Lil Wayne Shouts Out Justin Bieber, Cory Gunz On Ustream

Weezy says Gunz is joining Young Money in one of several videos made before Monday’s sentencing. By Shaheem Reid Lil Wayne in his Ustream video Photo: ustream Lil Wayne should be touching down in New York City for his jail sentencing on Monday (March 8). In the morning, his videographer and photographer, DJ Scoob Doo , posted notice on Twitter that they were about to take off from Miami to the Big Apple. Scoob also put up photos of their private jet. On Friday night, Wayne again appeared in front of the cameras, via Ustream, using Young Money member Lil Twist’s account. Wayne, Scoob and Twist sat down for dinner at Weezy’s Miami mansion and went live around 8:45 p.m. ” Jay-Z had a concert at Madison Square Garden,” Wayne said to the viewers, recalling the show he attended the night after a courthouse fire delayed his sentencing . ” Jay-Z and Young Jeezy . I had an opportunity to go out there on Young Jeezy’s set and perform ‘I’m Goin In.’ It was surprise to the crowd because they didn’t know I was there. I was supposed to go in [to jail that day]. Nicki Minaj blessed the stage first on that ‘Bedrock.’ When I say blessed the stage, she blessed it. Looking immaculate. Then I came up there. “I just ran out there and performed,” he added. “After I performed, Drake came out there and performed his verse. They went extra bananas. Then Jeezy performed his verse. They went stupid. It was an amazing moment.” From there, Wayne went on to marvel at all the women responding to him on Ustream that said they wanted to have sex with him. The New Orleans superstar also gave a plethora of shout-outs to the viewers as well as to some of his famous friends. “Shout out my n—a Justin Bieber ,” he said, continuing his public conversation with the teen sensation. Wayne also revealed a new addition to his label of talented artists. “Shout out to my n—a Cory Gunz , about to be the newest member of the Young Money team.” A couple of years ago, Gunz answered the call from Wayne to lay a verse on “A Milli,” though Gunz’s rhymes never made it on the album. The two apparently ran into each other last week in Miami and talked about officially joining forces, but a formal deal has not yet been completed. Gunz tweeted over the weekend, “LOL. Young Money!!!!!!” Wayne, who has been tweeting frequently and posting other Ustreams over the weekend, is expected to be sentenced to a year in prison on gun possession charges. Jeezy says Thug Motivation 103 will be ‘special.’ By Shaheem Reid Young Jeezy Photo: MTV News Young Jeezy said getting Plies on his new record “Lose My Mind” is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to guest spots on his upcoming LP, Thug Motivation 103. “I was hoping ‘Lose My Mind’ was gonna have people on [their toes], because there was no telling what I’m gonna do,” Jeezy said. “Let it be known, this album will be special and have some special features on it. I don’t wanna let the cat out the bag. “But June, by the way,” he said of the LP’s release date. “That’s what I’m thinking. If you the boss, you can talk like that. I’m thinking June. I wanna own the summer. If you coming out [with an album] in June, you might wanna think about that, bruh. TM103, I will be there.” Young has had sessions with producers from Kanye West to Swizz Beatz, but he promised that he’s going to have one of the guys who helped build the foundation of his sound: Shawty Redd. Redd was arrested on New Year’s Day for murder, but the producer’s legal problems have not stopped him from working with Young. “Ah, man. I don’t like to give it up,” he said when asked to explain one song on the album. “I got this song with Shawty Redd called ‘Let Me Handle My Business.’ The beat is … matter of fact, I’m not going to sell it like that. Shawty Redd, Young Jeezy, you know what it is. I’m just going in, basically handling my business. I gotta say what’s on my mind. But I’m not here to sell you on no album. Like I said, June, you will be surprised, homie. That’s real talk. I been working on this. I been back in the lab. … I got you.” Jeezy is currently on the road with Jay-Z and Trey Songz for the Blueprint 3 Tour. On Tuesday night, Jeezy stole the show, bringing out Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake as surprise guests.

