s Beatport Beach

Size Records bash featured Steve Angello, Max Vangeli and AN21. By Adam Stewart Beatport Beach Party Photo: Drew Ressler/ RUKESdotcom “We’re gonna shut this beach down!” Steve Angello told MTV News at Sunday’s Beatport Beach just before he took the stage at his Size Matters Showcase — and, in case you didn’t know, when Angello says he’s planning on doing something, he usually does just that. For the 5,000 fans who were lucky enough to get into the Miami Music Week soiree, they were in for a memorable night. Our crew arrived just as Max Vangeli and AN21 ended their massive set and the 2011 Beatport Music Awards were presented, with Deadmau5, Wolfgang Gartner, Swedish House Mafia and Martin Solveig taking home awards. Harry “Choo Choo” Romero was next up on the massive stage and kept the energy high, dropping his prog-house mega-thumper with Alexander Technique and Junior Sanchez, “Where You Are (featuring Shawnee Taylor)” as well as a massive remix of Swedish House Mafia’s “Leave the World Behind.” Then came the one and only Junior Sanchez, who tore it up with a remix of Sebastian Ingrosso’s “Kidsos,” followed by an amazing and clever mash-up of Armand Van Helden’s “I Want Your Soul” with “Take Over Control” by Afrojack, who joined Sanchez in the booth for the jam. All of these massive sets had the crowd ready to explode as Size Records founder and Swedish House Mafia third Steve Angello took the helm. As Angello took the stage, loading up the array of four CDJs and cuing his tracks, he took the mic and made it clear to the fans that he was on a mission to rock their world: “Miami, are we ready? Welcome to Size Matters and Beatport! Miami, make some f—ing noise!” With that, the crowd went insane as he kicked off with some new material that led into “Miami to Ibiza,” followed by a mash-up of Justice’s “We Are Your Friends (Acapella)” with Alesso’s “Nillionaire,” which on its own turned out to be one of Miami’s most-buzzed-about tracks. Mixing in Calvin Harris’ “Awooga,” which also was heard all around town during the week, as well as the Duck Sauce (A-Trak and Armand Van Helden) track “Barbra Streisand,” Angello had the tanned and tone crowd bumping from the start. Followed by his remix of Pendulum’s “The Island” with Vangeli and AN21, a chain of yet-to-be-identified tracks, including a bass-heavy, grimy-guitar-infused rock anthem, took the party to another level — so much so that Miami Beach code enforcement tried to shut the party down. Knocking out other big tracks such as Supermode’s “Tell Me Why” and the latest SHM single “Save the World,” Angello moved along in his set, dropping bomb after bomb. In the middle of playing out another Alesso track,”Dynamite,” the music suddenly stopped — even if only for a minute, but some in the crowd could sense something was up. “I’m definitely not going to stop! We’re gonna go, and we’re gonna go, and we are going to f—-ing go!” he pledged to his fans. “Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise!” he yelled as he faded back into “Dynamite” — yet this time, with the volume turned considerably down and just minutes later, fully faded to silent. As the fans began chanting the hook from the White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” (as they did the night before at Masquerade Motel ) Angello picked up the mic to share the news: “Thank you guys so much! Unfortunately, we got shut down. Size Matters loves you; Steve Angello loves you; Swedish House Mafia loves you!” End of the story? Not quite. This is Steve Angello, remember? The sea of fans and the energy that he and the whole Size gang injected into their fans all day long weren’t going anywhere. The crowd remained, the chants continued, and suddenly, everyone in the booth — AN21, Max, Junior, Alex Techniques, Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano, even the Beatport staff — joined Angello onstage. No one was going anywhere. And after five minutes of speaker silence and the crowd chanting “We want more!” one of the tech crew members ran onto the stage, signaling to Angello the “OK” for just one more track. With that, Angello raised a finger high in the air and began to cue up the decks, and the crowd started to roar. Junior Sanchez handed Angello a pair of air horns, and he let them rip. Sunnery James motioned for Angello to go to the front of the stage and celebrate; he’d press play for him. And as the intro to “Show Me Love” belted out of the massive sound system again at full blast, the crowd went nuts as it faded into “KNAS.” Confetti cannons exploded, bottles of tequila were popped, and the crowd was egged on by Angello waving his arms. For the Size Records gang, Beatport and their fans, it was a perfect end to one of the most memorable weeks in dance music history. Were you at the Size Matters Showcase? Kate Moss Nipple for Vogue Japan of the Day

I’m a big fan of Kate Moss, literally, I don’t even fit into an XXL sweat pant anymore, not that you care…. Because here are some pictures of Kate Moss in Vogue Japan, because she knows how to give back to a radioactive, tsunami, earthquake ravaged country proper. Fuck the charities, Japan is rich enough, show them your nipples, most of the world has seen already…. Sure, getting naked for money may be the only way her veteran whore, rock and roll needle sharing HIV smelling vagina knows how to give back to the world, and that works for me, cuz Kate Moss is amazing on all levels…except maybe when it comes to parenting…and this weird corset cleavage….but other than that…she’s amazing on all levels… FOLLOW ME

Wonder Woman Overrated on Set of the Day

Here’s anothing thing that makes no sense to me….this Adrianne Palicki bitch they cast to play wonder woman and the fanboys who are actually excited about this shit…Maybe it’s cuz I never read comics and hated the whole superhero bullshit cuz I didn’t feel insecure about my inability to fly or save the world and didn’t feel a need to read about it and try to relate to bullshit….and maybe it’s cuz I could never jerk off to drawings of a busty bitch, but instead needed to see pictures of a bitch, and that’s why I was more into jerking off to People magazine or Vogue or Lingerie Catalogs….or whatever showed a little fucking real girl tits…making the fact that there is excitement from a remake of a shitty show from the 70s starring a thick girl with a shitty body…just confuses the fuck out of me…but then I’m reminded there are socially awkward virgin losers everywhere….and maybe they even out number us people who actually fuck….who knows… To See The Rest of the Pictures – Follow THis Link
