One night when I got home from school I got a call from my…

One night when I got home from school I got a call from my friend Eliora. She was like, “Kayla! Justin is in NYC tonight for Fashion Night Out!” I immediately jumped on the next train to the city to meet her. We took a taxi down to where the stores were, that were having events. We had heard earlier in the day that Justin was going to be at Dolce & Gabbana but we were not sure if he was going to be there that night. We decided to go into a bunch of stores just to check if he was in any of them. We asked various people if they knew where he was that night and no one seemed to know. We finally made it down to the block of Dolce & Gabbana. We saw a group of people in the front of the store taking pictures. We walked over and saw Ashley Benson. Our first reaction was, OMG she is going out with Ryan Good. We took a picture with her and started to walk around the bend looking for Justin. As we turned the corner, we saw Ryan Good, as in Justin’s swag coach! We went absolutely CRAZY. We took a picture with him then asked where Justin was. He told us he had just left, pointing down the block. We saw his car driving away. We were a little bummed out but still happy we got to see Ryan. Now that we knew Justin had left, we did not know what to do. We stood there for a while then overheard Ryan say to Ashely that Allison was waiting by the car. We immediately freaked out and knew that he was talking about Allison Kaye. We turned the corner once again and see Allison. We once again, went CRAZY! We asked her for a picture as well and she said sure. We talked to her a bit until we saw a few girls taking a picture with someone in the corner of our eye. We turn to our left and Scooter is standing there. We could not believe it. We tapped Scooter on the back and told him how much we loved him. He thanked us but unfortunately, he was in such a rush that he apologized and told us he had no time for a picture with us. They all got in the car and waved to us as they were leaving. This was one of the best nights ever! Although we were unable to meet Justin, it was amazing to meet his crew, the people that help make Justin be the best he can be. It was so unforgettable. -@KeRnKr @Ayelio Read the original: One night when I got home from school I got a call from my…

My name is Emily, I’m 16 and I live in Tennessee. I went…

My name is  Emily , I’m 16 and I live in Tennessee. I went to Justin’s concert on  August 11, 2010 ,  and to this day, I remember exactly what happened on that incredible evening. We arrived at Bridgestone around noon, waiting to get into soundcheck. I was so nervous. I didn’t eat all day, and my stomach was turning like crazy. I couldn’t get the fact that I was about to see Justin up close out of my head. I had recently been experimenting with some terrible things, like avoiding eating and causing harm to myself, and I knew that this concert would somehow give me hope. Boy, was I right. After a long time of waiting and waiting, we finally sat down for soundcheck. When I saw Justin, my heart leapt out of my chest. He did his dougie routine, and began to answer questions. Everyone raised their hands as my friend  Raven  and I tried to decide what we may ask. That’s when I realized I had my hand up, and Justin chose  me.   I looked behind me, face red, confused, and he said, “Yes, you sweetheart.” My voice was shaking, and I asked, “Uhh… What’s the worst date you’ve been on?” He looked confused, and replied, “What’s the worst state I’ve been in?” The crowd laughed, and some said, “No! Worst date!” to which Ryan replied, “OH! I thought she had it out for one of the 50.” Justin giggled, and said “I haven’t really had a bad date.” Someone in the crowd said, “What about Kim Kardashian?” and Justin shot back, “No, no, no. Kim is perfect.” To have even spoken to Justin made my year, it probably made my life just knowing I had talked to my role model. Raven and I had 2nd row seats. During the concert, Justin went up in his metal heart and sang ”Never Let You Go” (my favorite song). This was my favorite part of the concert because when he sang, it honestly sounded like an angel was singing. He took his ear piece out and listened to the crowd, making everyone scream louder. He was so enthralled with how incredibly loud we were that he took time to listen to us. I felt a tear come to my eyes as I watched this all unfold in front of me like a dream.  The best feeling in the world is knowing that he truly does love us. He loves everything we do for him, and we love everything he does for us. That’s how it’s supposed to go. All we want is his happiness, and all he wants is ours. I love you Justin! Thank you for being such an inspiration to me. You’ve gotten me through these tough times, so thank you very much for producing the music that you do . Listening to it makes me calm, and it makes me realize how blessed I am with what I have, and that harming myself is not the answer to my problems. -@emmyluvz See original here: My name is Emily, I’m 16 and I live in Tennessee. George Clooney on Gay Rumors: Bring ‘Em!

