Chrissy , girl John hasn’t set a wedding date yet. That’s a bad sign. Maybe your anxiety comes from knowing that your fairytale wedding is doomed. John Legend’s Fiance Gets Anxiety Over Wedding According to NY Daily News Chrissy Teigen needs wedding Xanax. “I have such bad anxiety that sometimes I don’t believe I’ve even taken the pill in the morning!” she said at a bridal shower thrown by Gillette Venus, which she endorses. Though Teigen and John Legend haven’t announced a wedding date, she seems likely to let that, and other details, slip sooner or later. “John had to pull me aside — and he’s never done this in our entire relationship — and he told me, ‘You need to learn how to answer this question; just say no,’ ” Teigen said. So much anxiety for your average beard. John, how you doing? PCN
A Christian singer hires a hitman to kill his wife? Oh the irony. Christian Singer Hires Hitman To Kill Wife According to NY Daily News The lead singer of Christian heavy metal band “As I Lay Dying” tried to hire a hit man to kill his estranged wife, authorities said. Grammy-nominated rocker Tim Lambesis, 32, was arrested in a sting operation 2 p.m. Tuesday in Oceanside, Southern California. Authorities said they sprang into action after hearing Thursday how he wanted someone to murder Meggan Lambesis — the mother of his three adopted children. “The information came to us late last week. We acted quickly on it. I believe we averted a great tragedy,” said Jan Caldwell of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. Heavily tattooed Lambesis, who lives 20 miles north of San Diego in Del Mar, was served with divorce papers by his wife in September 2012. The long-haired singer’s band, formed in 2000, has released six albums. Its most successful was “An Ocean Between Us” which soared to No. 8 on the Billboard charts in 2007. His group had recently returned from tour in Asia, reports Billboard.com. Metal Blade, the group’s record label, has not commented on the arrest. Lambesis, who was charged with solicitation of another to commit murder, is due in court for arraignment Wednesday or Thursday. If you hated your wife that much, why not just divorce her? Youtube
Come on son. Once you got the breast implants did you really think no one was going to recognize you? Escaped Convict Gets Breast Implants To Avoid Jail According to NY Daily News An escaped Colombian convict got breast implants and dressed as a woman to avoid being sent back to jail, police said. Giovanni Rebolledo — sentenced in 2012 to 60 years in prison for kidnapping, robbery and extortion — underwent surgery to become “Rosalinda.” After his extreme makeover, he started working as a prostitute in the Viejo Prado district of the northern coastal city of Barranquilla. But, despite his new appearance, police still recognized him Saturday during a routine stop-and-search. He was arrested and paraded before the country’s media. El Tiempo newspaper reports that Rebolledo, originally from the capital of Bogota, was jailed last year for his involvement in the Los Topos criminal gang. The group allegedly used beautiful women to seduce wealthy men into coming home with them. Once under the gang’s control, the men would be tortured with electric shocks into handing over bank cards, pin numbers and other valuables. This is some deep ish. You have to be pretty desperate to work as a prostitute to avoid going back to jail. Damn! Getty
Ummmmmm 98-Pound Woman Says She Only Eaten One Thing For 13 Years Ramen noodles are all this has girl needed to survive for the last 13 years. via NY Daily News It’s one thing to get by on ramen packets when you’re short on cash — but quite another to eat nothing but instant noodles for more than a decade. Georgi Readman of the Isle of Wight, U.K., has an extreme aversion to fruits and vegetables and subsists on the salty, preservative-laden snack. She became hooked 13 years ago and now, at age 18, claims to eat nothing but noodle packets, which her mother buys for her by the dozen. Readman estimates she eats 30 miles of noodles every year, and said even the thought of other foods makes her sick. “I hate the texture of fruit and vegetables,” she said. “I can’t go to my friends’ for dinner or go out for meals because I don’t want them to see me freak out if the side salad touches the stuff I eat. Mum goes to the supermarket and brings back as many packets as she can afford. “I always fancy noodles and could easily eat two packets at once. I’ve even eaten them dry and uncooked before!” Readman first tried ramen at age 5 and gradually phased out other foods. She shows signs of selective eating disorder, a little-studied and not formally recognized condition in which picky eating persists into adulthood. Selective eaters feel they physically cannot stomach most foods, which may lead to problems in their social, work and love lives. Wow.
