Wenn Image Steve Harvey Responds To Ex-Wife’s $60 Million Lawsuit Steve “don’t look me in the eye” Harvey is not going to be giving up the green to his ex easily, if at all. He responded to his ex-wife Mary’ Sheckleford’s lawsuit through his lawyer, according to a Jasmine Brand report. His attorney released the following statement: Mr. Harvey vehemently denies any allegations set forth in the lawsuit. The Complaint is meritless, frivolous and the allegations are completely false. We will vigorously defend/counterclaim against the Complaint. Vigorously. Yesterday, we reported that Mary filed a claim through her “civil rights activist” that says Steve inflicted irreparable damage on her soul . She also claimed their breakup pushed her to the brink of suicide and into harmful self-medicating. She says Steve took her son, her businesses, and basically her will to live. The two parted ways back in 2005.
Taylor Swift is pissed. We don’t mean that she’s angry about the new Katy Perry diss track directed at her (although that’s almost certainly the case). No, we’re talking about Taylor’s outrage over the whole finding out about her new relationship. As you may have heard, Taylor is dating Joe Alwyn . Alwyn is an actor , but he’s not super famous like her like every single one of her previous beaus. Many have taken Alwyn’s status as a relative unknown as a positive indication that Taylor has learned from her past relationships. Another good sign? Whereas Taylor stopped just short of taking out an ad in Variety to announce her previous romances, she tried to keep her relationship with Alwyn on the down-low. Unfortunately, as she has no experience with doing anything low-key, she’s not very good at it, and the press found out about Joe almost immediately. “Taylor went to great lengths to keep their relationship private and out of the spotlight while [she and Alwyn] have been getting to know one another,” an insider tells E! News. “She has made several trips to see him, but always flies in and out on a private jet with lots of security and has been flying into very small and remote airports.” Yep, Taylor was probably out there meeting dude on foggy runways in a trench coat with the collar turned up. We’re guessing tt was like something straight out of Casablanca , and … dammit, we just gave her the concept for her next video, didn’t we? Anyway, the source claims that Taylor even had a Plan B in place for times when the press started wondering why she was spending so much time in London: “If she was seen in England, she made sure everyone thought it was a work trip,” the insider claims. “Taylor and Joe have really tried to be on lockdown and have spent most of their time together in private locations where they could get to know each other without the pressure of a public relationship and people making judgment calls.” The source adds that Taylor was initially “bummed” that the word got out about her relationship, but now she sees an upside: “At the same time, she is really excited about being with Joe and is hoping she can relax a little bit more now and just enjoy being with him,” the tipster says. Well, that’s Taylor Swift for you. When it comes to her relationships, she’s just a laid back gal who likes to go with the flow. Just kidding, she probably broke up with Joe 14 times this afternoon. Katy Perry shocked and delighted us all when she released “Swish Swish,” a fun little song with Nicki Minaj. The song itself is OK, but the real joy comes from the lyrics, which really and truly seem to be about Taylor Swift . The legendary Katy vs. Taylor feud has been going on for years now, all because Taylor thought Katy betrayed her by stealing some backup dancers. Taylor's made several passive aggressive statements about Katy, and she even released a song about her, the super catchy but super petty “Bad Blood.” And now, two years lately, it seems like Katy's responded with “Swish Swish.” You can listen to the song, take in the lyrics and make your own decision about what it's possibly about, but Katy made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, and she was directly asked about the rumor. “'Swish Swish,'” Jimmy began, “is that about anyone we know?” Katy took a moment to gather her thoughts, then responded with “I think it's a great anthem for people to use whenever someone's trying to hold you down or bully you.” Which, it seems, is a good, neutral answer that works better than something like “Yeah, this song is about Taylor Swift, that bitch.” Of course she can't come right out and directly diss Taylor like that, but notice that she definitely doesn't deny that ti's about her. Watch Katy throw her best subtle shade in the interview below:
Ah crap. I was worried this might happen… I guess my tattle-telling on Bella Thorne for #freeingthenipple on Snapchat backfired, because here she is covering up with those lame emojis in her latest Snaps. I should’ve known. Anyway, I’m real sorry guys. I ruined this for all of us. And Bella (or Snapchat), if you’re reading, I take it all back!
