Dwayne Johnson really wants to make sure you know what he may be cooking up for his future. Several months after rumors first circulated that the actor may run for President in 2020 , Johnson spoke to GQ and confirmed that the really is considering this possibility. Explains the magazine’s latest cover subject: “A year ago, it started coming up more and more. “There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think, ‘Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful.” Johnson first broached this seemingly ridiculous topic upon being crowned Sexiest Man Alive by People last year. “I started to really think,” he told the publication in November, adding of his mindset: “Could I make a difference? Could I surround myself with really brilliant people to help me make decisions? Do I care about this country? “And when the answers continued to come up yes, then I thought, there’s a good chance.” If you’re thinking this sounds utterly preposterous, due to Johnson’s lack of political experience, consider two things: His finishing move as a WWE Superstar was named The People’s Elbow. Donald Trump is currently President. Both Trump and Hillary Clinton asked Johnson for his endorsement last year, he says. And while this doesn’t make him a qualified candidate on its own, it does make him realize that folks out there care about his opinion. “I feel like I’m in a position now where my word carries a lot of weight and influence, which of course is why they want the endorsement,” Johnsol tells GQ. “But I also have a tremendous amount of respect for the process and felt like if I did share my political views publicly, a few things would happen.” Such as? “I felt like it would either (a) make people unhappy with the thought of whatever my political view was. And, also, it might sway an opinion, which I didn’t want to do.” This is why Johnson turned down all overtures for an endorsement last election. But in light of all that’s happened in just over 100 days since Trump took office, Johnson has a lot to think about. He’s already an expert at giving political responses. Just consider the way he refuses to overtly slam Trump when asked for his take by GQ, simply saying instead: “Personally, I feel that if I were president, poise would be important. Leadership would be important. Taking responsibility for everybody. “[If I didn’t agree with someone] on something, I wouldn’t shut them out. I would actually include them.” Based on the results of November’s election, someone with this attitude will never be elected to The White House. Why Olympic Fencer Miles Chamley-Watson Is The Luckiest Guy In The World Right Now We just want our girl RihRih to be happy! !! Now she’s being linked to US Olympic Fencer Miles Chamley-Watson, who was seated at the ame Met Gala with Rih and kept the party poppin’ with her after the Gala was over. Sure, there’s the occasional story about a record-breaking payday for an actor or athlete, but generally, when the whole world is talking about your bank account, it’s because they can’t fathom how someone who started with so much wound up with so little. For the past few months, rumors that Johnny Depp is broke have been circulating in the tabloids and on social media. It’s almost impossible to imagine Depp being anything other than fabulously wealthy, what with his decades A-list star and essential role in popularizing one of Hollywood’s longest-running franchises, but the rumors of his penury come from a reliable source – namely, court documents in a pair of increasingly ugly lawsuits. Back in February, Depp sued his management group (the imaginatively-titled The Management Group), accusing them of mishandling his funds and failing to alert him that he was on the verge of bankruptcy. TMG counter-sued, alleging that Depp’s public complaints were damaging their brand, and accusing the actor of spending himself into relative poverty. The group cited such lavish expenditures as a $30,000 a month wine budget and Depp’s decision to spend $3 million on a custom ash cannon to fire the remains of his friend Hunter S. Thompson into the atmosphere. Hilariously, Depp corrected that figure in a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal – explaining that the cannon actually cost $5 million. But while Depp was occasionally self-deprecating in the interview, he spent much of it going off on the firm that he blames for his dire financial straits. “Why didn’t they drop me as a client if I was so out of control?” Depp told the paper. “I’ve worked very, very hard for a lot of years and trusted a lot of people, some who’ve clearly let me down.” TMG is now firing back, using Depp’s own words against him in a statement issued to USA Today: The firm calls Depp “habitual liar who denies responsibility for his own outrageous conduct and coerces others to lie for him.” “Johnny Depp and his sister were involved in every significant business decision during the 17 years TMG represented him,” the statement said. “Depp now admits to his extravagant spending but blames TMG for not dropping him as a client.” Depp has yet to respond to the comments, and it’s likely that he’ll simply let his lawyers do the talking for him. If you watch Teen Mom 2 online , then by now you’re probably already aware that Kailyn Lowry is pregnant. Of course, her third pregnancy has been featured on the show yet, but fans have turned it into their own social media soap opera that now overshadows the events of last season. Most of the online scrutiny has to do with the identity of Kailyn’s baby daddy . Fan theories range from the plausible (It’s probably Chris Lopez.) to the sublimely ridiculous. (There’s a rumor that Kailyn is pregnant by rapper Peter Gunz .) But today there’s a new Kailyn rumor making the rounds, and for once, it has nothing to do with the question of who knocked her up. According to Radar Online, L owry already has a plastic surgery session scheduled for after she gives birth. News of the appointment comes from Dr. Michael Salzhauer, aka Dr. Miami, the same surgeon who performed Kailyn’s Brazilian butt lift back in January of 2016. “Kailyn is scheduling to have plastic surgery with me after she has this baby,” Salzhauer tells Radar. Citing doctor-patient confidentiality (which he