‘As soon as Taylor ripped off his shirt, we all tried to yell as much as possible,’ he laughs to MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jackson Rathbone Photo: MTV News In addition to the whole fame-and-fortune package that comes with being a member of the “Twilight” cast, one of the additional benefits is that you get to see the finished film before anyone else. When MTV News caught up with “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” star Jackson Rathbone recently, we asked him to talk about his first-time viewing experience. “I got a nice little private screening,” Rathbone said. “There were about six [castmembers] in the theater. I was saying, ‘This is what it would be like watching “Twilight” if no one liked it,’ ” he joked. “If it had failed, that’s exactly what it would have been like: six people in the theater.” In all seriousness, however, Rathbone said he and his co-stars had a lot of fun watching the film together and interacting with the screen. “As soon as Taylor [Lautner] ripped off his shirt, we all tried to yell as much as possible to supplement the lack of little teenage girls [screaming],” he said. “It was fun. We had a good time with it. Nikki [Reed] and I were making fun of each other the whole movie. Any time one of us would come onscreen, we’d poke each other,” he said with a laugh. In addition to those swoon-worthy shirtless moments, Lautner has promised us that we’ll be shedding some tears. “You are going to face a lot of emotions, definitely,” he teased. “You are going to be angry. I guarantee you [that] you will cry multiple times.” Tonight, join MTV.com live from the “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” red-carpet premiere as we talk to your favorite stars about all things “Twilight”! Kristen Stewart is about to give birth. On screen, that is. To a half-human/half-vampire baby. What was filming this key Breaking Dawn scene like? “I was so excited, actually,” Stewart told Jimmy Kimmel on Friday about shooting this major Twilight Saga event. “It is so intense, as a normal birth would be, but this is even more so.” The actress – who will also star in Snow White and the Huntsman , a summer blockbuster whose first trailer you can view HERE – was also asked about the honor of having her hands and footprints cemented outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Watch her talk about that and other topics in the two videos below. Kristen Stewart on Jimmy Kimmel Live: Part One Kristen Stewart on Jimmy Kimmel Live: Part Two
‘You don’t always get times that you have to articulate this stuff, so it’s actually good to think about,’ typically media-shy actress tells MTV News. By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart Photo: MTV News It’s no secret that fan fervor surrounding the “Twilight” franchise is intense. What that means for the stars is, of course, a lot of interviews, tours and appearances in various cities and countries leading up to the blockbuster films. When we caught up with Kristen Stewart as she promoted the latest “Twilight Saga” entry, “Breaking Dawn- Part 1,” we asked if she’s looking forward to the day when her “Twilight” duties come to an end. “Sure, but at the same time, these things are so rare and sporadically intense that part of it is easy to [do],” she said. “I have to force myself to enjoy it — not force myself because it’s hard, but acknowledge that I am enjoying [the moment] rather than going, ‘God, this is so crazy.’ ” Stewart said that despite what people may think, she genuinely enjoys doing interviews. “I like talking about these movies. When you’re actually talking about the movies, I have a really good time with it,” she admitted. “You don’t always get times that you have to articulate this stuff, so it’s actually good to think about.” Stewart’s co-star Robert Pattinson has said that all the attention he receives now serves the very important purpose of keeping him honest about himself — to a point. “You have to confront your insecurities quite a lot, and I have plenty, plenty of insecurities,” he said about being an actor and having to question his chosen profession. “Even more [now]. Before, you could kind of bullsh– yourself all the time. If no one cares about you, you can be like, ‘I’m the greatest person in the whole world.’ You can be completely delusional.” On Monday, join MTV.com live from the “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” red-carpet premiere as we talk to your favorite stars about all things “Twilight”! ‘The One That Got Away’ has us looking back at memorable music-video romances. By Jocelyn Vena Diego Luna and Katy Perry in “The One That Got Away” music video Photo: Jive Katy Perry and Diego Luna are falling in and out of love in the Floria Sigismondi-directed clip for Perry’s track “The One That Got Away,” which debuts Friday (November 11). Perry’s casting of the Mexican movie star hardly marks the first time that pop has solicited a big-name actor for the lead in a music video. Some of the biggest A-listers in La La Land have done their time in the world of music videos. The new millennium has seen many a star play supporting roles in some of the biggest love-story-based videos to hit the streets in the last decade. In honor of Luna and Perry’s hookup for her video, we’re shouting out some of the most memorable video love affairs to grace our small screens in recent history. Jennifer Love Hewitt