You wanna believe George Clooney is gay? The actor possesses a resume full of the most beautiful girlfriends in the business, but go right ahead. He won’t stop you. “I think it’s funny,” the actor tells The Advocate of such rumors. “But the last thing you’ll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, ‘These are lies!’ That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community. I’m not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private, and I’m very happy in it.” Clooney, of course, is dating Stacy Keibler (or is he really?!?) and is a firm support of gay marriage. “One day the marriage equality fight will look as archaic as George Wallace standing on the University of Alabama steps keeping James Hood from attending college because he was black,” he says. “People will be embarrassed to have been on the wrong side.”

Chris Brown Wins, Performs at Grammy Awards

Chris Brown returned to the Grammy Awards for the first time in three years Sunday night, notching a win for Best R&B album and putting on a spirited live performance. Three years after assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the Grammys, Brown (who was convicted of felony assault) took that Staples Center stage. The 22-year-old won over the crowd with a glow-in-the-dark rendition of “Turn Up the Music” and “Beautiful People.” Take a look at the singer’s effort below … Chris Brown Grammy Awards Performance There were no innuendos or screen cuts to ex-flame Rihanna. Chris Brown simply finished his songs, stood triumphantly and saluted the crowd before taking a bow. Breezy – as Brown is nicknamed – made the night an even bigger success when he went on to win his first ever Grammy Award, for Best R&B Album for F.A.M.E . “People who make mistakes and learn from them are ROLE MODELS too. Im just happy to inspire growth and positivity, #TEAMBREEZYdidit” Brown tweeted. The haters and the skeptics remain in large quantities, but if his actions continue to match such words, he’ll be on his way to a great career comeback.

Andrew Garfield Surprises ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ Fans

Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans and director Marc Webb also pop in during 3-D premiere of new trailer. By Kevin P. Sullivan Andrew Garfield in “The Amazing Spider-Man” Photo: Marvel / Columbia Pictures NEW YORK — Spider-Man fans came out in droves around the globe and in the web-slinger’s hometown to get “a sneak peek into the untold story” from the upcoming film. That’s all they knew when they lined up hours early outside Manhattan’s Regal Union Square. As similar events were taking place in major cities worldwide, no one in the audience knew about the surprises four of the events, in particular, held in store. MTV News’ Josh Horowitz moderated the New York event and welcomed fans as they took their seats. The theater grew quiet, and a live feed from L.A. replaced the Spider-Man insignia on the screen. The L.A. host welcomed the director of “The Amazing Spider-Man,” Marc Webb, to join him on-camera. Webb threw it to Rio de Janeiro, where Emma Stone was introduced. A trip across the pond revealed the film’s villain, Rhys Ifans , but it wasn’t until the special guest in New York that the crowd lost their minds. Andrew Garfield , the man behind the mask, stepped out from a side door, inciting an out-of-control roar from the theater. A man shouted “Hallelujah” from the crowd, and Garfield couldn’t help but agree: “Hallelujah. You said exactly what was on my mind,” he said. “It means the world to all of us that you care so much. Thank you for being here.” Back in L.A., Webb instructed the audiences around the world to put on their 3-D glasses for the new trailer for “Amazing Spider-Man,” hours before the world premiere. Each of the four special guests then answered a question about the upcoming film. Webb addressed the new story and villain. Stone described how Gwen Stacy is the polar opposite to Mary Jane Watson. Ifans explained how Dr. Connors’ flaws make him more significant and how the connection to Peter’s father makes the film more emotional. Garfield answered a simple question — “Why did you want to be Spider-Man?” — in a simple and honest way: “Because I’m not an idiot,” he said. “It’s the thing everyone wants.” He explained that the role doesn’t belong to him, the character belongs to everyone. Garfield even expressed hopes that the next actor to play Peter Parker would be “half Hispanic/half African-American,” like the current iteration of Spider-Man in the Ultimate run, Miles Morales. The event concluded with an extended sizzle reel, lasting about seven minutes in all, of new 2-D footage, much of which was unfinished. Scenes included an awkward and cute scene between Peter and Gwen and a short sequence showing Peter developing his powers. Super Bowl Halftime: Madonna Promises ‘Greatest Show On Earth’