Jay-Z Feels The Hometown Love At Madison Square Garden Show

Jay gets some help from Young Jeezy, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj and other special guests. By Shaheem Reid Jay-Z performs at Madison Square Garden Tuesday Photo: Bryan Bedder/ Getty Images NEW YORK — There is always palpable exhilaration whenever Jay-Z plays Madison Square Garden. Tuesday night (March 2) was another sold-out show at MSG as Hov’s Blueprint 3 Tour arrived in town. After Trey Songz played up to the ladies with his set, there was a short intermission. Like lightning — boom! The Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” video began playing on two big screens that hung over the stage, and a 10-minute countdown began perfectly in sync with the classic hip-hop track. Hova chants started several minutes prior to that. Finally, with no time left on the clock, Jay’s music began. He was greeted with a deafening roar of approval. “Feel it coming in the air,” Rihanna’s recorded voice from “Run This Town” blasted through the arena. Jay rose from underneath the stage, rolling his head around his shoulders like a young Mike Tyson getting ready for a prize fight. Jay, like Tyson in the ’80s knows he’s a dominant force in any ring, any arena, but especially at the Garden, he’s unstoppable. Jay then brought out Memphis Bleek and told his former neighbor in the Marcy Projects he wanted him to see something special. Like a wizard, Jigga waved his hand around the arena and made fans scream. “I wanna be careful how I phrase this, because it’s one of my heroes,” Jay said. “Madison Square Garden used to be Run’s House. But ‘Run’s House’ is now on MTV. Madison Square Garden is now ‘The House That Hov Built.’ ” His assertion was backed up with triumphant showings of “On to the Next One,” “U Don’t Know,” “99 Problems” and “Show Me What You Got.” “Empire State of Mind” felt special in the Garden. Jay’s performance of the record filled the arena with hometown pride. It’s the closest feeling the crowd at the Garden will get to the Knicks winning the championship … at least until LeBron James signs with the team next year (fingers crossed). James was in attendance, along with his Cleveland Cavaliers teammate Shaquille O’Neal, Rick Ross, Gwyneth Paltrow, Diddy and Cash Money Records CEO the Birdman. Birdman was on hand to cheer on his “son” Lil Wayne. Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj had the show-stealing moment as part of Young Jeezy’s set. The Snowman also brought out Akon. Jeezy came out about 40 minutes into Jay’s show, and the two did “Real as It Gets” from Blueprint 3. After handing Jeezy the keys to MSG for a while, Jay came back and traded rhymes with his Southern partner on the remixes of “Put On” and “My President.” Trey Songz came out with Jay as well to help out on “Heart of the City” and “Already Home.” The Blueprint 3 Tour stopped with an “overtime” session that saw Jay take his fans back as far as the Reasonable Doubt days with “Ain’t No N—a” and “Can I Live.” “Am I going too far back? This moment is only for us,” he added of himself and fans of his first LP. Hov then brought it up a few years for “Big Pimpin’,” with Jay urging everyone to wave whatever they had from rags to bandanas to hats in the air, Carnivale-style. “I don’t take it for granted,” Jay said of the fan love. “I appreciate everyone in the building tonight. Thank you, and I hope we return the love tenfold. The legendary MC then asked to do one more record: “Encore.” Hov is going to be in the Tri-State Area with a few shows during these next two weeks. He plays Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel as well as the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island next week. Lil Wayne Joins Young Jeezy Onstage During Jay-Z’s NYC Show

Weezy, who was supposed to be sentenced to prison Tuesday, was also joined by Young Money’s Drake and Nicki Minaj. By Shaheem Reid Lil Wayne (file) Photo: Frank Micelotta/ Getty Images Jay-Z has said that Madison Square Garden should be called “The House That Hovie Built,” but on Tuesday night (March 2), Young Jeezy was the one who startled the sold-out Blueprint 3 Tour crowd by pulling the trump card that tore the roof off. The Snowman called out Young Money artists Nicki Minaj and Drake, as well as the label’s CEO, Lil Wayne. Jeezy came out about 45 minutes into Jay-Z’s set to perform “Real as It Gets.” Hov then turned the reins over to Jeezy, who threw out a few of his street-approved rhymes, like his verse on Shawty Lo’s “Dey Know.” Jeezy told the crowd that his friend Lil Wayne was supposed to go to jail that day , but a courthouse fire delayed his sentencing on weapons charges once again. Jeezy said he wanted to bring someone out to dedicate a record to him. Nicki Minaj then came out and did her verse from “Bedrock.” After the song, Jeezy told Nicki to stay, and the beat for “I’m Goin’ In” came on. Lil Wayne then emerged from the mini-stage where Jay’s Roc Boys band was playing and jumped on the main stage with Jeezy. The concertgoers — who were already on their feet — gave the New Orleans native a phenomenal response. Wayne’s face lit up as he rapped his verse. Drake then came out, breaking the night’s all-black dress code by wearing all white instead. The crowd gave Drizzy loud approval during his verse. Young Jeezy closed the song out, and all three men yelled the chorus: “I’m goin’ in, I’m goin’ in, and I’mma go hard!” “Jeezy, you a real n—a,” Wayne said, saluting the Snowman. “We with you 100 percent,” Young told Wayne. Jeezy told the fans to make some noise for Wayne and Young Money, which they were already doing. From there, the Atlanta rapper dug into his catalog with thumpers such as “Crazy World,” “Go Crazy” and “Go Getta.” Jeezy closed out his set by bringing out another guest, Akon, for “Soul Survivor.” Related Videos Lil Wayne’s ‘Road To Rikers’ Related Photos Lil Wayne Heads To Rikers Island Related Artists Lil Wayne Jay-Z

The-Dream And Christina Milian Welcome Baby Girl

Violet was born Friday, a source close to the couple confirms to MTV News. By Hillary Crosley The-Dream and Christina Milian Photo: Todd Williamson/ Getty Images Last week, R&B singer/songwriter The-Dream told MTV News that his baby with wife Christina Milian would be arriving over the weekend. He was almost right: Milian gave birth to daughter Violet on Friday, a source close to the couple confirmed. “It’s a girl,” The-Dream said excitedly last week. “Violet will be her first name. I’m not telling you the middle name; you’re gonna get me in trouble.” Still, The-Dream said it’s business as usual in their household. “I’ve been working like a regular person works in America. They have jobs whether someone’s pregnant or not,” he laughed. The singer said he’s finished recording his upcoming album, Love King (the title track of which recently leaked), and said the song isn’t about being a ladies’ man, like many believe. “On ‘Love King,’ I’m talking about those girls that like my music and how they’re everywhere,” he said. “They’re the girls in church, girls in the club, in Miami — my music’s everywhere. I don’t mean that I have girls everywhere; it’s not literal, but women do gravitate to my songs.” The-Dream is currently preparing to shoot two clips for his single: the original version, featuring Def Jam labelmate Young Jeezy, followed by a remix with Ludacris. “We’re shooting the videos in two weeks,” he said. “The remix to ‘Love King’ with Ludacris, which is crazy, it sounds like a ’90s Jodeci remix, with their type of big harmonies on the hook. You’ll get what I’m saying when you hear it. It’s the swing.” Related Photos Before They Got Hitched: The-Dream & Christina Milian Star Gazing: Christina Milian Related Artists Christina Milian The-Dream