Kim puts Kandi on blast ! Kim Zolciak Calls Kandi Burruss Song Lawsuit A Publicity Stunt Via NY Daily News reports: The wife of Atlanta Falcons’ Kroy Biermann has responded with vengeance to the recent lawsuit Kandi Burruss and co-songwriter Rodney Richard have filed against her for copyright infringement for the song “Tardy for the Party.” Zolciak’s rep spoke to the Daily News on behalf of the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, claiming the lawsuit is “a publicity stunt” for Burruss’ new Bravo show, “The Kandi Factory.” But that’s not all. The reality star is also questioning the credibility of Burruss’ experience in the music industry. “Kandi discusses her expertise in the music business and how she has the most experience in dealing with the writing of songs, which includes contracts and protecting herself,” Zolciak’s rep says, “but based on what we’ve seen with this particular song, everything she’s done is very sloppy and messy.” The lawsuit comes three and a half years after the release of the song and Burruss’ willingness to brush off the botched handling of profit sharing as a lack of music industry knowledge on Zolciak’s part. “There’s no merit to this case,” the rep adds. “The perception that Kandi and her co-writer are giving is that they have been paid nothing for the song and that Kim is inexperienced and holding out. All of those things are just the opposite.” In a statement released Tuesday, Zolciak’s spokesman claims Burruss and Richard have been paid in excess of $23,000 for the song. Kandi helped Kim create a whole brand and a HUGE hit song, now she’s snatching her wig? You can’t be serious…

Disneyland is definitely not the happiest place on earth for little black children… It turns out that the white “Alice In Wonderland” rabbit that was hatin’ on lil Elijah and Jason Black ain’t the only racist character at Disneyland. Via NY Daily News reports : The lawyer for a black San Diego family that claimed they were discriminated against by a Disney character during a trip to Disneyland said he’s received dozens of calls from people alleging the same thing. “I’ve gotten many emails and voicemails that I’m looking into. What this tells me is this isn’t an isolated incident,” attorney Dan Gilleon told San Diego’s ABC 10 News. “It doesn’t mean Disneyland is racist, but they have some people in the company who aren’t playing by the rules and are being discriminatory.” On Thursday, a second family came forward to say their two children were ignored by someone playing Donald Duck during a trip to the Magic Kingdom in December. Nastasia White, who is black, told 10 News the person in the duck suit ignored two requests to take a photo with her children, Razzi, 5, and Ryder, 2, and played with white children instead. “[Razzi] was sitting there with his arms open, saying, ‘Donald, Donald!’” White, of Los Angeles, said. White told the station she wasn’t overreacting because the character’s brush-off “was done in a blatant and ugly way.” The White family has hired Gilleon to pursue their case. Disney has not responded to the Daily News’ request for comment. Earlier this week, the company said they carefully review all claims from guests at their parks and hotels. Earlier this week, Jason and Annelia Black, of San Diego, claimed their children and cousins were ignored by someone dressed as the White Rabbit character from “Alice in Wonderland” in August. The Blacks, who are black, claimed the costumed character turned away from them to play with some white and Asian families. Gilleon told the Daily News that Disney officials tried to duck the family’s complaint by offering VIP passes worth $500 in exchange for a signed statement clearing the Magic Kingdom of any wrongdoing. The Black family was suing Disney for violating California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act, which outlaws discrimination based on race, sex and other qualities, Gilleon said. Gilleon claimed the snub was caught on security video, and he plans to subpoena Disney for it. Violation of the Unruh act carries a penalty of $25,000. The Blacks planned to claim anywhere from three to ten violations — based on the number of children present during the alleged snub — and also plans to also seek attorney’s fees and damages, including the cost of the trip, Gilleon said. Kinda funny that the two families involved have the last names White and Black. But there is nothing funny about this discrimination. Disneyland better bow down or pay the fawk up!!! James Cameron will return to Pandora next year. The Avatar director, who attended the premiere of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in Wellington, New Zealand on Wednesday, told the West Australian (via Total Film ) that he hoped to have the scripts to Avatar 2 and 3 completed by February, and to begin shooting by the end of 2013. Cameron, who owns a farm in New Zealand, said he was working on the scripts there, but complained that the beauty of his surroundings was “too damn distracting.” Nonetheless, the filmmaker said, “I want to get these scripts nailed down, I don’t want to be writing the movie in post-production.” He added: “We kind of did that on the first picture, I ended up cutting out a lot of scenes and so on and I don’t want to do that again.” The blockbuster director behind Titanic, Terminator and Aliens has said that he’s writing Avatar 2 and 3 together and plans to shoot them back-to-back to complete one long story arc. (He’s also suggested that an Avatar 4 could happen and the sequels could conceivably be populated with Chinese Na’vi . Cameron also predicted that Jackson’s decision to shoot The Hobbit at 48 frames per second — 24 is the standard — would do for high-definition filmmaking what Avatar did for 3D movies. “We charged out ahead on 3D with Avatar , now Peter’s doing it with The Hobbit . It takes that kind of bold move to make change.” [ West Australian , Total Film ] Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter. Follow Movieline on Twitter.
