Cynthia Bailey: Porsha Williams Anti-Gay Comments are "Ignorant"

Earlier today, shocking video emerged showing  Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams making anti-gay comments at an Atlanta area church in 2010: Porsha Williams: Save the Gays! Porsha’s RHOA co-star Cynthia Bailey has spoken out against Porsha’s comments in a statement issued to TMZ. “To put gays and lesbians in the same category as drug dealers, hookers, and people who attempt suicide is ignorant and insensitive,” said Bailey. “Especially when she just profited from performing at a popular gay club. #flipflop” Yes, Cynthia’s statement apparently included a hashtag. Joining Cynthia in her criticism is the frequent  RHOA  guest star known as Miss Lawrence, himself a gay man living in in Atlanta. “I think some women use the community as a convenience…i.e. for gay slang, fan base building and beauty security,” said Lawrence. “But like always, true character always reveals.” Porsha has long been a controversial figure on the Bravo series. Her recent separation from husband Kordell Stewart has been an ugly and public affair and Porsha’s fight with Kenya Moore on the RHOA reunion show led to her arrest on assault charges. Williams’ boss – openly gay Bravo vice president Andy Cohen – has not yet stated if she will face disciplinary action as a result of the video. 9 Best Quotes From The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion Open Slideshow 1. Michael Jordan: I Was Racist Against All White People

In a new book entitled Michael Jordan: The Life , the NBA legend reveals to author Ronald Lazenby that he considered himself to be racist “against all white people” while growing up in North Carolina. Jordan recalls that the Ku Klux Klan held major influence in Wilmington, NC during the 1960s and 70s, even providing Bibles to churches and uniforms to area basketball teams in order to maintain their power. The six-time NBA champion says he was subjected to frequent bigotry and ridicule during his childhood and teen years and received harsh punishments from authority figures when he attempted to fight back. During one incident in 1977, Jordan was suspended from school when he threw a soda in retaliation against a girl who attacked him with racial slurs. “So I threw a soda at her,” Jordan says when recalling the episode. “I was really rebelling. I considered myself a racist at the time. Basically, I was against all white people.” Recently, Jordan has been outspoken in his opinions regarding the Donald Sterling racism scandal . Jordan, who now owns the Charlotte Bobcats has stated that he “applauds” NBA commissioner Adam Silver’s decision to ban Sterling from the NBA .  In a recent interview to promote his comprehensive biography, Lazenby described Jordan’s life as “a black power story.”

Elle Fanning for Interview May of the Day

Elle Fanning is 16…but never too young to be featured in Interview magazine, you know to discuss what being a young actress means to her, or whatever the generic bullshit questions they got her answering, whether it was about her childhood, her famous sister, her stage parents or losing her virginity…as riveting or controversial as it was or is, because I haven’t read the shit, I think it was just a good excuse to get her in a bikini and not seem like a bunch of creepers at the beach in sunglasses, setting up their chairs next to young girls in Brazilian cut bikini bottoms tanning, taking selfies and wrestling…not that I’d know anything about that, even though it’s what I did all day yesterday….

Beyonce Breaks iTunes, Sells Ridiculous Number of Albums

All hail, Queen B. Beyonce dropped a new album on iTunes yesterday, stunning the music world and causing an insane uproar on Twitter . The self-titled, self-described “visual” CD is comprised of 14 fresh tracks and 17 videos (one of which features daughter Blue Ivy) and it managed to actually crash iTunes temporarily yesterday due to the mad rush of fans to download. Beyonce Album Shocks Music World According to Billboard sources, meanwhile, it also sold over 80,000 copies in just three hours after the closing sales window ended Friday at midnight PST. That’s just nutty. Beyonce’s fifth studio album will likely compete with Garth Brooks’ ninth studio album for the top spot next week, with Billboard adding that many members of Sony Records itself were kept in the dark about the release of “BEYONCE.” That’s how top secret this endeavor was. The album includes collaborations with Jay Z, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Drake, Frank Ocean, Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake. “I see music as more than just what I hear,” Bey said in a Facebook video. “When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies and they’re all connected to the music. And I think that’s one of the reasons why I wanted to do a visual album.”

He Aint Got No Worries: Mike Tyson Says He’s Not Ashamed Of Biting Evander Holyfield Like A Savage Beast Or Being Convicted Of Rape

Mike Tyson Says He’s Not Ashamed Of His Rape Conviction Former heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson has seen many highs and lows throughout the course of his career and personal life, but the thing that “shames” him the most among his lengthy list of shortcomings is growing up poor. via Yahoo News It has been nearly 20 years since Mike Tyson, now 47, fought his most violent — and therefore memorable — bouts. He didn’t wear a robe or socks when he entered the ring — all he wore was a mean face that practically said, “I can kill you with one punch.” Tyson’s life outside the ring has been equally memorable and equally violent, and he has spared few details in his new autobiography Undisputed Truth. Asked by ABC News correspondent Paula Faris whether he felt any shame for his 1992 rape conviction or for biting off part of Evander Holyfield’s ear in 1997, Tyson admits, “None of that stuff shames me. Only thing that shames me is that I was really poor.” Tyson’s mother was an alcoholic who shuttled him from home to home in one of Brooklyn’s bleakest neighborhoods, Brownsville. He thought himself lucky if the roof over his head had heat and hot water. Iron Mike also goes int detail about his childhood as a juvenille delinquent. In an unguarded moment, Tyson confesses of his mother, “I wish I knew what to say to her to make her like me. I was never a good person.” By age 7, Tyson had stopped attending classes, slipping into school only for the free meals. A savvy pickpocket by age 9, he was on the fast track to becoming a career thief, breaking into neighborhood apartments and walking out with cash, electronics and guns. By the time he was 12, he was arrested 38 times and, just as disturbing, he was illiterate. “I was a criminal,” Tyson says. “In my neighborhood that made you a good guy — [being] able to steal money on your own without people helping you and take care of yourself.” Being a neighborhood thief didn’t protect Tyson from being bullied mercilessly by older kids. He was small for his age, spoke with a lisp and was an easy target — at least on the surface. How you can not be ashamed of the whole world viewing you as a rapist or an out-of-control mad man is beyond us….