and Enrique Iglesias in “Hero,” featuring Mickey Rourke In the cinematic 2001 clip, Hewitt and Iglesias play runaway lovers who happen to steal some cash from the wrong guy, played by Rourke. He follows the star-crossed bandits to a highway, where he confronts them, and one of them meets a terrible fate. Stephen Dorff and Britney Spears in “Everytime” Back in 2004, Spears documented the perils of life and romance in the public eye in this somewhat dark clip that features Dorff as her boyfriend. The video caused some controversy back then because Spears appears to drown in a bathtub (by choice? by accident?) in it, much to the dismay of Dorff’s character, who tirelessly tries to revive her. Scarlett Johansson and Justin Timberlake in “What Goes Around … Comes Around” In 2007, ScarJo may have had Justin ‘s heart in this video, but she wanted a piece of everyone else’s as well. In the end, their relationship couldn’t sustain all that strife and things end quite tragically for one Ms. Johansson. Miley Cyrus and Kevin Zegers in Rock Mafia’s “The Big Bang” In 2010, Miley hooked up with onetime “Gossip Girl” star Kevin Zegers to weave together a love story that takes place perhaps only in Zegers’ mind. As an apparition, Cyrus haunts Zegers, reminding him of the great love they once shared. Dominic Monaghan and Megan Fox in Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie” Sexy, dark and dangerous sums up the love affair between the former “Lost” star and the action heroine in this 2010 video. Heavily inspired by the lyrics of the track, the video looks at a relationship driven by violence. What video couple is your favorite? Tell us in the comments! ‘It’s not a beginning-to-end sex scene; it’s memories,’ she tells MTV News. By Kara Warner with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit Entertainment There is so much hype surrounding the “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” sex scene between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan that we probably won’t ever be able to stop writing about it. The fans demand it! Lucky for us, the stars in question keep talking about it as well, so we’re all able to revel in the warm romantic (after?) glow for a little while longer. When MTV News caught up with Kristen Stewart recently, we asked what her reaction was when she finally saw the intense scene play out on the big screen. “I think, for me, it really reflects what I felt when I was reading the book,” Stewart said. “It’s funny, because it’s not in the book. It’s totally just what you imagine in between those chapters, but without it, because you imagine it, it leads you to — it picks up right after, and then sort of really indulges in memory. And so I think that’s how you see it. It’s not a beginning-to-end sex scene; it’s memories, it’s nice. So because of that, I never really got to shoot, we didn’t shoot a sex scene; it was all close-ups and such.” Stewart’s steamy scene partner Robert Pattinson had a little more fun talking about the filming of their scene, in that he was happy to fulfill fans’ sexual fantasies with his acting. “That’s the one time where I have felt kind of like the coolest person,” Pattinson said of filming the scene. “[I thought] this is easy! I can fulfill people’s sexual fantasy expectations without even thinking about it, piece of cake. That isn’t acting,” he joked. “The only thing [that was difficult] is the vanity aspect,” Pattinson continued. “Taylor [Lautner] just ruined the whole series for me. As soon as he buffed up, I went, ‘Well, I’m throwing in the towel’ on ‘New Moon.’ ” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Does passing on peanuts really mean Kate Middleton is pregnant ? The pregnancy rumor mill began turning hard last week when the 29-year-old Duchess declined to sample peanut paste during a UNICEF visit to Denmark. Although Kate Middleton is not allergic to peanuts, pregnant women are often advised to avoid peanut products to prevent allergies in their babies-to-be. So … Naturally, coupled with the belly touching seen below, this sparked major royal baby speculation. But a royal insider says (shockingly) it may not be the case. “She’s not comfortable eating in front of cameras,” the insider said. “What if she didn’t like it and made a face? That expression would then be on every newspaper.” What a fair, valid and seemingly obvious explanation. No fun! A spokesman for the couple says that the policy is “to never confirm or deny [pregnancy] rumors,” but a palace insider insists: “If and when there is an announcement to make, officially, it will be made by the palace as soon as it’s safe to.” Long story short … don’t hold your breath for it anytime soon.
Kristen Stewart is about to give birth to a half-human/half-vampire baby whose very existence will have major ramifications across the globe. Then, she’s gonna kiss some ass. About six months after the November 18 release of Breaking Dawn , Stewart will take on the title role in Snow White and the Huntsman , which also stars Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron and is a dark re-telling of that iconic children’s fairy tale. Based on the first official trailer for this June 2012 blockbuster, though, you may wanna leave the kids at home for it. Check out the special effects. The action sequences. The awesome, scary villain. Seriously, this movie looks fantastic… Snow White and the Huntsman Trailer
