Well, there haven’t been any major celebrity deaths so far in 2017 (unless, for some reason, you consider American democracy to be a major celebrity). But that doesn’t mean this year is gonna let you off easy. In fact, you may want to sit down for this one, because there’s a good chance that we’re about to crush your dreams: Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson is officially off the market. Yes, just three months after we learned that Sugar Bear is engaged to Jennifer Lamb, it seems he and the lucky lady have tied the knot. Yes, Lamb married Bear in a ceremony presumably woodland ceremony presumably attended by Honey Boo Boo herself. We’d say the whole situation is sweet enough to give you diabetes, but we’re guessing most of the wedding party was diagnosed long ago. Thompson and Lamb wasted little time on courtship. The two got engaged just nine months after they met. Sugar Bear and Mama June broke up in early 2015, but made several public attempts to mend their relationship. In fact, it seems there was some overlap between Sugar Bear’s two relationships, which says a lot about … something. Either this can be viewed as an indictment of the quality of available men in rural Georgia, or a testament to SB’s sexual prowess. We’re not sure which option is more disturbing. Anyway, many fans (insofar as the disgraced Shannon-Thompson clan still has fans) are skeptical of the union, and for good reason: June and Sugar’s time on Marriage Boot Camp now looks like simply a cash grab, and they were never really working to save their relationship. Mama and Sugar began to have problems around the time the world learned that she cheated on him with the man who molested her daughter . Amazingly, however, June was the one who dumped Sugar Bear, after publicly accusing him of carrying on a number of gay affairs behind her back. Interestingly, the news of Thompson and Lamb’s marriage comes the same day that we learned about June’s return to television. This time, she’ll star on a series about her physical transformation. Is June’s latest attempt to rebuild her public (and physical) image motivated by her ex’s marriage to someone else, and so soon? We don’t know, but Lamb should probably keep her guard up. We don’t want to be pessimistic, but we hope the new Mrs. Bear is smarter than the average bear … which we realize isn’t likely. Matt Baier Busted Lying About Sobriety on Teen Mom OG If you watch Teen Mom OG online , you know that Portwood used to be the hottest mess on the MTV franchise … and her state prison. Not a small feat, in other words. Since she got out of jail, though, she’s really turned her life around, maintaining her sobriety and being a good mother to her daughter, Leah. The only issue is her gross, sketchy fiance, Matt Baier. And with this new sneak peek clip from next week’s installment, well … It’s looking like he’s even grosser and sketchier than we ever could have imagined, which is also not a small feat at this point. “I did absolutely exaggerate the length of my sobriety,” the recovering addict reveals in a therapy session he attends with Amber. “Even with her when I first met her.” You slimy, slimy douchebag. When Matt was first introduced on the reality show, he was supposed to be this person that had battled with addiction, just like Amber. Their bond, however unlikely on the surface, was largely due to the fact that he had beaten the odds and achieved sobriety, just like Amber. Yeah, apparently not so much. “He wasn’t sober when I met him,” Amber explains in the clip, but says she wasn’t duped by that fact at the time. “And I knew it.” “I can say that he would not have been sober if it wasn’t for me, because I took those f-cking pills, poured them down the toilet and threw it at him.” Matt laughs at the memory of that mental image, and says that when it happened, he “wanted to go swimming after” the pills. However, he claims that “that was the day my sobriety really kicked in … it was either her or drugs, and I wasn’t giving up her.” Well, that’s … sweet? A nice sentiment? Even inspirational? No, it’s just as sad and weird as everything else Matt does. It’s great that Matt is sober these days, and if Amber inspired him, then that’s lovely, sure. But the fact remains that this is a toxic pattern. His sobriety is one more thing he’s lied about, and it’s one more thing that he’s gotten the Teen Mom star to lie about on his behalf. He’s shady, and Amber doesn’t need a shady character in her life. Not with how far she’s come, and after all she’s been through. To her credit though, Amber says in the clip that when she first got with Matt, “I said, ‘you will not be with me if you’re doing this sh-t.'” “He made the decision.” Gary Shirley: Matt Baier’s Life is Trash! “I can’t be with someone who’s using,” she recalls, yet, if she were even in a position where she had to flush his pills down the toilet … That would mean he was using, yes? As illogical and concerning and disappointing as it may