Yesterday, the world awoke to the sad news that Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell had been found dead in a Detroit hotel room just hours after performing for a sell-out crowd. It was later revealed that Cornell’s cause of death was suicide by hanging, and the initial police report was confirmed by Wayne County medical examiners on Thursday evening. While suicide often comes as an utter shock to the victim’s loved ones, Cornell’s wife Vicky says that she’s stunned to the point that she doesn’t fully accept the medical examiner’s ruling. Vicky has reportedly told friends that in all their time together, Chris never gave any indication that he was depressed or inclined toward self-harm. In a statement issued today , Vicky revealed that she became concerned after speaking with him on the night of his death, but not because he sounded suicidal. Vicky says that “Chris was slurring his words” in their second phone conversation of the night, and she became concerned when he revealed that he “may have taken an extra Ativan or two.” Ativan is a brand name for lorazepam, an anti-anxiety medication that’s often used to treat symptoms of withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs. Chris struggled with addiction throughout much of his adult life, but sources say he hasn’t had a drink or consumed in illicit substance since he checked into rehab back in 2003. Now, lawyers for the family are taking action to ensure that the investigation continues in order to determine if drugs played a role in Chris’ decision to commit suicide. “The family believes if Chris took his life, he did not know what he was doing, and that drugs or other substances may have affected his actions,” reads a statement issued by Cornell family attorneys just moments ago. Those who encountered Cornell in his final hours say the singer seemed upbeat and excited for the future. But fans at his final concert noted that there was an elegiac tone to the night’s performance: “My first impression was that Chris was more joyous than I’d ever seen him before,” attendee Ken Settle tells People magazine. “He’d always been, back in the early days especially, kind of a brooding performer, more introspective, sometimes looking down at his guitar most of the time with his hair in his face. At this show, it was the opposite of that.” Settle notes that there were two details that he finds morbid in retrospect: Settle says that while bantering with the crowd, Cornell commented, “I feel really sorry for the next city,” a remark that may have had an ominous tone. In a statement issued today, Vicky Cornell thanked fans for their support and paid tribute to Chris as a devoted husband and father: “Chris’s death is a loss that escapes words and has created an emptiness in my heart that will never be filled,” Vicky said. “As everyone who knew him commented, Chris was a devoted father and husband. He was my best friend. His world revolved around his family first and of course, his music, second.” She concluded: “The outpouring of love and support from his fans, friends, and family means so much more to us than anyone can know. Thank you for that, and for understanding how difficult this is for us.” Chris Cornell Dead: Watch His Final, Tragic Performance
It’s been a rough year for Brad Pitt. The actor admits that in the wake of his high-profile divorce from Angelina Jolie , he fell into a deep depression and began self-medicating heavily. After seeking treatment, Pitt recently revealed that he’s sober and working again, but just days after assuring fans that he’s back on his feet, the beloved screen icon was struck by a pair of devastating blows. Two major figures in the world of entertainment passed away in the past week, and while one was much a more recognized name than the other, both were close friends of Pitt’s, who is reportedly devastated by their loss. The first was producer Brad Grey , a former business partner of Brad’s, who passed on Monday at he age of 59. As Pitt was reportedly still reeling from the loss of a man he considered one of his closest friends, he got news that Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell had been found dead in a Detroit hotel room. Pitt has spoken at length about what a huge fan he is of Cornell’s music: “I’m a big Chris Cornell addict, anything he does,” Brad told Cinema Confidential magazine when asked about his favorite music. More importantly, however, Cornell and Pitt were friends. Their kids attended one another’s birthday parties, and Pitt joined Cornell on stage during a benefit concert in January. “I get to introduce a very, very good friend of mine and someone I’ve known for quite a while, and I’m a huge fan of, Mr. Chris Cornell,” Pitt told the crowd. The back-to-back deaths of two of his best friends has reportedly shaken Pitt to his core. “He is devastated and in shock,” a source tells E! News. “He is trying to process the loss of two great friends. This has hit him very hard.” In the case of Grey, Pitt was reportedly one of a select view who was aware of the Paramount mogul’s illness. The knowledge of his friend’s health issues, reportedly did little to soften the blow for Brad: “With Brad Grey, Brad Pitt was one of the few people who knew he was sick. Grey was told he had a few weeks to live, but he didn’t even get that long. He was gone way too soon,” says one insider. Sources say Brad will continue to use therapy and the emotional tools he gained in rehab to get through this extraordinarily difficult time.
