It Doesn’t Get Better: Richard Chamberlain Thinks Gay Actors Should Stay in the Closet

Much was made in recent weeks about the sexuality of John Travolta and Kevin Spacey , but whatever their preference, one actor thinks they should continue to keep that bit of personal information personal. “For an actor to be working is a kind of miracle, because most actors aren’t, so it’s just silly for a working actor to say, ‘Oh, I don’t care if anybody knows I’m gay’ — especially if you’re a leading man,” Richard Chamberlain told The Advocate . “Personally, I wouldn’t advise a gay leading man-type actor to come out.”

In a new interview with Now magazine, Robert Pattinson is asked about making out with his real-life girlfriend on camera and says: “When we start the kissing scenes, I forget we’re surrounded by a load of people. I actually end up getting really carried away. It’s only when the kiss is finished that my mind registers there’s actually a set full of people around, and I just walk away embarrassed.” For an early look at Robert and Kristen Stewart getting their first base on, check out these photos and also, if you missed it earlier in the week, this video: Breaking Dawn Kissing Scene As for those sex scenes that have Twilight Saga fans salivating? Pattinson says they’ll be hot, but they didn’t feel that way while shooting: “By the time you guys see the nude scenes it looks really erotic because it’s been edited and you’ll have music. What you don’t see is the eight camera men, the director and about 50 people on set.” That’s okay, Rob. Most readers saw the word “nude,” thought of you and stopped reading anyway.

By Jocelyn Vena Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Eclipse” Photo: Summit Can’t wait for the November 18, 2011 release of part one of “Breaking Dawn”? Well, on Thursday some bootleg footage of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart shooting scenes for the flick hit the Internet. The footage was shot in Brazil, where Bella and Edward’s honeymoon scenes take place. It shows the duo kneeling on a beach and sharing some unheard dialogue before kissing. They go through the scene a few times before they break and walk away from the spot where they’re shooting. Stewart is wearing a blue sweater over a bathing suit, while Pattinson sports a white tank top and shorts, an outfit visible in photographs posted online. While these aren’t official images from the film, last month an official photo from “Breaking Dawn” was released for public consumption. In it, Bella’s hand is holding feathers from a pillow that Edward destroyed while the pair had sex for the first time on Isle Esme. The two were also spotted kissing in Rio de Janeiro last month while shooting more scenes for the film. Despite all the sexiness that could take place in the finale, Summit has assured fans that the “Breaking Dawn” films won’t be rated R , instead opting to keep the action PG-13. The final installment of the “Twilight” franchise, “Breaking Dawn, Part 2,” is set for a November 2012 release , capping off four years and five films. Both parts of the final book are being directed by Bill Condon. “I’m Having a Baby.” – Jessica Simpson to Life & Style Of course, this is the star (if she’s even quoted) talking about future baby plans, rather than a story about Eric Johnson actually getting Jessica Simpson pregnant . If that happened, the headline would read “Jessica Simpson: Pregnant!” You don’t fool us, second-rate supermarket tabloid … MORNING SICKNESS: She was actually just sick one morning . Really. A couple of side notes on top of the blatantly misleading headline: That’s one of the worst Jessica Simpson pictures ever. The girl is hot, if nothing else. Show it … or at least use a pic of her with Eric. If Jennifer Aniston is really “baring it all,” why is there a stock photo, circa 2002, on the cover? Not exactly a compelling teaser. We already saw the first Breaking Dawn photo . Come on guys.

Since when is the main storyline in a best-selling novel and planned blockbuster considered “BREAKING NEWS?” Since a tabloid could slap the word “BABY!” alongside photos of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson and try to fool readers into thinking this real-life couple was expecting. We’re on to you, OK! Weekly … This isn’t the first time a trashy magazine has tried to claim Stewart was pregnant . Heck, it’s not even the second time . Publishers will only cease such antics when you, the consumer, stop buying their products. Rest assured: if Kristen ever actually gets knocked up with Robert’s baby, THG will be the first to tell you. For free.

They went for coffee in Brooklyn around 10:30 that morning and “were really really sweet,” said a witness. Elsewhere… Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green snapped a picture of themselves at Disney World. Glee star Dianna Agron and Alex Pettyfer partied at Groucho club in London. Kim Kardashian and Gabriel Aubry hung out together in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles. Lindsay Lohan dined with Samanta Ronson at the latter’s apartment.

Director Bill Condon has given Twilight Saga fans a major gift for Thanksgiving: The first photo from Breaking Dawn ! The film opens in less than a year, on November 18, 2011. While Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been photographed making out with each other in Brazil over the last couple weeks, this is the first actual image from the movie. So, what is it? What did Condon Tweet? Find out below! While rather vague to non-Twihards, anyone familiar with the story of Breaking Dawn can easily guess what is posted here. It’s a shot of Bella in bed, clutching a fist full of feathers, as her and Edward will be taking a big step in their relationship during the final installment of the Saga. Look for Stewart to be getting naked a lot as a result.

Robert Pattinson had a message for his fans at this week’s BBC Teen Choice Awards: Thank you. In response, these fans had a message for the Twilight Saga star: AHHHHHH!!!! Because he’s getting married filming Breaking Dawn in Brazil, Pattinson was not on hand for the ceremony. But he picked up the awards for Best Dressed and Best Actor and submitted a video via satellite, thanking those who voted. If you listen closely, you can make out at least a few words he says above the screams of his admirers below; Robert Pattinson Thank You Speech Still, these Pattinson lovers have a long way to go if they wish to top this crazy person as the world’s biggest Twilight fan.