be, Amber and Matt Baier are getting married at some point in the near future. “I love Matt because I knew his potential when I met him,” she explains. “He was such a good person, he was so sweet. It was genuine.” “I can usually tell when somebody’s bullsh-tting me. He’s done so much in his life that people won’t let him move forward.” “I’ll let him move forward.” And yeah, that’s great, but she shouldn’t “let him move forward” at the risk of her own health and happiness, or her daughter’s. If he wasn’t sober when they met, and if he lied to her about how many kids he has, and if he made her think he was genuine? Forget the fact that he tried to get with Farrah Abraham and Jenelle Evans first, he’s just not a good dude for her in the end. Need a break from all the horrible, awful, completely depressing news that’s been dominating the media for the past couple days? Want to just hear about something nice for once, maybe something about love and romance and positivity? Well, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo have given an interview about their November 5th wedding ceremony . So, you know, close enough. According to Jeremy, “It was a dream come true” getting married to Jinger. “We’ve been counting down the hours until this day,” he said. Jeremy began courting Jinger in June, so they’ve waited five entire months from the time they began dating to getting married. That’s a whole lot of hours when all you can do is side-hug. As for Jinger, she was so excited about the wedding that “I told the girls I need the bridemaids to enter behind me because I thought I would collapse when I saw him.” Even though Jinger and Jeremy have been playing a little fast and loose with the Duggar’s traditional views on courtship — chaperones always, boning never — they still saved their very first kiss for their wedding day. If a Duggar can’t kiss someone until she’s married to him, and if Jinger’s never been married, this should mean that this kiss was not only her first kiss with Jeremy, but her first kiss period. Yeah, if you thought your first kiss with your awkward middle school boyfriend in his parents’ damp, smelly basement was rough, try doing it Duggar-style, in a formal ceremony with nearly 1,000 people watching. Still, Jinger says “I wasn’t nervous at all. I couldn’t wait for it. It’s like he couldn’t say it soon enough.” Hey, girl, you get yours. About the couple, Jinger’s mother, Michelle Duggar revealed that “They really balance each other out.” “Jeremy is a strong leader, and Jinger is such a gentle people person and a great follower.” Aww, come on, Michelle, fight the patriarchy. Or at least fight the urge to give out dumb “compliments” about your daughter being a good follower. And hey, if you’re one of those people that like to hear details about the actual wedding itself and not just the couple, well then, come. You’re among your own here. You know that beautiful dress Jinger wore ? That was hand-beaded lace, and it came complete with a train that was 13 feet long. The ceremony took place at the Cathedral of the Ozarks at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and the couple chose an autumn-inspired color palette. Specifically, the colors were “burnt orange, eggplant, and olive,” and according to the wedding planner, “the idea was to bring the outdoors in.” For the reception, guests munched on picked okra, meatballs, and cheese and crackers, and the wedding cake was a “naked cake” — a vanilla cake covered with berries. Jinger and Jeremy left the reception in a vintage Jaguar. It actually sounds like kind of a nice wedding, right? Or at least it sounds a little milder than what we’d expect from this family. We’ll get to see soon enough whether or not this was whole affair was as classy as it sounds, because TLC has promised a wedding special that’s set to air next week . After a whirlwind courtship even by her family’s standards, Counting On star Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo got married on Saturday. Jinger’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, confirmed the wedding news with a short video on the family’s official website November 5. See their announcement below! Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo Wedding Announcement “We are so excited for Jinger and Jeremy … they just got married and they are such a sweet couple,” proud father Jim Bob said afterward. “Jinger is one of the most dynamic, beautiful, Godly girls that I know, and Jeremy is such a passionate, loving, kind spiritual leader.” “Match made in heaven.” Smiling by her husband’s side as always, Michelle Duggar added in the brief video, “Congratulations, Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo!” “We love you guys!” Jinger’s older sister Jessa Duggar also shared a congratulatory message, posting the Instagram picture above of the smiling newlyweds. “Ahhhhhh! So happy for my sister and brother-in-law! The wedding was beautiful!” Jessa wrote, teasing a photo of the