already kinda blew by talking about the appointment at all), Salzhauer refused to go into specifics with regard to what procedures Kailyn is planning to undergo. But tellingly, he did spend a lot of time talking about the relationship between “There is a myth that you can only have a tummy tuck once you are done having kids,” he spilled. “But it’s not really true. You can have a tummy tuck after your first kid and if you get pregnant you can have another one. The body is amazingly elastic.” So there you have it. We think it’s safe to say Kailyn will be undergoing a tummy tuck following her third pregnancy. Obviously, she’s not alone, as the majority of the stars of the Teen Mom franchise have had some sort of work done over the years. It’s been a good few years for TV revivals, huh? Netflix has brought back shows like Arrested Development and Full House, as well as the limited run of Gilmore Girls, and various television networks are reviving The X-Files , Twin Peaks, and Will & Grace. Considering all that, it’s easy to look back at some of the best TV shows of yesteryear and think about which ones deserve another shot, you know? And few shows could use another go-round as much as Roseanne. Roseanne, the blue collar sitcom created by legendary comedian Roseanne Barr, ran for nine seasons, from 1988 to 1997. It was full of great moments, great actors … all in all, it really was a wonderful show. And that’s why, joy of all joys, a revival is in the works ! The new series will last for eight episodes, with Roseanne and Sara Gilbert, who played Roseanne’s daughter Darlene, signed on as executive producers. Roseanne, Sara, and John Goodman are the only actors signed onto the project so far, with other stars like Laurie Metcalf and Johnny Galecki still in negotiations. Right now there’s no official deal, but networks like ABC and Netflix are bidding on the rights to the revival. It’s all so exciting, right? And honestly, it’s a little confusing, too. For one, John Goodman is returning, but — spoiler alert — his character died in the series finale. Or, well, actually he died in the season 8 finale, but in the series finale Roseanne revealed that the entire final season had been a figment of her imagination, which went into overdrive as she mourned the loss of her husband. She also explained that several elements of the series weren’t actually true: her sister, Jackie, was a lesbian, and her daughters had really ended up with each other’s spouses. See what we mean about it being confusing? To add another element of confusion, in a 2009 blog post, Roseanne gave an update on where she felt the characters would be today. In the post, she said that the Roseanne character, along with Jackie, opened up Landford, Illinois’ first medical marijuana dispensary, saving the house from foreclosure (remember, they never won the lottery). She wrote that “David leaves Darlene for a woman half his age,” then “Darlene meets a woman and they have a test tube baby,” which doesn’t take into account that in the finale she said that David actually ended up with Becky. (And also David would never .) Becky “works at Walmart,” and Mark “dies in Iraq,” which is especially tragic since the actor that played Mark, Glenn Quinn, died from a heroin overdose in 2002. DJ “gets published,” and Dan, who supposedly died of a heart attack at Darlene’s wedding? He “shows up alive after faking his death.” It would be bizarre if the revival followed this storyline, but Roseanne is the show’s creator, and it would explain how John Goodman is signed on to return. But really, whatever happens, we’re definitely looking forward to a return of Roseanne. Especially if it somehow eases the pain and confusion of that last season. There’s no contest with regard to the most memorable moment from the 2017 Academy Awards , That title goes to the jaw-dropping “Steve Harvey moment” that ended the night, as presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway mistakenly announced La La Land as Best Picture , when the award actually belonged to Moonlight. But while that epic goof-up might be grabbing the majority of today’s headlines, it wasn’t the only controversial moment surrounding one of the night’s top prizes. Casey Affleck took home the Best Actor Oscar for his heart-wrenching performance in Manchester By the Sea, but not everyone was thrilled to see the 41-year-old step out from under his older brother’s shadow. The dark cloud of some heinous sexual harassment accusations loomed large over Affleck’s Oscar campaign, and many felt the actor should be removed from consideration as a result. The alleged incidents took place in 2010, while Affleck was directing the mockumentary film I’m Still Here with his then-brother-in-law, Joaquin Phoenix. The matter was settled out of court, but Affleck’s accusers maintain that he abused his power and persistently subjected them to harassment and other inappropriate behavior. As is customary, Affleck’s award was presented by Brie Larson, who took home the Best Actress prize for Room at last year’s awards. Larson played a sexual assault survivor in the film and she’s been an outspoken advocate for victims’ rights throughout her career. Needless to say, the Academy’s decision to put her in a position where she would be presenting an award to an alleged sexual predator didn’t sit well with many viewers. Larson’s apparent disdain for Affleck, however, was widely praised: Casey Affleck Wins Best Actor Many noted that Larson didn’t applaud when Affleck received his award, and it’s being widely interpreted as the actress’ way of subtly protesting the win. “Y’all made Brie Larson, an advocate for sexual assault survivors, present Casey Affleck, a sexual predator, with an Oscar,” tweeted one viewer. Another wrote simply: “BRIE LARSON NOT CLAPPING IS MY HERO” Affleck’s nomination sparked countless debates about where the arts community should draw the line in terms of behavior so inexcusable that it should end a career. That debate will likely rage on following his win last night. But at least those who were outraged by Affleck’s victory can take solace in knowing that however subtle her understated her show of disapproval may have been, Brie Larson made her feelings known on the night’s biggest stage.
