Starz Heats Up Essence With Super Cool Party Premium cable network Starz celebrated some of the biggest (and brightest) stars of Power , American Gods and Survivor’s Remorse at a swanky waterside cocktail soirée that sizzled this year’s star-studded Essence Fest . Splashed with Black girl magic and positive vibes, the classy afternoon social attracted a lovely blend of celebs, tastemakers and guests who enjoyed great music, fancy eats and open bar. Starz brought out the stars like Tichina Arnold ( Survivor’s Remorse ), Joseph Sikora ( Power ) and Orlando Jones ( American Gods ) who mingled with guests and even turned up (we see you Orlando!) without a care in the world. Overall, it was a flawless event that pushed the growing network to exciting new heights!

According to TMZ , the producers are telling Kenya straight up, if she doesn’t convince husband Marc Daly to appear on camera and chronicle their relationship, then her reality TV services are no longer necessary. Marc is NOT with it. He takes exception to the way RHOA portrays Black men and will not take part in a spectacle that degrades him. For her part, Kenya says she’s wanted to married to a man like Marc for 46 years and doesn’t want to risk losing him over the show. Not to mention that Kenya is looking to get knocked up ASAP and undergoing IVF treatment. The stress that this RHOA situation is creating is definitely a potential impediment to pregnancy. What do you think? Should Kenya just twirl away from the show and go on to live her happy life with her just-add-water hubby?

Webbie Arrested For Domestic Violence In Louisiana Louisiana Rapper Webbie got arrested in Baton Rouge on Wednesday after supposedly having a physical altercation with his girlfriend in a local hotel room. According to TMZ , the 25-year-old woman told police that Webbie beat and choked her, leaving bruises all over her neck and face, and refused to let her leave the hotel room for over two hours. She was reportedly hospitalized for her injuries after Webbie finally let her go. Webbie was arrested and charged with second degree battery, false imprisonment, and domestic abuse by strangulation. Christie had shut down the Garden State government after the state Legislature failed to pass a budget by the July 1 deadline, according to CNN . The shutdown reportedly furloughed an estimated 35,000 state workers and forced the temporary closure of state parks, beaches, recreational areas, and historic sites–which sucks because it happened to be on the weekend before July 4th. But, that didn’t stop Christie from setting his thigh and chest meat out with his family. He sat his azz on the “shut down” beach over the weekend, while everyone else was banned.