Queen of Pop confirms she will be ‘singing three old songs and one new one’ during halftime show. By John Mitchell Madonna at a press conference for the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show on Friday Photo: Getty Images Madonna wowed the crowd with some impromptu moves at a press conference today in Indianapolis, Indiana, readying the world for the spectacle she’s planning for Sunday’s halftime show at Super Bowl XLVI . Intimating that she’s rooting for the New York Giants (she famously got her start and currently resides in New York City, after all), the Queen of Pop complimented Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz on his end-zone salsa dancing, telling reporters, “I have absolutely no criticism of his moves. In fact, he’s inspired me. I’m going to show ’em to you and you tell me what you think.” She then stepped away from the podium and playfully began to salsa , eliciting hoots and applause from the assembled press. “You think he’d approve?” The often-provocative diva also assured curious reporters that her focus was firmly on putting on the best show she could. “The envelope I’m pushing is just for a spectacular show, which I think will entertain all age groups and hopefully will be a feast for the eyes and the ears,” she said. Judging from early glimpses of her reported stage design , there’s no doubt she’s got quite the spectacle planned for Sunday. She also revealed that she’s performing four songs — three classics and her new single, “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” the video for which will be previewed on “American Idol” Thursday (February 2) ahead of the single’s release Friday on iTunes. “I promise I will be singing three old songs and one new one,” Madonna told reporters. If an early leaked set list and photos of rehearsals are any indication, the vintage Madonna songs audiences can expect to hear will be “Vogue,” “Ray of Light” and “Music.” She would not divulge any further details about the show, however, explaining that she didn’t want to “give anything away” because she wants viewers to be ” knocked out of their seats from beginning to end.” “I’m so excited to be here,” a clearly excited Madonna told the crowd. “This is a Midwesterner girl’s dream to be performing at the halftime show.” Making the press rounds ahead of what is certainly one of the biggest performances of her three-decade career, Madonna has not been shy about admitting she is nervous and contentious of how big a deal the Super Bowl is. “Oh my God, I’m so nervous, you have no idea,” Madonna told Anderson Cooper during a pre-taped appearance Thursday on his daytime talk show. “First of all, it’s the Super Bowl. I mean the Super Bowl is kind of like the holy of holies in America right? … I have to put on the greatest show on earth, in the middle of the greatest show on earth. I have eight minutes to set it up and seven minutes to take it down and 12 minutes to put on the greatest show on earth. That’s a lot of pressure.” It sure is. Skrillex, 12th Planet Play To Sold-Out L.A. Crowd

Skrill’s high-energy gig with Diplo was part of six-show EDM series in Los Angeles. By Lara Kathleen Kelley Skrillex and 12th Planet perform in Los Angeles Photo: Michelle Oglakhchyan It’s officially Skrillex week in Los Angeles, where MTV’s EDM Artist of the Year just finished his second gig in a series of six back-to-back shows, each spotlighting diverse talent in the now-reigning dubstep scene. Wednesday night’s gig at CYP2, a popular bi-weekly indie dance music event, featured Skrillex performing a back-to-back set with 12th Planet, Diplo and UK producer Caspa for a jam-packed crowd at the Echoplex. “The show sold out in under 20 minutes,” said Danny Johnson, co-producer of CYP2. “Skrillex and 12th Planet are best buds, Caspa is a dubstep don and Diplo has championed these artists from day one, so the lineup made perfect sense and the fans went crazy for it.” As soon as the doors opened, partygoers piled in, energy high and anticipation permeating the air. Music pumped from the speakers by DJ Franki Chan, owner of the IHeartComix label and CYP2 co-producer. Then DJ/producer Diplo lit up the crowd with bass-heavy beats and hard-core hip-hop tracks. But it wasn’t until Skrillex took the stage with 12th Planet that the fans went crazy and began screaming, chanting and moshing for the dubstep duo. Skrillex pumped up the fans and held them at his fingertips with tracks like “Breakin’ a Sweat” and “Right on Time.” The set included all of their popular singles as well as remixes of Avicii’s “Levels,” La Roux’s “In for the Kill” and Rusko’s “Hold On.” Their two-and-a-half-hour set kept the crowd on their feet and begging for more bass until the lights came on. 12th Planet, born John Dadzie, had nothing but great things to say about the five-time Grammy-nominated artist formerly known as Sonny Moore. “Skrillex and I met at Ultra Music Festival a few years ago and have been good friends ever since,” he said. “We started doing collaborations together, and he would sing vocals during my sets. Since then, Skrillex has become a beast, and now when I get the opportunity to work with him, I learn as much as I possibly can. 12th Planet, recently deemed “U.S. dubstep godfather” by dance-music magazine Mixmag, spent much of 2011 on tour with Skrillex. “Performing with Skrillex reminds me of how much fun it is to tag-team DJ with one of your good friends. I love the chemistry that comes together when I play with Skrillex … we can pretty much connect by E.S.P. during our sets.” Just this month, 12th Planet released his five-track free-for-download The End Is Near. It will be complimented by a 28-city North American tour that kicks off on February 2 in Miami, Florida. The week-long Skrillex takeover continues with a show Thursday (January 26) night at the Exchange in Downtown L.A. followed by massive gigs at the Avalon in Hollywood Friday night, the Palladium on Saturday and L.A. Live on Sunday. Are you planning on seeing Skrillex live? Let us know in the comments! Related Videos Best EDM Artist Of 2011 Debate Related Artists Skrillex
