Among them was “Lost in Translation” and “Marie Antoinette” director Sofia Coppola. When we caught up with the writer/director to discuss her upcoming Chateau Marmont-set film, “Somewhere,” we asked her if there was any truth to the “Dawn” director rumors. “Yeah, yeah, I talked to them about that,” Coppola revealed to MTV News. “I was interested in doing something but I didn’t end up doing it. But I love, I’m impressed by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison pulling it off in that whole story,” she said. “And my friend’s kids love the story so much that I thought it would be fun to make something that they love so much.” Asked what she liked best about the blockbuster vampire franchise, Coppola admitted she goes weak in the knees for romance. “I just love that it’s so romantic,” she told us. “I’m always a sucker for a love story and also to do something for teenagers, because I feel like, why not have beautiful cinematography and all these things in a kid movie? Usually it looks like it’s not crafted very sophisticated, and I feel like it’d be nice to bring that kind of style into a younger film.” Perhaps the studio heads can line up Coppola for the talked-about film version of the “Eclipse” novella, “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” ? ‘We all root for each other,’ she tells MTV News. By Kara Warner Nikki Reed Photo: MTV News Ever since the first “Twilight” film was released — kicking off the phenomenon that has included record-breaking box-office numbers, fainting fans, megawatt premieres, etc. — the suddenly superstar cast has been catapulted into a spotlight none of them saw coming. As such, the actors are very much in demand and currently working on a number of projects. When Nikki Reed stopped by MTV News recently to discuss her film “Last Day of Summer,” we asked her which of her co-stars’ upcoming films she’s most excited to see. “All of them,” she said. “I love Taylor [Lautner] so much, and I’m so proud of him and what he’s doing. He’s making a great movie in Pittsburgh right now,” she said, referring to the John Singleton-directed action thriller “Abduction.” “I’m excited about Rob [Pattinson]’s movie ‘Water for Elephants,’ ” she added. “I think he’s going to be phenomenal in that, and Kristen [Stewart] is doing an amazing film [‘On the Road’]. Elizabeth Reaser just did a movie called ‘Homework’ with Michael Angarano, who’s a really good friend of mine, and Emma Roberts that I’m excited about.” Reed and her co-stars have so many projects going that she was hard-pressed to remember everyone’s work schedule. “We all root for each other,” she said. Speaking of which, the multi-talented and multi-tasking actress, who recently directed Sage’s music video for “Edie Sedgwick,” lit up at our question about whether she would consider directing a music video for her co-star Jackson Rathbone’s band, 100 Monkeys. “Would I ever! Jackson and I are on the phone every other day, because we’re trying to find a movie to do together. I forgot to mention him — his band is skyrocketing. It’s amazing,” she gushed. “I would be honored. I don’t want to take the position: ‘Would I ever.’ If he would ever let me, yeah. According to Agence France-Presse, Summit Entertainment, the production company behind the hit vampire series, planned to begin shooting in Rio de Janeiro within the next few weeks. However, due to a situation in which gang members held 35 guests hostage in the city’s Intercontinental Hotel, and a subsequent shoot-out that left one person dead, the future of the film’s production in Rio has reportedly been jeopardized. RioFilme, a Brazilian film investment agency, said that Summit was discussing the issue with government officials. In a statement to RadarOnline.com , Summit insisted that no decision about abandoning production in the South American nation has been made. “The possibility of filming portions of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ in Brazil has always been under consideration and we are continuing to scout locations within the country,” the company said. However, according to a RioFilme executive, if the smash film series touches down in the country, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may not head to Brazil until the fall. “If part of the filming of ‘Dawn’ comes rolling in Rio, will be in November/December. OK?” CEO Sergio Sa Leitao said in a message re-tweeted by the agency’s Twitter account. “And nothing more can be said until we close.” Summit announced in June that “Breaking Dawn” would be divided into two parts. The first of the two films is scheduled to hit theaters on November 18, 2011. New grainy photos emerge online that seem to show the ‘Twilight’ stars kissing. Last week, a photo of Pattinson apparently “nuzzling” Stewart’s neck surfaced . And this week, some fuzzy pics of them maybe possibly locking lips have hit the Web. Pattinson visited the newly blond Stewart on the Montreal set of “On the Road,” where the photos were reportedly snapped. While the “nuzzling” photo could also be interpreted as Pattinson trying to whisper something to Stewart, the latest pics look a lot more intimate. The photo of the reported lip-lock found its way on Celebuzz.com along with several other photos, seemingly taken the same night, that clearly show the two hanging out. This isn’t the first time Twilighters have wondered about photographic evidence of a Pattinson-Stewart romance. Last summer, the pair was spotted together at a Kings of Leon concert . Then they were snapped holding hands as they made their way through an airport in Paris. Neither Stewart nor Pattinson has ever ‘fessed up to an off-screen romance, and even their “Twilight” co-stars claim to know little about the true nature of their relationship. “I never know anything,” Elizabeth Reaser told MTV News about the duo earlier this year. “I’m also, like, the clueless person on set that has no idea what’s happening.
