I knew the guys would be fighting each other, but had NO IDEA they would take it as seriously as they did. It seemed as if they were taking out some hidden aggression on each other! Casey Anthony Motion to Dismiss Case: Denied!

After the prosecution rested in the Casey Anthony trial, the judge denied the defense’s motion for acquittal on the Florida woman’s murder charge. Judge Belvin Perry said the state presented “substantial, competent evidence” that Anthony’s daughter Caylee was slain and she was responsible. The defense now must proceed with its case on Thursday. Anthony faces three charges, including first-degree premeditated murder. She had no reaction in the Orlando court when the motion was denied. Her attorney, Cheney Mason, had argued that prosecutors failed to present evidence that a murder had even occurred, premeditated or otherwise. “There has been no evidence of premeditation,” the lawyer said . “There has been a stacking of inferences. A stacking of speculation. No evidence.” “There is no evidence to suggest when she died, where she died, how she died, who if anyone was in attendance with her when she died.” The state, he added, established only that “the child is dead.” In denying the motion to toss the case, the judge begged to differ and concluded there is compelling evidence Caylee Anthony was murdered . Her mother, while innocent until proven guilty, is on trial for a reason. Assistant State Attorney Linda Drane Burdick argues that Caylee Anthony died as a result of “three pieces of duct tape applied to her nose and mouth, as a result of poisoning by chloroform [and] as a result of a combination of the two.” Gruesome stuff to say the least.

The Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert is happily engaged, according to new reports. Who’s the lucky guy? That you’ll have to wait ’til August 1 to find out … or read The Bachelorette spoilers we’ve posted that have been 100 percent true so far . In any case, it’s good to hear the happy news, seeing as Ashley Hebert nearly lost hope after Bentley Williams stabbed her in the heart. Figuratively that is. This week’s Life & Style cover story says that Ashley did shake off Bentley’s betrayal eventually, and is engaged to the man she gave her final rose to. On a secluded Fiji island May 13, the last remaining hopeful got down on one knee and proposed with a stunning diamond ring (Neil Lane, obvi). “Ashley’s elated,” an insider reveals to the celebrity gossip publication. “She’s engaged to the winner and is now wearing her engagement ring.” “I’m happy with the way things turned out for me,” Ashley says. This is no Brad-Emily situation, either. Weeks after filming has wrapped, “she’s definitely still in the relationship,” confirms a Bachelorette insider. “She says she’s really happy.” while the couple must keep their relationship under wraps until the Bachelorette finale, the lucky winner can’t stop gushing about Ashley, either! “He said, ‘I’m in such a great place in my life, and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been,'” a show insider says. “He’s the sweetest guy, and he’s very sensitive. He had his heart broken in the past, but he loves being in a relationship.” “He and Ashley have such great chemistry. Laurel Kagay: Brad Womack Proposed to Me Last Summer!

Brad Womack has played the role of a commitment-phone turned “changed man” well on this season of The Bachelor, his second in the starring capacity. But if the Texan does get down on one knee and propose to Chantal O’Brien, Emily Maynard, Ashley Hebert or Michelle Money, it won’t be the first time. At least according to Laurel Kagay, his on-off girlfriend of eight years. She tells Us that Brad asked to marry her several times – including last summer! DOUBLE LIFE : Laurel raises some pretty serious questions if what she says about Brad is true. But was there even any deception involved on his part? “Even when we weren’t together, he’d say how much he loved me and was going to marry me,” says Laurel, noting that Brad proposed right before The Bachelor . After spending the summer trying to woo her back , making comments to the effect of “I will marry you right now,” he left to star on the ABC show a second time. THG NOTE : If Laurel Kagay looks familiar, it’s because she also dated Wes Hayden, and was his rumored “girl back home” while he was on The Bachelorette . Wes denied he and Laurel were an item at the time of the show, despite a major hatchet job by the producers (and Jake Pavelka) to convince us otherwise. Regardless of what happened there, she and Brad were serious. Even after he left to film the show last fall, Brad Womack continued to send Kagay emails. Now that Womack is telling the world he’s found love this time around ( The Bachelor spoilers here offer a good guess at who), Kagay wants to warn her. “I’m sure the girl he picked would want to know he was proposing to another woman right before he started taping,” she says. “I would want to know.” What do you think? Lindsay Lohan: A History of Thievery

Lindsay Lohan will be formally charged and arraigned today in court after a stunt in which she allegedly ripped off an expensive necklace from a jewelry store. While the star claims it’s just a misunderstanding (isn’t it always?), the L.A. County District Attorney believes Lindsay Lohan is a “seasoned” fashion thief. That’s the primary reason why the actress is being prosecuted for felony grand theft, and you can expect her history in this shady arena to be on full display. REPEAT OFFENDER : The D.A. will try to paint her as such, and there are certainly enough incidents from which to make a case. [Photo: Pacific Coast News] In deciding whether to prosecute Lohan, the D.A.’s Office heavily considered THREE OTHER INCIDENTS where Lindsay allegedly pilfered expensive items : She was accused of stealing a $12,000 coat in 2008 from an NYC club. She was suspected of taking a $400,000 necklace in 2009 from Elle. She was accused of taking a $35,000 Rolex from a “friend” in 2010. Lindsay was not prosecuted or convicted for any of the above, but they show a pattern, and that undisputed fact played a role in pushing the 2011 case. Prosecutors will ask the judge to admit the three incidents into evidence to show “prior bad acts” if the case goes to trial, as well as two other factors: Lindsay’s repeated run-ins with the law, including two DUIs. Lindsay’s repeated disregard for legal system by failing to perform probation requirements (not going to alcohol ed class, etc), blowing off court (trip to Cannes, etc), and just being an ass (the f–k you nails , etc). Most importantly, the D.A. has a surveillance video which shows Lindsay walking out of a Venice, Calif., jewelry store with the $2,500 piece in question. The necklace is partially hidden by other trinkets around Lindsay’s neck. Lohan will be arraigned today at 1:30 p.m. California time. Stay tuned …

Ashley Hebert Bikini Picture: From The Bachelor to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue!

In a cross-promotional effort somewhere between awesome and terrible, Monday’s episode of The Bachelor will feature a date with Brad Womack in which three of the remaining ladies will pose for the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue! Move over, Brooklyn Decker. Make room for Ashley Hebert … Don’t get us wrong. Ashley, Chantal O’Brien and Michelle Money are all attractive girls worthy of inclusion. But c’mon, we’re talking about The Bachelor , people. The SI swimsuit issue may have jumped the shark with this PR stunt, desperate to make a splash (pun intended) in the Free-Internet-Pics-of-Hot-Girls era. Nevertheless, you can’t deny that Michelle Money, for all her psycho stalker antics, has a ridiculous body she will flaunt in this setting. Chantal isn’t far behind. Ashley Hebert doesn’t have the same swimsuit model figure you normally see in SI, but is still a bona fide cutie by any measure, as the pic above proves. Her fun-loving spirit comes across well … and just forget what we said in the previous sentence. She looks like she has a dancer’s body and looks amazing. Interestingly, earlier previews for this episode may have been designed to try to throw off The Bachelor spoilers , as it was made out to look like the finale. Chantal laments that Brad Womack can’t choose her as “one of three girls.” But it’s not the end. There are still six remaining at this stage of the game. Here’s a sneak peek of the episode, in which Brad Womack gets the grumpy girls out of bed at 2 a.m. to go on this date. Oh, it will be quite worth it, girls.
