Funkmaster Flex Arrested For Catching Fade With Some Jawn

Ah boy here we go, he must have dropped a bomb on her. According to TMZ reports : Famous hip-hop DJ Funkmaster Flex was arrested today in New York after a woman told police Flex pushed her, tried to break her phone … and then sent her threatening messages. Law enforcement sources tell us … cops responded to a domestic violence call from a 40-year-old woman in home in Westchester early this morning. When cops arrived, Flex was nowhere to be found … but the woman insisted he went ballistic on her and left. Cops managed to locate Flex a short time later — and arrested him on charges of harassment, aggravated harassment and criminal mischief. Flex was arraigned in Greenburgh Town Court a few hours ago and was released on $500 bail … but he’s been ordered to stay away from his accuser — pending a hearing later this month. Lets be clear fam, you GOTTA keep your hands to yourself! *bomb drops*

Chris Brown Wants Rihanna Restraining Order Lifted

Chris Brown is looking to get the restraining order against him lifted. It’s been in place since he pummeled Rihanna senseless prior to the 2009 Grammys. His lawyer, Mark Geragos, told Judge Patricia Schnegg that Brown did 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling and requested that the order be lifted . “It makes it difficult at award shows and such,” Geragos said. GOOD DAYS : Now other guys take and leak Rihanna topless pics . Shame . Judge Schnegg did not immediately grant his request but did suggest a modification of it, pending the approval of Rihanna’s attorney, David Etra. The decision to modify the restraining order will be filed in court at a later date. The judge did praise Brown again for his commitment, however. In fact, she was so pleased, she told Brown that he can come in “next time you’re in town” instead of scheduling a future progress report hearing. To date, Brown has done 581 hours of community labor and domestic violence counseling. Aside from the occasional Raz B feud , he’s been great. He remains on probation through mid-2014.

Flavor Flav To Release Memoir In March

By James Dinh Flavor Flav Photo: John Shearer/ Wire Image In keeping with the recent artist-to-author trend that’s seen everyone from Jay-Z to Justin Bieber penning books, Flavor Flav will release a memoir called “Icon” in March. Published by Farrah Gray Publishing, the book, which has been listed on Amazon.com, will be a 264-page account of everything Flav, from his early days in Public Enemy to his recent years as a VH1 reality-TV star. According to Amazon’s product description , the hip-hop icon will take readers “in vivid detail behind the scenes of his multi-faceted career.” Not only will Flav reveal the underlying tensions within Public Enemy and with Def Jam records, the hype man will also divulge details about his early struggles with addiction and his multiple visits to rehab and jail. But his memoir isn’t all pain and suffering as the 51-year-old star will also give glimpses into recent years, when he reinvented himself as a VH1 reality ringleader, spawning the hit shows “Flavor of Love” and “Strange Love,” alongside Brigitte Nielsen. Straddling the worlds of music and reality TV, Flav presents his take on both of them and describes how he has dealt with the pressure. On the cover of “Icon,” the rapper appears in a red suede jumpsuit with his signature accessory, a big clock hanging from his neck. Rocking matching sunglasses and an unusually stiff afro, Flav slouches underneath another clock chain attached to his bold name stamp. Portwood, who was arrested Monday , is being held on $5,000 bail and is expected to be released later Tuesday. The state of Indiana has prohibited the 20-year-old from having any contact with her daughter, Leah, or the alleged victim, Gary Shirley. The Joseph Kahn-directed clip portrays the downward spiral of an abusive couple, played by Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan, as they appear to be just as much lovers as they are fighters. Reactions to the video have been strong, with many fans noting the clip’s cinematic vibe. “It was a good mini movie,” MTV News reader down.to.fly wrote. “In the end Megan’s sitting there and she looks so perfect but then you see the bruise near her eye and it’s shocking. Shows how ugly the relationship really is. Well directed,” down.to.fly continued. Another commenter was left speechless after watching the clip as he revealed it touched home in more ways than one. “This video is hot, awesome, I can’t explain it. WOW!” Queli wrote. “What a good performance, what a great message. Eminem if u see this, man I know what it is to be in a relationship like this one, I am glad I got out, hope you are as well. God bless you and Rihanna, keep on going man, you are being heard.” Emotions got the best of Mark Anthony Sanchez as he shed a few tears while watching the video. “Awesome…I keep watchin’ this over and over…I cried I ain’t gonna lie…this is his best video and for sure the best of the year….Eminem, Rihanna, Megan, Dominic, perfect,” he said. Twitter users shared their 140 characters on the clip, even making Eminem a worldwide trending topic in the process. @jhamirah was able to describe the clip in no fewer than four words, saying, “Wow. Intense. Uncomfortable. AMAZING!” @Bella31102 thought that the clip was like no other. “The most powerful music video I have ever seen!” she tweeted. Kahn’s portrayal of the couple’s abuse is not held back in the video, and that realism didn’t sit well with everyone. “I have some issues with Eminem and Rihanna’s new video.
