Comic-Con Cosplayer Profile: Mileena from Mortal Kombat

Movieline’s Comic-Con cosplayer profile series began with Chef Vader , continued with the Halo Spartans , and alighted on a 9-year-old Hit Girl . Today, we meet a costumed Mortal Kombat-loving Con-goer from Tucson, Ariz. who crafted her own revealing outfit with just a few scant yards of fabric. Stuck at a railroad crossing just outside of the Convention Center — standing next to her own personal Liu Kang — she spoke with Movieline while hordes of badge holders waited to cross the tracks.

Also featured are Paris Hilton, apparently feigning a cellphone conversation out of nowhere to evade questions about her recent interview fiasco, Vanessa Hudgens, who looks very darling in her short hairdo, Brian J. Smith, who wishes he could be at Comic-Con just like Vanessa Hudgens, Mallika Sherawat, who looks stunning arriving for some celebrity-caliber fare at Katsuya Hollywood, Dane Cook and Demi Lovato, hitting up Roosevelt Hotel, Blake Lively, filming in New York, Keith Olbermann breaking into a theatre, Jeremy Piven, who feels very proud that “Entourage” is over, Rihanna — who is struck again by the Curse of the Red Woodpecker in New York City! — and Zelda Williams, caught smoking within 20 feet of a restaurant entrance in New York City. Stephen Dorff and Nick Swardson on Porn Comedy Bucky Larson and Being Friends with Adam Sandler

In order to catch Stephen Dorff and Nick Swardson during Comic-Con, Movieline had to brave the converted parking lot Camp Playboy, an artificial turf-lined space where dozens of scantily clad Playboy model types (day players, mostly) flitted about during our chat about Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star , in which Swardson plays the world’s unlikeliest porn star. In other words: The perfect setting.

The Lizard Is Revealed, Andrew Garfield Almost Cries and 5 Other Highlights From Comic-Con’s Amazing Spider-Man Panel

One of the highlights of yesterday’s Comic-Con events was definitely the panel for the Amazing Spider-Man , where director Marc Webb and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ifans took the eager fans on an emotional Hall H journey. [UPDATE] Report: Spider-Man Star Arrested at Comic-Con

Speaking of The Lizard making a splash at Comic-Con , The Wrap reports that Amazing Spider-Man star Rhys Ifans was arrested and charged with misdemeanor battery in San Diego. Ifans, who portrays Dr. Curt Conners a/k/a The Lizard, was on hand among cast and filmmakers yesterday to debut footage in Hall H; apparently, the incident occurred when Ifans “shov[ed] a female security guard” and “insulted” the U.S. prior to the panel.

Little known fact: The San Diego Comic-con is an excellent place to meet hot chicks. Even better, it’s an excellent place to meet hot chicks dressed up like your favorite geek goddesses, like the ever-popular Slave Leia from Return of the Jedi (1983). (We could post an entire gallery of girls dressed up like Slave Leia. No, really .) Of course, in nerd-dom as in life, there ain’t nothing like the real thing, baby, but some of these fine, foxy fangirls give the actresses who skinspired them a serious run for their money. Comic-Con Cosplayer Profile: Meet the Halo Spartans

As part of our continuing Comic-Con coverage this year, Movieline is profiling some of the most elaborate cosplayers roaming the San Diego Convention Center halls. Yesterday’s subject was a Homeland Security employee dressed as Chef Vader , and this morning’s profilees are two dramatically costumed Halo Spartans, who Movieline found asking for directions at a Mrs. Fields stand outside of Ballroom 20.
