The “Hold It Against Me” singer took to her Twitter on Friday afternoon (March 25) to announce a performance at Rain nightclub at Las Vegas’ Palms Casino and Resort scheduled for later this evening. “Looks like my little secret isnt a secret anymore. Whos coming to watch me take the stage TONIGHT at @RainLasVegas at @PalmsLasVegas?” the pop star tweeted. “You’re all invited. Be there or be square bitch!” The curtain was pulled back on the Vegas performance earlier this week when OnSetProductions.com posted a notice scouting for fans to be part of the event, which will be filmed by MTV. “Jersey Shore” star DJ Pauly D will also be on hand throughout the evening. Britney is no stranger to the Rain stage. Back in 2003, the pop titan gave fans a sneak peek of her album In the Zone by surprising about 1,800 clubgoers with a 30-minute set, which included songs like “Me Against the Music” and “Breathe on Me.” Spears’ Vegas performance is the latest in her string of promotional ventures for her upcoming LP. Last week, it was confirmed that she would pre-tape her “Good Morning America” appearance on Sunday, two days before it will air on the show. On the day of her album release, she will also appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” for a late-night performance of her two latest singles: “Till the World Ends” and “Hold It Against Me.” In addition to her concert specials, MTV will dedicate March 29 to the singer for what is being dubbed a “Britney Takeover” day. But she won’t be trying to copy Brit’s dance moves: ‘I wouldn’t want to butcher it!’ By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Selena Gomez Photo: MTV News Selena Gomez is a die-hard Britney Spears fan, so when she hits the road on her upcoming tour, she plans to pay homage to the Femme Fatale herself. “We haven’t announced anything yet, but I’m kind of creatively thinking of what I want,” she told MTV News. “We are working on a few cover songs. We are working on a Britney tribute, which I’m so stoked about, ’cause I love Britney. I was like, ‘I have to do it.’ I wanna do a mash-up of all her songs and just go for it.” The tribute will look to the past and to the future in terms of Spears’ discography, Gomez teased. “Were gonna do a little tribute. We’re gonna do her hits, ‘ … Baby One More Time,’ and then I think we’re going to try to incorporate ‘Toxic’ and that phase,” she said. “And then we might do some of her recent, new stuff.” While she may sing some of Spears’ biggest hits, she has no plans to re-create any of her famous dance moves. “I don’t think so. I’m not going to even touch Britney!” she said. “She’s so good. I wouldn’t want to butcher it. I’m just going to pay tribute to her! I’m gonna say she’s awesome.” Gomez is also very excited for March 29 to come around — that’s the day Spears releases her new album, Femme Fatale. “I’m so excited, and I’m ready to hear all of it,” Gomez gushed. When she spoke to Ryan Seacrest recently, Gomez shared that Spears’ show was the first concert she ever went to. “We were in the nosebleeds with my cousin,” she recalled. “I got the T-shirt and glow stick. and I just remember it being the highlight of my life! Jersey Shore star Sammi Giancola, a.k.a. Sammi Sweetheart, is getting her jewelry line on. Her signature bling will be called … wait for it … Sammi Sweetheart. The line will be seven pieces focused on her (wholly inaccurate) “sweetheart” image, includes heart-shaped pendants, crystal bracelets and large hoop earrings. There will also be a necklace modeled after the leash around Ron’s neck. You too can dress like a Jersey Shore star!!!!!!! Lady Gaga: Just Too Gay For Malaysia

Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” is just too provocative for Malaysians to hear. That’s what the government of the Southeast Asian nation decreed this week. The government there ordered radio stations to play an edited version of the hit song because its lyrics are an affront to Malaysia’s conservative values. So what exactly was so offensive? A refrain proclaiming “No matter gay, straight or bi, lesbian, transgendered life, I’m on the right track, baby I was born this way,” makes it pretty clear … Little Monsters in Malaysia instead hear a jumble of indecipherable words due to the nation’s cultural restrictions on anything promoting an LGBT lifestyle. “‘ Born This Way ‘ may be considered as offensive when viewed against Malaysia’s social and religious observances,” said the country’s AMP Radio Network. “The entire issue of being gay, lesbian or [bisexual] is still considered as a ‘taboo’ by general Malaysians.” Lady Gaga herself has yet to speak publicly about the “BTW” censorship, but given her recent fallout with Target , we don’t expect this news to go over well. The young female singer has been battling personal demons for months now, recently exiting rehab and thanking her fans via a new wrist tattoo .
