True Blood Stars Get Naked, Bloody, Cover Rolling Stone

They’re hot. They’re sexy. They’re undead. And they’re covering the latest issue of Rolling Stone . True Blood stars Alexander Skarsgard, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer bare almost all for this iconic magazine, which really should come as no surprise to anyone that watches this HBO smash. It features more gore than the White House between 1992 and 2000; and more nudity than the movie collection of Montana Fishburne . Check out the show’s main trio of sexy stars below.

Awesome Bookmaker Says Natalie Portman is Odds-On Favorite for Dragon Tattoo

You know that Sony and David Fincher eventually will need to cast a female lead for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo , and so, as with anything, an enterprising bookie with a vague knowledge of trade rumors and actresses known to wear short hair has made a list of favorites worth betting on as Lisbeth Salander D-day approaches. Bring your rabbit’s foot (and a robust grain of salt) and meet me after the jump.

New Romantics Trailer Remembers to Showcase Katies Holmes

Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark might have been scared of featuring Katie Holmes in its marketing materials, but The Romantics certainly isn’t — Mrs. Tom Cruise appears in almost every shot of the newly released trailer. Though since the film looks like a warmed-over version of Rachel Getting Married recast with television actors, perhaps Holmes should be the one worrying.

Would You Pay $800,000 for a Censored Rerun of True Blood?

When HBO sold Sex and the City into syndication, pundits scoffed that there wouldn’t be much left in the episodes after timid basic-cable edits, but with some prudent trimming of Kim Cattrall’s most salacious scenes, the reruns did big business on TBS without too much of an outcry. Still, can HBO stablemate True Blood possibly survive to a syndicated version bowdlerized of its sex and violence — and is the network asking too much for it?

Does Horrible Bosses Break The Rule of Too Many Movie Stars?

Despite the fact that this was The Slowest News Day of 2010 v.2 , there was a bit of somewhat exciting trade news to pass along. The Kevin Spacey comeback tour has found a new stop: Horrible Bosses , the Strangers on a Train -like all-star comedy from director Seth Gordon. Spacey will play one of the titular bosses, alongside Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell; line-cutting denier Jason Bateman , Jason Sudekis and Charlie Day will play the three friends conspiring to kill said bosses; Donald Sutherland will show up too; and Jamie Foxx appears as someone named “Motherf*cker Jones,” the man who helps the friends consummate their plot. Were Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Alba not available?

True Blood Sex and Violence Meter: Let’s Twist Again, Like We Did Last Summer

It’s become a True Blood tradition: a few episodes into the season, Michael Lehmann will direct an installment featuring a wild sex scene that leaves everyone talking. Last year, it involved a Bon Temps Burning Man festival where outside, women smeared their boobs with dirt while inside, Mehcad Brooks impressively tried to steal the show’s rear acreage crown from Ryan Kwanten. How did this season’s episode compare? Let’s just say that there was a head-turning moment that made the sex and violence tallies shoot way, way up.

Introducing the True Blood ‘Sex and Violence’ Meter

Much is made of True Blood’s willingness to push the envelope when it comes to sex and violence, but which does the show give more screen time to? Each week during the Movieline recap of HBO’ s vampire series, we’ll tally points for sexual content (sample activities: Jason Stackhouse getting laid again, or Pam lurking in the background with an outfit that makes her look like a rubber fetishist from a mid-90’s episode of Real Sex ) and violence (even a particularly vicious comment from Lafayette or Tara could count for this, depending on Arlene’s wounded, crumple-face reaction), then declare a winner. So who came out ahead in last night’s third season premiere?

Anna Paquin on Bisexual Announcement: D’uh!

In an April PSA, Anna Paquin came out as a bisexual . The True Blood cast member has since received a lot of praise from gay rights organizations and the LGBT community. But Paquin recently said that she doesn’t even see the big deal. It was her responsibility as a human being to speak out. “I’m not someone who endlessly talks about her personal life for no reason, but obviously, as someone who identifies as bisexual, those are issues I really care about – and frankly, I don’t see why everyone doesn’t care about them,” the actress told Zap2it, adding: “So when I was asked to participate in that PSA, it was just an obvious, ‘Well, of course I will.'” Paquin, who is engaged to True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer, continued: “It wasn’t like it was a big secret. It was just a cause I cared about and privately supported, but not one that I had ever had an opportunity to speak out about in a way that would be useful. Obviously I know that one person’s voice doesn’t necessarily do that much, but I just wanted to do my bit.” You gotta admire that, don’t you? The star doesn’t see herself as any kind of revolutionary. She simply wonders: How can any person with a heart sit idly by while the rights of others are infringed upon? We couldn’t agree more.