happy spouses. And plugging JingerAndJeremy (dot) com, it would appear. True love is great, but the Duggars are an enterprising bunch, aren’t they? In any event, the couple tied the knot in front of their closest friends and family members at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark. The Counting On tandem got engaged in July of this year, just one month after they announced they were officially a courting couple. Jinger and Jeremy’s courtship raised more than a few eyebrows from the very beginning, given the breakneck pace they were seemingly on. So intense was the talk of the couple going ham and breaking courtship rules that there was even a Jinger Duggar pregnant rumors. That, of course, was bogus. But given that they’re now husband and wife, we would not be shocked if they got around to that promptly. In announcing their engagement this summer, the pair said in a statement, “So excited to share this news that we are now engaged.” “From both of us, thank you all for the countless well-wishes we’ve received during the courtship.” “It has been an incredible journey so far and we are excited about serving Christ together in the coming days,” Jinger added. “We are so excited to take this next step in spending our lives together. We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together.” At 22, Jinger Duggar Vuolo is the sixth oldest of Jim Bob and Michelle’s 19 kids, behind Josh, Jana, John David, Jill and Jessa Duggar. Interestingly, twins Jana and John David, 26, are the only two of the six who have not been in a serious relationship (that we know of). Jill and Jessa got married in 2014 and 2015, respectively, and frequently commented on how Jinger’s courtship was fast, and different. The TLC mainstay plans to move from her hometown of Tontitown, Arkansas, to Laredo, Texas, after the wedding to work with Vuolo. An ordained pastor, the former soccer pro has devoted his life to his ministry, something that Jinger’s family undoubtedly approves of. Despite Jim Bob’s ridiculous demands and attempts to control the two, he can’t really complain; Vuolo seems like a stand-up dude. Of Jeremy, Jinger said that he was the answer to her prayers. “I asked God for this in a future spouse,” she recalled earlier this year. “He has done far and above anything I could have ever imagined or dreamed in bringing Jeremy into my life,” she gushed. As previously reported, Pippa Middleton is getting her famous butt in perfect shape for her wedding day. The sister of Kate Middleton rose to prominence after the world got a look at this derriere on the occasion of her sibling’s marriage to Prince William. So it makes sense that Pippa would want it looking as perfect as possible for her own nuptials. But rear end chatter aside, we now have an even more important update on Middleton’s impending marriage to James Matthews. According to a close friend of Pippa’s, the world’s most famous bridesmaid will become a bride in May of 2017. “Of course she is super excited and already planning everything,” this pal tells People Magazine, adding of Middleton and Matthews : “[They] have a lot in common – he’s charming and old-fashioned. Everyone thinks he’s quite the catch.” We’d hope and think so. Because Pippa is quite the catch herself! Matthews got down on one knee during a romantic trip to England’s Lake District and proposed to Middleton on July 17. He even designed the diamond ring himself, insiders have confirmed. “He would never have bought something off-the-peg for her, it had to be very special,” this same friend explains. The design is centered around an octagonal halo of sparking channel-set diamonds and is believe to be close to flawless; it is reportedly worth more than $250,000. There’s been talk around the tabloid world that both Kate Middleton and Pippa Middleton are pregnant . But we don’t think we’re buying these cover stories, no matter how many times various supermarket magazines want to throw the rumor in our face. Those close to Pippa and Matthews describe the couple as “sporty” and say they are often seen coming and going out of the latter’s London home. They like to bicycle around London and/or walk Middleton’s dog. Earlier this fall, Middleton and Matthews were seen enjoying a low-key brunch at Little House, a members-only restaurant in London’s Mayfair. “They looked very happy and sweet, enjoying some breakfast together, just like any other couple,” says a fellow diner, who had no choice but to add: “The ring is enormous! After more than four years of dating, Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney got married in a lavish ceremony in Florida over the weekend. There was a time when it looked as though Hurricane Matthew would force Maci and Taylor to postpone the ceremony , but miraculously, the weather cooperated and the nuptials went off without a hitch. Maci and Ryan have yet to post any pics on their social media pages, but we're sure that'll change once they return form their honeymoon.