Peter Jackson ‘s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey had its New Zealand premiere Wednesday, and although local press are still under embargo, the New York Daily News has burst out of the gate with the first published review of the anticipated Lord of the Rings follow-up. What’s the early verdict on Jackson’s groundbreaking 48 fps presentation, which was so publicly panned in previews ? Ethan Sacks’ review is enthusiastic if not terrifically detailed, but let’s cut to the elephant in the room: Will audiences reject the super-resolution 48 fps look of The Hobbit ? “Critics who saw a trailer earlier this year were unimpressed, but after a minute or two of adjusting, the higher resolution is eye-popping, similar to discovering HD television for the first time,” Sacks writes. Phew. Well, grain of salt: This is the first and only review out there now, so we’ll see if other critics agree as The Hobbit begins screening stateside tomorrow. As for the film itself, expect a cameo-filled romp that should satisfy Tolkien fans: “Lighter and funnier than its Lord of the Rings predecessors, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey remains faithful to the fantasy world last seen in the 2003 Academy Award-winning The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King .” There is just one little glaring notation; Sacks warns of one potentially grating character by dropping three of the most fearsome words in popular geekdom: Jar Jar Binks. “Like all unexpected journeys, there are a few pitfalls along the way, most notably the tangential subplot surrounding bumbling wizard Radagast the Brown (Sylvester McCoy), whose buffoonery at times descends into Jar Jar Binks territory.” [ New York Daily News ] The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters December 14. Lindsay Lohan does not read reviews of her performances, according to TMZ , which is a smart move when it comes to her much-publicized turn as Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie, Liz & Dick . The picture, which chronicles Taylor’s tempestuous love affair with Richard Burton , doesn’t air until Nov. 25, and already critics are carving into Lohan like she’s a Thanksgiving turkey. The reviews aren’t uniformly poisonous, and Grant Bowler, who plays Burton, is actually drawing good notices, but Lohan has not been so fortunate. Even the most charitable critics tend to damn her with faint praise, such as Variety’s Brian Lowry, who calls her performance “adequate.” But that review sounds downright positive when you compare it to the Napalming Lohan got courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter. Below are distillations of five reviews from most to least positive. That’s right. I saved the worst for last, and followed it with a trailer from the biopic. 5. Lohan certainly is adequate, barring a few awkward moments, thanks largely to the fabulous frocks and makeup (courtesy of Salvador Perez and Eryn Krueger Mekash, respectively) she gets to model.” — Brian Lowry, Variety 4. “Lohan, in character as Taylor, is often so believable you might think you’re seeing the real thing, but then every once in a while she’ll backslide and deliver lines that sound DOA.” — Linda Stasi, New York Post 3. “Elizabeth Taylor loved diamonds. This new movie about her life feels more like rhinestones….It’s tempting to say the movie’s big problem is that Lohan is no Liz Taylor. And she isn’t — though that’s not entirely her fault. There aren’t all that many actresses, or women, who can stop a room simply by walking into it. Liz Taylor in her prime could do that. She could make men melt. Lindsay Lohan’s Taylor does not.”— David Hinckley, New York Daily News 2. “Suffice it to say, Lohan’s no Taylor (not that anyone is or ever could be). But poor Linds doesn’t stand a chance. As seen here, her skills are rudimentary — made rustier by a long absence and a lot of other extracurricular activities. She delivers lines dutifully, competently, and at times woodenly, but she also looks like someone who has to think about what she has to say before she says it.” That’s usually called “sleepwalking through a role” instead of actually “occupying” one. Lohan is somewhere in-between most of the time, though closer to sleepwalking.” — Verne Gay, Newsday 1. “It should come as no great surprise that Lifetime’s Liz & Dick movie starring Lindsay Lohan is spectacularly bad…. Lohan is woeful as Taylor from start to finish. But, whatever you do, don’t miss Liz & Dick . It’s an instant classic of unintentional hilarity. Drinking games were made for movies like this. And the best part is that it gets worse as it goes on, so in the right company with the right beverages, Liz & Dick could be unbearably hilarious toward the tail end of the 90-minute running time. By the time Lohan is playing mid-’80s Taylor and it looks like a lost Saturday Night Live skit, your body may be cramped by convulsions.”— Tim Goodman, The Hollywood Reporter [ TMZ , Variety , New York Post , New York Daily News , Newsday , The Hollywood Reporter ] Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter.
