Situated on a 20 acre private island accessible only via a gated bridge or helicopter, the estate is definitely fit for music royalty. The rhythm is gonna get ya… Rosa Acosta Dances In New “Entourage” Commercial Shot By Director X If you’ve missed Rosa’s moves, they show up in a brand new commercial for “Entourage” which is heading to the Spike network very soon. In honor of the move Director X was recruited to film a brand new promo. Check out her very special two step in the “Entourage” car: While the video is plenty (of a$$) on it’s own — King Magazine tracked down Director X to talk with him about the project. Check out some excerpts from their interview below: KING: Tell us how this “Independent Project” come about? DIRECTOR X: It’s just something we did. That’s actually the Entourage car from [the show’s opening sequence]. So, we’re shooting the commercial, and we have Rosa do a dance in the car. But Rosa is pretty talented. So, she goes and choreographs something in her head. That’s what I mean: she’s a next level type of girl. And she does this. It’s only two takes, something we shot at the end of the day. When I was in the edit I realized this is gold, it’s so good I had to do something else with it. So I had Snoop’s CD, grabbed [”Luv Drunk” featuring The-Dream”], I put the two together, it looked like that’s what she was dancing to, and boom: we got the independent project. So is Rosa the star of the video or is the car the star? C’mon, Rosa. It’s nice that the car is from Entourage, it’s f***ing amazing that Rosa is doing what she’s doing on it. But this was from her actual sequence in the commercial, right? Oh yeah, you see a clip [of this dance] in the Spike commercial. The concept of the commercial is these girls rapping about the fact that they were once in Entourage. The commercial has all kinds of crazy stuff, Gary Busey’s in there…it’s just kind of insane. [Rosa’s] platform was to dance in the car. And normally when you tell a girl that, they just freestyle it away. But she actually planned something out. I haven’t seen any girls do anything like that. So is this the beginning of something bigger? Or is this a one-and-done type of deal? One and done. I didn’t plan to do it, but I did it. The world deserves to see all that footage, so there you go. You’ve set more than a few trends in the Hip-Hop video world. Do you see someone dropping a video of a girl in a car anytime soon? Let’s see what happens and how people respond to it when we put this out. We all know what Snoop and Dream look like. Would it have been better if we saw [them] in there rapping and singing at some point? I don’t think so. I think it’s perfect with just two shots of Rosa on a car. One wide, one medium, and she dances and there you go. Now that the social awareness of hip-hop has broadened, do you see people doing more artistic, conceptual videos instead of the norm? I don’t know, man. People are kinda stuck in their ways, so I’d be surprised to see a really big shift. But things like this show you…you can make something engaging. WTF !?!?!?!? A New Zealand mother of eight has died after drinking 10 liters of Coca-Cola a day, a coroner’s investigation heard. Natasha Harris, 30, suffered a cardiac arrest that her partner believes was brought on by her massive soft drink intake. Harris, from the southern city of Invercargill, was vomiting six times a week in the months leading up to her sudden death in February 2010, but she attributed it to stress. The mom would become moody, irritable and have no energy without her daily dose of Coke, but the family did not suspect her habit was to blame, the Otago Daily Times reported. Her partner, Chris Hodgkinson, told Otago-Southland coroner David Crerar Wednesday that Harris guzzled at least 10 liters a day. “The first thing she would do in the morning was have a drink of Coke and the last thing she would do in the day was have a drink of Coke by her bed,” he said. “I never thought about it. It’s just a soft drink, just like drinking water. I didn’t think a soft drink was going to kill her.” Pathologist Dr. Dan Mornin told the court it was likely Harris had severe hypokalemia — a lack of potassium in the blood — brought on by her excessive consumption of soda. He said she died from cardiac arrhythmia, and that her soft drink habit, along with poor nutrition and too much caffeine, contributed to her death. Crerar has yet to determine a cause of death. In a statement to The Southland Times newspaper, a Coca-Cola representative said that “grossly excessive ingestion of any food product, including water” could be harmful. “We believe that all foods and beverages can have a place in a balanced and sensible diet combined with an active lifestyle,” the statement added. Alicia Keys is all up in VIBE magazine talking about her marriage to that shady character Swizz Beatz… The issue won’t hit newsstands until April 16th but VIBE released this excerpt today: It’s probably not a coincidence that Alicia Keys and her husband, Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean, are wearing matching pants. His: expertly tailored and trim, skimming his sneakers just so. Hers: a sexy waxed denim that hugs her in all the right places. Both are the color of a well-made cappuccino. They’ve agreed to be interviewed together over dinner, a double date of sorts. It’s one of those novel ideas cooked up by magazine editors, but Keys, who seems more open now than she’s ever been, was keen to participate.
